The kitchen is well equipped, and the location is nice for staying in town. It's not the closest to the main area, but it is walking distance to most restaurants and shops. The house feels very secure, and the bedrooms are well decorated and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the washing machine wasn't working during our stay and we were relying on it to wash clothes as we were on a multi-stop trip. We couldn't find any alternative laundry sites that could wash our clothes on short notice, so we went with sink washing. Also, the two main bathrooms have a plumbing issue, and there is a terrible, moldy smell coming from the drains. The bathroom overlooking the pool has a problematic toilet as well. In the guest bedroom over the garage, our visiting friend had trouble sleeping due to the scraping tree limbs on the roof all night. Another problem is the woodfire stove in the sitting area, in that it allows a lot of smoke into the room (so much so that you have to open all the doors and windows to air the place out, which in winter time defeats the purpose of a fire). There is also no back up power source, so we felt the full effects of load-shedding during our stay.
We had stayed here previously with some of the same issues, but decided to give it another try. Unfortunately this time we've decided we wouldn't stay here again.

very homely, and comfortable. Everything was spotless and the house was well equipped. we were there for the wine trams and the location is literally across the road to the station. perfect

We were unaware that the garden backed onto the main road so there was a lot of traffic noise.

Location was great. Opposite the wine tram and easy walking distance to shops.
Wonderful entertaining, pool and barbecue area.
The owner was very helpful and an excellent communicator.
The internet was very poor and we were close to the road so there was quite a bit of road noise until about 9.00pm.

This house is truly amazing. It looks like something straight out of a magazine. It definitely exceeded my expectations and then some! I only had 2 nights here, but I would love to come back and spend more time here. The bedrooms are spacious, the beds are so comfortable, with outstanding bathrooms and both big bedrooms had balconies.
The kitchen was beautiful and spacious, the entryway was so cute. The living room was comfortable, but my favourite place of the property is the backyard. The patio, outdoor kitchen, pool and garden are just perfect. I could have spent a whole day just relaxing out there. I only wish one day I can own a place like this. It is a dream.
It is also the absolute perfect location if you are visiting Franschhoek for the wine tram experience. The tram is just a couple minute walk which is very handy after a day of drinking wine ;)

Well appointed, peaceful location and yet easy access to town and all amenities. Lovely outdoor area with good dining seating and swimming options. we have stayed here before and was just as good we remembered it.
Good AC and wifi when power on (load shedding obviously can limit this but that is a national issue and not the property!). Lamps and candles and gas stove and large braai mean can still enjoy the property when shedding is happening.
Great support from Candice if any queries or issues and easy check in/out procedure.

Perfect walking distance to Wine Tram over the road and Pick and Pay. Comfort and ease of use in the property is amazing as well as contact from owners about how to access the property.
We used the Braai one night and worked a treat in the outdoor area. Will definitely be back! xx
Small amount of road noise if using pool area during the day. Quiet at night

I absolutely love this house. It is the second time I booked this specific accommodation in Franschhoek. It is tastefully decorated, big but cosy and welcoming - I booked it for my daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready in for her wedding.
Nothing. Everything was outstanding.

A stunning and spacious house only a couple of minutes walk from the wine tram. Stunning pool and BBQ area which we didn't have time to use but would be lovely for a family or group of friends. Very conveniently located, close to the town centre. Very tastefully decorated with good security.
The only improvement we would suggest is for the host to greet guests on arrival to make it feel more welcoming and homely. It would have been helpful to have a quick run through of the buttons on the remote (gate, garage, panic button etc.). We accidentally set off the panic alarm, but reassuringly a private security guard did turn up shortly after to assess the situation!

this property is a gem! really good value for money. the interiors were so beautiful. its like it came out of a magazine cover. the facilities were highend. the fridge was beautifully made. wish we actually had more things to put in them. the kettle and toaster was Smeg. there was a laundry area too which really helped!
maybe the fact that we didnt know that there was going to be a power outtage. but apparently its normal all over south africa to have power outtages to save electricity. we also wish the fireplace produced more heat but other than that our stay was awesome!

The property is very spacious, has a great layout and is very comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice.
Candice was great and very responsive to our queries
Although it wasn’t a big problem for us, accommodation of this size should have a tv for the rainy days.
We did run out of gas within minutes of us arriving, but as per previous feedback from the owners there was a replacement cylinder. The storage room in which it was stored needs to be cleaned though. It was not pleasant to be in there swapping out the cylinders.
There also wasn’t enough toilet paper and we had to request more.
It’s a minor detail, but there were no normal glasses and only beer or wine glasses

Beautiful well looked after property.
Fantastically equipped.
Centrally located.
A TV would have been nice. The wifi did however make streaming on my laptop possible to watch the rugby match on Saturday.
