About this apartment rental

This recently renovated ground level apartment offers great views to Bribie Island, the park and the boardwalk. As part of the quiet Golden Shores complex, it is ideally located in the sought after northern end of Golden Beach. Separated from the water by just a narrow strip of lightly wooded parkland, it is an easy stroll to the water, Stockland Shopping Centre, or the Golden Beach cafes.

The patio opens out to the grassy surrounds and offers easy access to the walking paths, the complex pool or you can sit and relax while watching the action on the water.

On those hot balmy afternoons, you can laze away beside the pool, take a dip in the refreshing ocean waters only metres from your doorstep, or enjoy a walk along the famous boardwalk.

The lounge is furnished for relaxation with comfortable chairs, free Wifi and Netflix, and guests can download from their own providers directly to the Smart TV for quality viewing. There is also a great selection of books and board games.

The modern kitchen has all of the usual amenities including microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, and ample supply of crockery, utensils and homeware plus added bonuses such as a coffee machine, nutribullet and soda stream.

The laundry contains a washer and dryer, brand new blinds throughout and a new crimsafe screen door complete the package.

Both property is air conditioned and has ceiling fans.

The location is great with this unit and has a great view of the water. The unit does need a thorough clean though, there were dirty cutting boards and utensils upon arrival, a thick layer of dust all around, old toothpaste stains all over the bathroom sink and toothbrush holders and under the bathroom sink there was bottles of mould killer, bleach and other chemicals (so be mindful if you have children as we had to place a lot of chemicals out of reach in both the bathroom and kitchen areas) Another unpleasant part of our stay was having to smell cigarette smoke all day whenever we had the doors or windows open from a neighbouring upstairs unit (again, not great if you have young ones) Easy access to the pool is great and plenty of shops and cafes are within easy walking distance. The garage will only fit a small car though so parking on the street is the only option for larger cars. The until was well equipped with utensils, cooking essentials and board games etc.

What a disappointment this property was. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday after selling our home in Pelican Waters. After settling in, I noticed I was having a lot of allergy type symptoms. My wife discovered the property had mold throughout. As she pulled the beds out the night of our arrival to make them she found mold on the backs and base of beds and the walls. She spent over an hour cleaning it that night. We reported the mold the next day and they sent someone to spray. I thought that may have taken care of it. We extended our stay thinking that it is was better. As my wife looked around, she found more mold in the kitchen around the windows and bathroom around the window and behind the door. The more we stayed the more I experienced allergy problems from the mold. I called to cancel my extension and get a refund. The acting agent, Judy, was condescending and sarcastic in our conversation, stating that if I was so bad that I shouldn't be staying at the property and saying also that if I was that bad that she was "surprised" they are letting me fly. After several conversations with agents (some nice) about the situation, Judy told us that they were going to repost the property for the days that we extended our stay and if they were rented she would refund us. Well, we kept checking the website and it was never reposted. My wife was disgusted after hearing my first conversation with Judy and couldn't believe how she was handling the situation (and the patronizing tone in her voice). This whole situation could have been alleviated if the agent came out to look at the property. But, she did not. She simply made us feel like we were conartists and were making a false claim. One of the questions the agent asked me about was why we continue to stay at the property if my health is so bad. We wanted to stay at this property. We just wanted a few weeks to relax and a chance to rest. We had just sold our property and were exhausted and really didn't have the energy to up and move. Plus, we shouldn't be required to. The Local Agent in Caloundra should be checking their properties to make sure they are properly cleaned and maintained. (we have pics. but are not allowed to post). What a shame that someone who should be looking out for the interest of visitors as well as the owner were not doing either. I'm sure the Local Agent office will have some comment but beware.

Our stay at the unit was incredible! Close to beaches, shops, fishing spots, kayaking/paddle boarding and so much more! The unit was imaculatly clean and had little extras such as a picnic blanket - which just added to the experience. 10/10 would recommend staying here and I will definitely be back!

Excellent stay and location
The location of this unit is very peaceful and relaxing. The unit is well equipped and comfortable with excellent access to the pool and walking tracks. Lovely views day and night. Also want to add my 89 yr old grandmother thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Such a holiday is not possible without ground floor access and an accessible shower. We are very grateful.

We had a very enjoyable stay in a lovely unit with ease of access, lovely views across to the water. Budget priced for holiday, good access to shops and beach etc.
