The owner, Niro, and his staff's exceptional accommodation made our stay memorable. The well-prepared meals, cozy room, and the relaxed hangout area with a campfire added to the positive experience. The absence of mosquitoes and insects contributed to a comfortable stay

Great location and great staff
A bit pricey for what you get compared to other places in Sri Lanka, especially the food.

Such a beautiful Place! Amazing staff und really good Service. The Food is amazing, really
Although the Food was super good, we didnt know beforehand that you actually rely on it. The town is a Bit away and since the Stay is inside of the Jungle, you have to eat at the lodge.
It would‘ve been nice to Talk about that fact and also the costs before or maybe on arrival

Highly recommend staying here. The staff are some of the nicest people we have ever met and they went above and beyond. Bbq by the fire and guided tour of the surrounding wilderness were some of the highlights. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.
We loved everything, but just a few words of caution - this is camping, so don't expect all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. There's no electricity, no A/C or even fans in the tents, and when it rains there is the odd leak in the ceiling. You need Nero to come pick you up and drop you off from the road end (I wouldn't even try to find it yourself, even with a 4WD as it's super easy to get lost). Although the website describes the campsite as "luxury camping'' I think that's possibly over-stating it; it's reasonably basic, but that was just fine with us. We loved it and hope to come back some day and see Nero's plans for developing the property further come to fruition.
Oh, one more thing - although there are some Q&As on the site where it's stated credit cards are accepted, they aren't, so you'll need to bring cash - either rupees or USD.

Awesome place! If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place in the middle of nature go to the campers lodge! Niro and his friends are very welcoming and try to make your stay best possible.
The tent is clean and the outdoor shower is great!
When we arrived Niro gave us a free walking tour through the bush, showing us local plants (with one flower they prepared an Ayurvedic tea for us afterwards) and animals. He also arranged next morning a very good safari for us. The campers lodge is located conveniently near Yala Block 1 entrance.
The food is also delicious and plenty!
I can totally recommend this place and we will come back!

view is spectacular. hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. they lit fires and cooked us a bbq dinner
mysterious stains on the sheets in 4 places. just a bit gross. also got charged slightly more than anticipated (conversion rate always seems to work a 1000 rupees more in the hotels favour… seems to happen everywhere in Sri Lanka)
description of facilities offered is also a little bit far fetched… if you’re looking for bowling bla bla bla you might struggle to find it…

Family Community run eco lodge in the jungle, close to Yala.
Wonderful team of Niro and the the guys making excellent food and accomodating to any needs.
Fire and the stars gazing at night were so cozy and memorable.
Great company to chat to and learn about life in Sri Lanka and history.
Thank you very much Niro! All the best wishes and prosperity!

Niro (owner) and his staff is very accommodating! He made sure everything is well prepared from the foods and the room. Their hangout place is very chill with the campfire at night. Just ask him any request as long as he can do it and he will do it for you. The fish bbq dinner and the sides are all delicious including the breakfast. We felt safe and had no problems in our stay (no mosquitoes/insects). He also prepared the safari tour for us. Just make sure to ask about the tour ahead of time. This campsite is highly recommended! Please book them.

Awesome glamping in nature, with only the sound of animals. Lights twinkling from the stars above and the fabulous campfire provide the most picturesque nights. Niro and his team are the friendliest, most hospitable hosts you'll even come across. They'll do absolutely anything for you, and you'll leave as friends, wanting to do absolutely anything for them!
Nothing to dislike, it was all amazing! Don't come here expecting a 5 star hotel with hotel comforts, but come here if you're looking for the most relaxing nature break and a fabulous Yala Safari with 5 star hospitality, amazing campfire dinners and divine local breakfasts.

We loved the tent, you can hear all the sounds of the nature so if you want a real natural immersion,it’s just perfect! It was clean and had all the necessary you need to sleep, shower, and go to the loo ;)
But what we really loved is not only the tent itself but the fact you can enjoy the outdoor a lot, there are handmade Wooden chairs Where you can just have a Cup of a delicious herbal tea, while watching the nature and spot some deers, buffalos, birds, eagles…
Everybody makes you feel like home, all the people here are so warm, welcoming and trying their best to make your stay incredible!
The food was always very good and made with a lot of love! How amazing to have a tasty dinner in the wild, in front of a bon fire!
We went fishing in the afternoon and even though we have not caught anything, we had the best time and we laughed a lot!
A big shout out to everyone there, the energies are fantastic, if you want to deconnect from the “normal city life” and discover what life is really about, then you found the perfect place!
We will be back for sure, thank you again for everything!!!
Nothing, it was a very great place to stay!

Nero was extremely helpful and went above amd beyond to make our stay memorable. Food and scenery are amazing! Perfect for those looking for an escape from city life as you're out in nature with no WiFi or electricity, only solar powered lights for the rooms. A true gem in Yala.

The staff was very helpful in every way, we went on our honey moon trip around Sri-Lanka and campers lodge was one place we visited. Everything was arranged well, a surprise candle light dinner on a rock 🪨, a safari was arranged on time early morning. If you want to taste the true taste of Srilankan culinary food without artificial additives only true lankan spices. Highly recommend this place.

What a beautiful place on earth!! We really enjoyed our stay. The tents are clean, luxury, privat bathroom and have awesome outdoor showers. The staff is full of love, well known about the surrounding jungle and always helpful!! All our wishes are completely full filled. We stayed for two nights got super delicious dinner, lunch & bbq and did a 6h Safari. They always offered us tee, Caffe, fresh fruits and all we wanted. Our guides took a lot of time to show & explain all the animals and the landscape of yala nationalpark -- beautiful impression's!!! We highly recommend this wonderful, peaceful place!! Come and enjoy the sound & magic jungle with all his amazing animals, trees & plants.
We wish you guys just the best and a lot of love -- keep on rockin'

Had an excellent stay in The Campers Lodge Yala with lots of joy, very clean and cool tent, tasty food and friendly environment. Niroshan and his entire team were very friendly, helpful and the service provided was excellent. As a nature lover, It was a great pleasure to get an awesome opportunity seeing a herd of deer even at the periphery of the premises.
I would highly recommend spending your time here with this young and professional crew.
Best of luck and wishing all the very best for your future endeavors.

Great Staffs, Nero, Oscar and Sasanger are very friendly and super helpful. BBQ dinner was delicious. Love the outdoor shower.
The tent is basic without electricity, wifi, hot water. Good to get away and be with the nature.
It is very hot during the day. It was too hot that we couldn’t stay inside the tent.
