We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.

The house is spacious and in a nice location. If you’re interested in a rustic, somewhat dated cabin feel, then this house is a good option. Personally, I prefer a more updated look and feel, along with inviting well- maintained decks. We chose this place because of the view but there’s only a small space where the mountain range is viewable and it’s beside a very prominent dead tree.

All good , driveway a little tricky until you get used to it.

Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!

We live on the Outer Banks of NC and enjoy visiting Asheville several times a year and we always rent a home in the area for a week for our family. We've stayed in wonderful places but this haven in the mountains checks all the boxes! Nestled among the trees and the view is spectacular, close proximity to Asheville ($7 Uber ride), comfy beds, well equipped home, porches and wildlife! 2 bear sightings in the yard, a raccoon and beautiful birds! We will definitely come back!

We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think that’s to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. It’s close to town but feels like you’re far away, it’s a very peaceful location.

Enjoyed the fact that we were so close to downtown Asheville but also in the mountains so it didn’t seem like we were in town. One of the better houses we have stayed in that has good amenities and beautiful views.

Stayed here three nights as part of a cross-country road trip. It was our favorite of all VRBOs on this trip. The views are divine! The house is large, comfortably furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen. Having the washer and dryer in the house was a real plus. With three adults (one couple), the layout allowed for privacy for the couple on the second floor and convenience for the single on the first floor.
We found the driveway to be easily manageable with our SUV (not 4WD). Parking was easy and right at the house.
We would love to stay at this rental again.

We are four girlfriends on our 15th annual trip.
The drive and scenery up to this mountain home amazing. Grant, the owner, was so responsive to any questions and concerns to make sure our stay in his home most enjoyable. The home is very clean, supplied with all you should need to enjoy a relaxing and restful stay. We were blessedto have found this place. Thank you!

It was a good rental, clean, very friendly owner. Loved the views, the driveway is gravel and I would recommend a 4wd vehicle but not a big deal.

The pictures of this cabin look awesome. I chose it because of all the windows, light, balconies, and location. It is comfortable and well furnished. The location to Asheville is very convenient. The master bedroom is upstairs and is a suite. The two bathrooms are small and present some challenges to share but can be done. The number of towels in each bathroom is impressive. The outside of the cabin could use a good cleaning and some improvements. That is cosmetic but would be nice. The outside furniture does not invite you to “come and relax.” We could not get the upstairs t.v. To show a picture. The owner nor manager were helpful in response to this matter. Parking for one car is adequate but more would be a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the mountains.

We loved staying here. It was secluded enough that we felt like we were in the woods, but close enough to get to town quickly! We even saw a bear! Would definitely go back.

This house is in great shape and in a beautiful location close to downtown Asheville. The porch needed to be cleaned after spring's pollen along with some interior ceiling fans. The kitchen needed more flatware but otherwise was very nice and the owner provided much appreciated paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, body soap and toilet paper. The road up to the home is winding but doable, the driveway is very steep but in the warmer months should be no problem. I would definitely recommend using your emergency brake once you've parked up hill hear the house. There are bears in the woods at times so be careful not to let your children or dogs roam around by themselves. The bears live there and the ones we saw were just hanging out letting the cubs play. If you don't bother them, they shouldn't bother you. Please note the house rules for disposing of garbage and securing the home before leaving.
This home was a delight! A beautiful oasis in the trees with fantastic views!!! If you're traveling in the winter it's highly recommended to have 4 wheel drive.
We will definitely be renting this home again.

The house was perfect for our group. Wonderful views, secluded, yet close to the city. It gave us the best of both worlds and I have already recommended this house to friends and family. Grant was helpful and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property for anyone.

Loved property. Some inside upgrades would be nice. Linens and bedding nice. All just a little tired. Loved supplies for basics like tp, paper towels, trash bags, etc.

The property is on Town Mountain and close to the city. The roads can be a tad challenging and the driveway to the house needs grading for sure. It is quiet and an easy car ride to all. The property is clean meets all traveler's needs. Plenty of deck space for sitting and absorbing the view. Lots of windows for sunlight and scenery. Parking is limited and as the only guests it did not become an issue but could possibly if the other 2 rentals on the driveway were occupied. All in all- very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Very pleased with this spot. Easy to get to, close to downtown, and most importantly, very relaxing. The home was very clean upon arrival and looked exactly like the pictures. The view was amazing and we loved spending nights on the deck looking out on the mountains. Would recommend 100%!

Very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as promised. Bedroom and common space arrangements were perfect. The main deck view was amazing (no leaves on the trees yet) - and we also enjoyed the private decks off two of the bedrooms and screened porch is another outdoor-ish spot to enjoy. This is the mountains - so first finding the drive took some attention. But it all became easy to navigate during our stay. Highly recommend - esp for a group of adults with a designated driver. :)

Three friends. Three states. Three arrival times. Three very happy visitors.
The listing provided an accurate description of the property. Everything was as promised, and more. A decorated Christmas tree and a few holiday decorations welcomed us and added to the overall feeling of joy at being "away from it all" for a much needed get away. Our first hint of this was the climb up the mountain to our home away from home and the beautiful views we anticipated.
We were not disappointed with the views or the property. We loved the open concept of the first floor, with the added bonus of the views. The dining and kitchen area served us well. We had everything needed for meals in, yet were within 10 minutes of Downtown Asheville and great restaurants and activities. Visits to the Biltmore, the Grove Park Inn and other local attractions were easy from this location.
What the listing description doesn't capture are all of the thoughtful touches the property included. From the minute the outdoor, action movement light came on until we left, we discovered touches that made life easier. Whether it was a grab bar in the bathroom (this was a happy addition to the guest with a sprained knee) or the detailed list of notes and instructions left for guests. A power outage the first night while waiting for one guest to arrive created a scenario where the info became very important. It led to the location of flashlights and provided a number to call for emergencies. The local contact assured us that the outage had been reported and was being worked on. The detailed notes provided a sense of relief. In the multi properties we've used, this was the first time the notes had been used so extensively; typically, we need them for taking out the trash and what to do with the lines (information that was also on the list). It was obvious that the owners put in a great deal of time and effort to identify and provide everything a guest needed to feel at home.
As we left, one of us had one disappointment - we didn't see a bear. The other two of us were relieved, not disappointed at all.

This house has everything we needed for a family Thanksgiving trip. It has a kitchen with everything you’d need to cook a full meal (plenty of bowls, plates, silverware, pots, pans, can openers, wine openers, and a bunch of other equipment). The view is breathtaking! It was great waking up and immediately seeing the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was quiet and peaceful sitting on the porch in a rocking chair looking out at that. The gas fireplace was so cozy and easy to use. The beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve slept on (the whole family agrees). The bathrooms were well stocked. This home is only 10 minutes from Dow town Asheville and at the entryway to the BR parkway. It was perfect for our needs. I would definitely stay there again.

Loved this property! Close to downtown, the Biltmore, and the blue ridge parkway. Clean, roomy with a fabulous view. Do agree with others that the driveway is steep, but shouldn't be a deterent, it is manageable. Also if you plan to cook, you do need to bring basic cooking supplies ( oil, spices, condiments, etc) but well stocked in terms of cooking equipment and utensils. Highly recommend!

Nice well kept home with beautiful views in a very peaceful setting. It was very comfortable ..good beds and nice linens. For the most part it was well stocked with the exception of the kitchen which was very basic as compared to other VRBOS we've stayed in. Nice pots , dishes etc. ( these were plentiful) . But, if you plan to do any cooking you need to know that there are no staples of any kind, not even salt and pepper. You will need to make sure you have everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay and would reccommend it.

A little worn but very clean. Property and the view are both quite dynamic.
