About this apartment rental

The "Giulia" apartment is located up in the hills above Stresa (about 250 metres altitude) and has panoramic views over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding countryside and mountains. It is surrounded by a large, fenced garden and is only 1 km (5 minutes in the car, less than 10 minutes on foot) from the bustling town centre of Stresa. The location is very peaceful and quiet.

Stresa is 42 km (less than an hour) from Milan-Malpensa airport. From the end of March to the end of September there is a bus service called "Alibus" which takes you directly from Malpensa airport to Stresa. Alternatively, a taxi can be arranged for you (120 Euros single).

Its railway station connects you easily with Milan (45 mins fast train), where you can shop, sightsee, or simply sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the majestic Piazza del Duomo.

Stresa is the most popular tourist destination on Lake Maggiore and it's not hard to see why. With its beautiful lakeside promenade dotted with grand Belle Époque hotels and villas, its sunny beach and outdoor swimming pool (Lido Carciano), its delicious restaurants and little shops, many selling local products, its mountain walks and lake sports, there is something for everyone.

The town faces the famous Borromeo Islands of Isola Bella and Isola Pescatori so just hop on any ferry to discover the enchanting beauty of Lake Maggiore, its fascinating villas along the shore, the Piedmont towns of Arona and Intra and the picturesque town of Laveno nestled on the other side of the lake in Lombardy. You can even take a full-day boat tour all the way up the lake to Switzerland (Ascona and Locarno).

Less than an hour's drive away are the ski slopes and nature trails of the Mottarone mountain.

The Giulia apartment has free Wi-Fi/Internet. Air-conditioning and heating are also included in the price. Garage and parking at the property (free e-parking station). On the balcony, you also have a power point to charge electric bikes. There is a lift.

This bright, spacious living room has been stylishly furnished and has satellite television and fully-equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, microwave oven/ mini oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, electric coffee-machine) and dining table and chairs. It opens out onto a balcony (8 x 2 metres) with table and chairs where you can eat outside and enjoy the fabulous views over Lake Maggiore.

There are 2 double bedrooms. One has twin beds which can be made up as a double and a balcony with lake view. The second room has two single beds (they cannot be made up as a double since the room is long and narrow) and a view of the garden. It has one bathroom with shower and bidet.

There is a separate laundry room with washing machines, dryer and iron + ironing board on the ground floor of the residence for the guests to use.

A dog is welcome (small supplement).

This apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The living area is modern and spacious. We loved sitting on the balcony admiring the view. With the hot weather the air conditioning was much appreciated. We drove from the uk and the apartment was easy to find with convenient parking. The walk into town was very easy ...it of a hill but only about 10 mins to restaurants, bars and ice cream. Also easy to walk to the station for trips to Milan and Locarno. The friendly welcome from Giuliano was also much appreciated.

The location and accommodations Residence Le Primule was excellent. The view was spectacular, couldn’t get enough of the view of the mountains and village below. The short walk into town was awesome, all downhill so remember it’s all uphill coming back so wear comfortable shoes. The place was clean with the necessary amenities i.e. access to clothes washer and dryer, cooktop, fridge and dishwasher. Very modern and furnished accordingly. The fact that has AC is a bonus on those warm evenings. Highly recommend this place for those wishing to stay in Stressa 😁

La vue est à couper le souffle, l'accueil et la disponibilité de Giuliano, qui nous a surclassé, adorable. L'appartement est très bien équipé (il manque peut-être juste quelques touches de décoration au mur). Nous avions peur d'être un peu loin du centre mais le trajet (même s'il monte un peu au retour) se fait très bien à pied. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable. Merci

Sehr schönes Objekt. Stresa an sich sehr sehr schön. Schade, dass kein Sandstrand vor Ort, aber trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert. Ferienhaus - EUNDERBAR! Sauber, modern ausgestattet. Sehr freundlicher, hervorkommender und unkomplizierter Bertreuer. Unser Familie hat sich sehr wohl in der Wohnung gefühlt. Wir haben paar wunderschöne Tage dort verbracht und würden jeder Zeit gerne wiederkommen und Das Haus weiter empfehlen.

Mit dieser modernen und hübsch eingerichteten Wohnung und dem tollen Ausblick auf den Lago, lässt es sich in Stresa sehr gut aushalten. Die Wohnung (Nr. 6) hatte eine Prima Größe für drei Personen. Die Küche ist ausreichend und gut ausgestattet. Der Blick vom Balkon ist - ob beim Frühstück oder beim Abendessen - unglaublich schön. Von Stresa und den Attraktionen in der näheren (aber auch ferner liegenden Orten) ganz zu schweigen.... Übrigens: die Altstadt ist fußläufig in ca. 5 Minuten erreichbar! PS: Danke Giacomo für alles! Hat uns gefreut, dass du uns herzlich empfangen und betreut hast!!!!!

Eine wirklich schöne geräumige, saubere und neuwertige Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Toller Blick auf den Lago und kurzer fußläufiger Weg zum Zentrum. Viele schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung möglich. Unkomplizierte, schnelle und freundliche Hilfe durch Giuliano bei Fragen und Problemen. Allerdings ziemlich hellhöriges Haus und auch Straßenlärm durch die unten gelegene Durchfahrtsstraße. Die Anschaffung eines Besens und Kehrblechs für die Wohnung wäre nicht schlecht. Haben aber alles in allem 2 sehr schöne Wochen verbracht.

Accueil chaleureux et appartement trés agréable à vivre : décoration moderne, vue extraordinaire sur le lac. Le ménage est compris ce qui est appréciable en vacances. A moins de 10mn à pied du centre de Strésa, mais 10mn en d'escaliers et de pentes. Gardez un peu d'energie pour revenir après vos sorties. J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir

Nos vacances en Italie ont été extraordinaires ! Le propriétaire était charmant, très à l'écoute, et a toujours été là pour nous renseigner. Le logement était super à tout points de vue, et mes enfants étaient ravis avec leurs lits qui se repliaient dans le mur (Alba). La vue était exceptionnelle, à chaque repas sur la terrasse, nous étions émerveillés. Ce fut tellement merveilleux que nous songeons à revenir, mais cette fois pour deux semaines !!

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO RELAX

Die Ferienwohnung in sehr guter Lage ist sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön gepflegt, die herrlichen Hortensien-Blumen sehen toll aus und der traumhafte Blick auf den See haben uns sehr beeindruckt. Der kurze Weg die Treppe hinunter zur Stadt ist sehr praktisch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ganz lieben Dank an Giuliano für die Betreuung und an Sie, dear Chantal.

This is a fantastic apartment, all new, very clean and satisfying in its simplicity. The views are to die for, we could hardly tear ourselves from the balcony! Giuliano was very friendly and helpful, always available when we needed it. Quiet yet close to Stresa center, one needs to pay attention on the narrow and busy street winding down towards the city. A car would be useful. We will definitely return.
