We had a great stay. The location was central to everything we wanted to do in and around Asheville. The house had more than enough room. Was well stocked with all you need for a week’s stay. We will definitely visit again.

We (all 5 of us …friends for between 40 and 47 years) met here, coming from Connecticut and Florida. The home is amazing. We wanted for absolutely nothing. The views, the decks, and every room was stunning. We could not have had a better place! Thank you so much. Every little touch was so greatly appreciated! We visited Asheville, the Biltmore and Chihuly exhibit, and took the Great Smoky Mountain Railway during our stay. Eating at Curate was such a treat! Everything was perfect.

We came for the herb festival at the ag center and it was only about 15 minutes away, so the location was great. We did lots of cooking and visiting and the home was perfect for this. The kitchen is very well equipped. The only thing that was less than ideal were the stairs. I just didn’t realize they were steep and rather short so my oldest sister had some trouble with them. Other than that, everything was really lovely and perfect for my siblings and I to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Highly recommend!

Cold Moose was lovely. It had plenty of space for the 6 of us. Our kids loved the basement, the intercom system and the catwalk above the living room. The space was clean and well stocked. The four full bathrooms were great. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper, towels, trash bags, etc. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were approximately 20 minutes from each Asheville attraction we wanted to visit during our stay. We are definitely considering coming back and bringing our other family members.

You read that correctly. My group of 6 friends (women now in their forties) have stayed in this house every year, for 7 years straight. We don’t even discuss where to stay for our annual Girl’s Trip anymore!
Perfect location, great views, great decks, plenty of space, and a terrific host. You will not be disappointed!

I really do love this house. Stayed here before. Always clean. Beds are the only thing. Little too hard and uncomfortable, otherwise great place

This is our second stay at this home. Loved it this time as well. Clean and organized. Great location and has all of the space we needed as well as a great view.

It is a clean, well maintained home. Quirky with its period appointments, but loved. The location will make you want to move in. Permanently.

We loved this house. It was in a rural setting but 10 minutes to restaurants and stores and 20 minutes to downtown Asheville, The Biltmore, and the Arboretum. We felt like we had the best of all worlds. It was the best-stocked rental we have ever had. Would highly recommend this house for anyone interested in spending some time near Asheville in a very bucolic setting.

We chose Cold Moose Cabin for the location, its welcoming descriptions and its being very dog friendly. The house is so clean and organized—probably the most thoughtful short stay rental place we’ve visited—everything well stocked and labeled. Love the colors and decks. Like being in a tree house. We accidentally packed a flex retractable dog leash with ours and will send it back this week. Oops! Dog walking supplies right by the door. Also the library’s worth of books downstairs is amazing. Incredible variety of classics etc.

So clean and well stocked. One of the best places we ever stayed. Had instructions for all electronics, light switches etc. Very considerate and understanding owners. Would return in a heart beat. Thanks so much!

This house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Asheville, Black Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway and many other sites. It had plenty of room for our family of 6 adults and one teen and provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would highly recommend it and definitely consider returning. (Also no scary driveway.)

The place was very clean. We had a great time meeting family here plenty of room. Was pretty close to ashville
The place had plenty of beds and plenty of supplies for everything we needed. We brought supplies not knowing what we would need but everything was there for us. Only suggestion would
be to trim some of the trees in front of the deck for a little better view but it stay was awesome. I would definitely go back to this house again

This is our fifth time staying at Cold Moose Cabin and every time we cant wait to come back. It's close enough to Asheville we can run in for breakfast and close enough to Hendersonville we can drive down for lunch. Aside from the peace and quiet there's that mountain view that never seems to be quite the same evert day. My wife is already bugging to make another reservation.

We had a lovely time spending Christmas at Cold Moose Cabin and made many new memories together. There are many sliding doors on all three floors and seeing the mountains everyday was just lovely. The home is filled with comfortable beds, furniture, and a complete kitchen with all the things you need to use to cook. Having 4 bathrooms was great! Our grandchildren, ages 2, 6, and 10 had plenty of room to play. They were excited as we made ornaments for the tree and baked cookies to decorate. We are very familiar with the Asheville area and enjoyed visiting our favorite places, the Biltmore, NC Arboretum, downtown Asheville and especially Twin Leaf Brewery (our son's brewery). The owners are very quick to answer you too if you have any questions. We would totally recommend staying here.
Happy New Year! Linda & Scott

Our stay was very good. The hostess "Marisue" has it right, from the labeled light switches to the household supplies. We also had an early Thanksgiving while we were there. We also saw a couple of beautiful sunsets from the deck. We will be back. Thank You, Roger G

Love this place ! We stayed at Cold Moose Lodge several years ago and it's even better now. It was immaculate. Everything we needed was provided. And being dog friendly was the icing on the cake. My (adult) kids were thrilled with the deer walking past the house. Close to downtown Asheville. Just a great all around home. If there is anything negative I could say, it would be the stairs. It's a tri-level house.

My family, my guests and I were very satisfied with this property! Very comfortable. There were a few large spiders and webs on the decks. Hopefully, you have a service for that. We would definitely stably here again. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Cold Moose Cabin for our family girls trip. From our youngest kid of 10 years old to our eldest lady of 72, we all enjoyed our stay. The home was cozy and plenty of bed options. The view from the bedroom porches was definitely everyone’s favorite part of the house. The kitchen was really well equipped so we got to enjoy meals at the cabin while also grabbing some tasty treats close by at 12 Bones and Tupelo Honey. While the home is dated in some ways it has all the needed comforts to make for a great vacation.

It’s a beautiful mountain home conveniently located just minutes from Asheville. The house was well stocked with all conveniences and the owner was very commutative and helpful. It really felt like home.

House is great! Very close to a wedding we were attending. It had everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. The only minus was the Queen bed upstairs. It was extremely hard.

This property was perfect for our family of the groom. We ranged in age from 22 to 88. Everyone was comfortable. The house was immaculate! Lots of space for all ages. Host was always prompt in answering any pre trip questions. Location perfect for all wedding events with easy access to airport for family arriving from afar. In summary: best possible experience!

This property is just as described and shown in the pictures. Perfect. It's such a roomy house that felt like home. I liked that the size made it easy to have quiet reading time alone, or family game night all together or just peaceful porch time with me and the husband. The host was amazing and leaves extras in the fully stocked kitchen like popcorn and checkin and checkout were super simple processes. The location of this mountain hideaway is awesome, we were in between Asheville and Pisgah Forest and close to many breweries and restaurants. At first I looked for rentals right downtown, but I'm glad we ended up here instead because it felt like we were in the middle of nature even though it is a neighborhood. We stayed here with our four children but the house would have been perfect to take the grandparents or friends. Feels like a home away from home on vacation. I hope we get a chance to stay there again!

Conveniently located to Asheville
We absolutely love this cabin. It was beautifully decorated with local arts from artists that we saw at the market. It was very well set up for multi families. Plenty of bathrooms and each bathroom , (as well as the pantry) , was fully stocked. That was a nice surprise because my typical VRBO‘s require you to bring everything and it sure does make it easier to travel when basic items are there.
Conveniently located to everything downtown beautiful Asheville has to offer. We truly loved our weekend here and plan to go back.

Asheville Vacation
We absolutely loved our stay at Cold Moose!!! We were very comfortable in this wonderful, spacious home. The view from the balconies was amazing and just what we needed to recharge. We such a nice time gathering around the large dining table in the evenings to share our meals. We made lots of wonderful memories on this trip and cannot wait to return one day!!

Very comfortable home, quick drive to Asheville and other attractions.
Easy and quick communication with host. Clean and comfortable home with all the amenities you need. A little under 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. Very close to airport and Sierra Nevada. Uber and Lyft fares could get pricy but not bad if splitting it among a small group. Would definitely stay here again!
