Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of our family's lakeside retreat home on the peaceful Little River cove on Lake Barkley! Our beautiful cedar cabin is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, swimming, fishing, boating, relaxing, playing games, or sharing stories.
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, photos almost can't do this house justice! Our house has hardwood floors throughout with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen canopy bed with custom-made designer bedding, and an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed with a beautiful lake view, while the 3rd bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds (one has a full bed on the bottom, and a trundle underneath). The main bedrooms have lake views and doors opening onto the deck. The fully-equipped kitchen contains counter top seating, a kitchen and larger dining table, and stainless-steel appliances. The living room has a huge, modern sectional couch with huge windows and an amazing view of the lake!
Step outside to the huge deck, to enjoy the lake view, sunset over the lake, or a view of the night sky, or BBQ with our gas grill. Take an easy stroll across our gentle slopping lawn to the private dock and take a dip in the lake, fish, just relax and watch the boats go by, or dock your own boat.

The property is sprawling and beautiful. The house, itself, could use some updating. Not the place to watch TV-family room tv is small for the space.
The patio is in rough shape and grill and accessories were dirty. The outdoor ceiling fan/light was covered in cobwebs.
Not sure if owners knew ahead of time, but the water was only about 2 feet deep. I didn’t think to research as I am not a lane person and assumed you could swim.
However! Teresa the owner was wonderful! And if you are looking for a quiet, rustic getaway you could not ask fur better hosts.

We had a great time. Sat on back porch, cooked and rented a boat. Also explored Cadiz and Grand Rivers (Patti’s 1880). Awesome place and can’t wait to go back

As other reviewers have said, the property is even better than the pictures show. My family and my brother's family stayed here as a jumping off point to see the 2024 eclipse. We already want to come back. The house is perfectly set up with comfortable rooms and a great gathering area. The property is incredible with a huge, private outdoor space and fantastic waterfront. Loved every minute here!

This location was a perfect half way point to meet up with friends. The house was a nice space to spread out. The yard was spacious. The lake was low, but still nice view. It was perfect for what we needed and we had a nice quiet New Year Celebration.

The property was as stated/shown.....other than the back yard is actually much larger than it appears in the listing. House was nice and well stocked....could use some new pillows. Location was fantastic and our dogs had a great time in the yard. Lots of critters around, lots of birds. Eagles herons etc. We took a hummingbird feeder with us and enjoyed the show. Overall, very nice and peaceful place. Owners nice and easy to work with. If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back trip, I'd highly recommend this house.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. All amenities were handy and clean. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Each morning we saw at least 4 deer. Plenty of wildlife ranging from deer, ground hogs, wild geese, and the neighbors chickens. Minutes from the Lake Barkley beach, and the Bison/Elk prairie. A dollar store and gas station close by for last minute snacks, bait, and supplies. We enjoyed the grill and back deck. We all caught fish: blue gill, and cat fish. We would love to come back when the crappie are hot. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The Atwood’s.

My family was looking for a place to stay for a long weekend. The Lake Barkley house did not disappoint us. It was exactly like the pictures , but better!!!! The neighborhood is quiet and the house boasts all the comforts of home. We rented a boat from Lake Barkley Marina for a day. Then another day went to the State Park Nature Station. I would suggest water shoes for swimming off the deck due to the muddy bottom. But we loved fishing and swimming off the dock. Also, if you love deer, don't be surprised to find them roaming in the backyard. There is a food store close to the house, in Cadiz, if you need to stop for groceries. Loved our stay!!!!

Thank you for your beautiful home for the weekend. My daughter is at Murray State university so being 6 hours away, we rented this perfect place and spent the weekend.
We brought a few of her teenage friends, whom also loved it. Only about 40 minutes away from Murray if you have any GSP kids and need a family day that is NOT in a hotel. Highly recommend a lake day. Even 2 familes (one with a boat, and one with a jet ski) would be perfect!
We brought our jet ski's and put in the lake just a few minutes from the house.
The floats supplied by the rental house was fun. The kids loved the hotdog float.
The grill was great for outdoor use.
Everything we needed, was right there. Just pack a suitcase with a swimsuit and you are set.
There really is not any large grocery chain stores close by, so either do that when coming in, or make the 40 min trip back to Murray to the Super Walmart.
Caseys (a little gas station that has a pizza place inside) was delicious! Quick, easy, and close by.
Food Giant was a small grocery, but had the basics.
Dollar store close by as well.
Only negative, was our weather. It just did not want to cooperate!~ I would love to return for a longer stay.
Owner was very responsive to any questions as well prior to arrival that we had.

This is a delightful, rustic cabin that's convenient to Land Between the Lakes park. Unlike many short-term rentals in the area, it feels like a proper home, which I much prefer. My daughter loved tramping around the backyard and going out to the dock to watch the water-birds foraging, though there wasn't any actual water at the dock while we were there. All in all, it was a great, cozy fall experience and I want to thank Teresa for sharing their vacation home with us.

We had a lovely time and the house was perfect for our group of six people. The lake was very low and not ideal for kayaking/canoeing, which was a little bit of a bummer but not the owners fault at all. I would try to come back when the water is higher if that is important to you. Otherwise, fully recommend this spot!

Great time with family and friends at a wonderful property
We usually don't go to the same place twice, but if we did I would stay here again. House layout was perfect with 4 bunk beds for all the kids and 2 larger bedrooms, one on each end of the house, with lake views from both. There was plenty of room for the kids to throw a baseball, football, or Frisbee when they were not swimming or kayaking. Water was a little shallow, but it was perfect for the kids to put a life jacket on and float for hours at a time. Plenty of seating inside and out for the 8 people in our group, and there was a Wii that the kids enjoyed every morning.

The Lake House
The house was in a nice location on a back water section of the lake, the water was not deep but deep enough for the kids to play in and have fun while not having to worry about them as much. The neighbors are very nice and friendly. Large back yard for the kids to play in, it was very easy to message the owners who responded back in a very timely manner about a couple issues that needed attention or an awareness to the owner. The maintenance men were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Quiet wonderful spot
We really enjoyed our short trip to the Lake property. The house was well equipped and we loved the private dock access along with the canoe and kayak available to spend time in the water. If you are looking for a place to spend a week or a couple of days this lake house is a great option. Our only complaint was the massive amount of bugs that made the back porch unusable at night- can’t really control that but maybe an screened in area would be an option. Otherwise we loved the property.

Lakefront R&R
We had a lovely break from the daily grind at this lakefront property. Very quiet cul-de-sac. Short drive to everything we needed/wanted: about 10 minutes to groceries and gas, 30 minutes to hiking. Less than one minute to fishing from the dock. Fair warning: restaurants closed on Sunday - we didn’t realize beforehand, but found out this isn’t uncommon in these rural (maybe even urban?) Kentucky communities.

This is a spacious and lovely home with wonderful views of the woods and lake. The location was peaceful and quiet. We were a party of nine and the accommodations fit us nicely. This rental is well-stocked in every way possible. Dealing with Teresa makes it clear why she is a "Premier Host."

SMALL WEEKEND GETAWAY
Very nice place. It probably would of been even nicer, had they cleaned the back deck of Spider Webs, Spiders, Debris in the Gutters, Wasps . Bugs Everywhere. The deck was just horrible. Other than that, not a bad place. I

Overall, the Cadiz lake home was perfect for four. It was generally very quiet and private, with plenty of room to spread out in the large living room or on the outside deck. On Saturday (Labor Day weekend), a party a few houses down featured off-key karaoke into the wee hours. But that was heard mostly when sitting out on the deck. The number of stars visible was unusual for city dwellers and added to the feeling of remoteness. We were able to cook a few meals and found most of what we needed. You may need to move pots and pans around to find items. We didn’t find a cutting board until we were almost finished cutting. The omelet pans have lost their non-stick ability, so our omelets were served as scrambled eggs . Also, plan on extended cooking times on the Weber gas grill. With the lid closed, the temperature never exceeded 350. It took an hour to cook our meal that normally takes ½ hour. All of us wished our stay was longer. I would have tried out the canoe or started a fire in the pit. We are considering a visit again next year.
