Fantástico resort de playa

La ubicación del hotel es excepcional, así como las habitaciones con piscina, que son una maravilla. El espacio de piscina, donde te sirven la cena es fantástico. Repetiríamos sin duda.

Los servicios complementarios del hotel nos parecieron un poco caros para el país.

A 10/10 stay. Everything was perfect and the staff amazing!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with beautiful smiling faces. We were a group of 10 and were told that a special dinner on the beach was to be prepared that evening. The rooms ( suites) were spotless with a seating area and balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Dinner on the beach the cocktails spectacular and breakfast generous.

Perfekt, um 2-4 Nächte Ruhe zu suchen und auszuruhen

Wir waren 6 Nächte im Good Karma, um uns am Ende unserer 3-wöchigen Rundreise etwas zu erholen. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig/ abgelegen. Perfekt für Ruhesuchende. Sri Lanka ist ansonsten sehr „belebt“…hier hat man endlich mal Abstand von den ganzen Menschen. Den Strand hat man quasi für sich alleine. Leider ist das Meer im August sehr wild, sodass man beim Baden wirklich aufpassen muss. Die Zimmer sind schön, groß und sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das WLAN war das Beste WLAN auf unserer ganzen Reise. Frühstück und Abendessen war gut (kein Buffet). Die Massagen waren RICHTIG gut!!!

Wir hätten in den 6 Tagen gerne trainiert. In der Beschreibung steht etwas von „Fitnessbereich“. Das stimmt so leider nicht. Diese Angabe sollte gelöscht werden, weil sie sehr irreführend ist. Es gibt einen überdachten Yoga-Outdoor Bereich, wo jeden Tag von 8 bis 9 Uhr morgens eine Yoga-Stunde bei einer sehr lieben Yoga-Lehrerin angeboten wird. In diesem Bereich steht eine sehr alte, verrostete Hantelbank mit ein paar Hantelscheiben und zwei sehr rostigen Kurzhanteln. Das Essen war zwar gut, aber die Portionen für Sportler nicht groß genug und der Protein-Anteil etwas zu gering. Wir hätten uns ein Buffet gewünscht. Da die Umgebung nicht sehr touristisch ist, gibt es auch nicht viel rundherum. 3-4 Restaurants…das war’s eigentlich. Supermärkte, Apotheken etc sind ca. 4 km entfernt. Für 6 Tage, von denen es 2 Tage durch geregnet hat, war’s dann doch etwas wenig und zu wenig, was man im Hotel machen konnte. Preise für Getränke, Essen und Massagen waren aus europäischer Sicht zwar okay, aber schon doppelt so teuer wie in allen anderen Hotels/ Restaurants, in denen wir vorher waren (darunter sogar 5 Sterne Hotels).

Pequeño paraíso

Pequeño paraíso entre playa y selva. Muy bonito, lugar ideal donde perderse. Con acceso a una enorme playa con espacio privado. Habitación amplia ideal para dormirse con las olas del mar de fondo.

Solo hay ducha fija. Le faltaría un mango para mayor comodidad. Hay muchos perros en la zona del hotel. Pero todo genial.

Entspannte 2 Nächte am Strand

Ruhige Lage direkt am Strand. Schöner Pool verfügbar und alles Recht entspannt. Freundliches Personal. Grosse Zimmer, sauber und gemütlich. Schöner Sandstrand der erstaunlich sauber ist. Yoga am morgen kostenlos verfügbar.

Etwas laute Klimaanlage. Zu starke Wellen um wirklich im Meer baden zu können und drumrum kann man Recht wenig machen jedoch kann das Hotel hier natürlich nichts dafür :) Essen im Hotelrestaurant ist ausbaufähig. Wir waren am zweiten Tag auswärts essen was uns eher zugesagt hat und deutlich günstiger war. Die bettelnden Hunde im Essensbereich sind nicht jedermans Sache.

Wunderbarer Ort um zur Ruhe zu kommen, wir würden sofort wieder kommen!

Unglaublich guter Service, es ist eine sehr sehr schöne Anlage, toll gepflegt und sauber. Super schönes Zimmer, gute Klimaanlage. Haben gratis Late Check Out bekommen (low season). Massage war super! Late direkt am Strand nicht zu toppen. Getränke Preise waren fair.

Beautiful hotel on the beach with great food

Very clean and beautiful gardens. The hotel is on the beach and also has a brilliant pool. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Absolute Paradise!!!

We loved everything about Good Karma: the villa, the staff (everyone was soooo friendly and helpful :) ), the food, the lovely dinner on the beach, yoga sessions, the view on the beach.. We had an amazing stay and can only recommend Good Karma!! :)

Paradies in Sri Lanka

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Anlage ist ein Traum, wirklich wunderschön. Wir hatten eine Villa mit Privatpool mitten im Dschungel direkt am Meer. Der öffentliche Pool ist auch traumhaft, tolle Lage, fast am Meer. Das Essen und der Service Spitzenklasse. Wir können diese Anlage zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

Da gab es absolut nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Good Karma is a wonderful place right on a beautiful, clean and unspoilt beach. We liked our spacious room with sea view very much. The staff were very friendly and we were touched by the free dinner on the last evening at the beach, it's such a nice gesture! We would have loved to stay longer. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax.

Four days was not enough!

Good Karma was perfection. The beach was idyllic, deserted and pristine. Monkeys and monitors were living within the resort which was wonderful. The free morning yoga session was worth getting up for! Although we had only booked bed and breakfast we ended up eating all our meals in their beach front restaurant.

Everything! It’s such a perfect spot to relax, surrounded by nature and far from the town hustle. The villa’s interior is beautifully designed. Everyone is very helpful and always happy to make extra step to help you. The manager, Akila, even organized driver in other part of Sri Lanka. There are lovely dogs & cats around but they are not disturbing at all and the staff take care of them and feed them well :) great massage, couldn’t stop adding one to my daily program! The food was good as well, nice breakfast and good coffee. I hope to come back there very soon!

We were searching for a quiet romantic stay, and that's really what we get in good karma, they were honest and the manager is so helpful and kind, the staff is smiling all the time and helping from their hearts.😊 We really enjoy our stay, and don't ever forget to have a massage. They have one of the best in srilanka😉

Private villa was a great size and had a lovely pool. Breakfast was good. Staff work really hard to keep the beach/pool/resort tidy and clean. Supan in particular deserves a mention as he went out of his way to bring us drinks and food. Lovely shower.

second time and great again

This is our second time staying at this hotel on our long trip to Sri Lanka. And it's still the best hotel on our trip. Still the best food in the restaurant, geared more towards the European public. For everyone who is tired of curry, greasy, and overcooked food. Paradise for vegetarians and followers of the " mediterranean diet." Always fresh seafood straight from the ocean, great cocktails, and the best breakfast with stunning views of the beach and the endless ocean. Well maintained grounds, lovely spa, and very helpful staff.

The definition of paradise

This is truly a magical little hotel. Although it is a proper hotel (i.e not a guesthouse or b&b) it feels very intimate. Akila, in particular, was really thoughtful and attentive! The rooms are beautiful and have all necessities e.g AC, water kettle, beach towels etc. For breakfast you can choose from a number of a la carte options so you have variety but it eliminates the food waste that comes from buffet style dining. The hotel dinner is also delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful. On your last night you can have dinner on the beach with candlelight, flowers, and torches. It’s no wonder that this hotel primarily attracts couples (although there were a few families with children when we stayed there). The facilities are beautiful…it feels like a lush jungle (lots of plants, green parrots, and the occasional monkey) right by the beach. There is also a pool and enough sun loungers for everyone so you don’t have to stress about getting to the beach early. The location is amazing. You have direct beach access to stunning rekawa beach. It’s technically not a private beach but it practically is because it is so empty and the nature is surprisingly still quite untouched. In the surrounding area you can check out the lagoon, watch fishermen bring in their haul (really interesting!), and there are a few family-owned cafes and restaurants in 2-7 minutes walking distance that have delicious sea food. Tangalle is also only a short tuk tuk ride away. Lastly, this is a great hotel for dog lovers as there are few main characters that are super friendly and well cared for.

lovely, friendly hotel on a stunning beach.

Really lovely relaxed hotel, on a beautiful empty 2 mile long beach. Just a few other hotels and restaurants scattered along the beach. A little away from the town of Tangalle, but an easy tuk-tuk ride. Great pool, which was needed as the sea is a little rough with dumping waves. Loads of loungers on the beach, lovely food, very hospitable staff. Special thanks to Akila for all his help.

The only very small issue we found was that there could have been a bin, down by the beach, for wrappers, cans etc when sunbathing. We mentioned this to Akila and he had one ordered within a few hours. Great to see a hotel acting on people's suggestions so proactively.

Excellent choice for our stay in Sri Lanka. A very cozy, friendly and well taken care resort. The spa is amazing, a true retreat for the body and mind-special thanks go to Kelum and his magnificent hands. Same for the other spa therapists. Food was outstanding, we had fresh tuna and seafood which tasted exceptionally good and fresh. Service and staff in general are very professional and always with a smile on their faces.( thank you Dilanka!). Highly recommend!
