About this cottage rental

This superb barn conversion is located between Tamar Valley and Dartmoor National Park, sleeping eight people in four bedrooms.

The Granary is a beautifully converted barn nestled in Devon countryside near Dartmoor, Tamar Valley AONB and the market town of Tavistock. It comprises four ground floor super king-size doubles (zip/link can be twins on request in advance of arrival), sleeping eight altogether. They each come with en-suite bathrooms and there is a ground floor cloakroom (WC) and utility. The first floor plays host to an open-plan living room with kitchen and sitting area with woodburning stove, as well as a separate dining room. To the exterior is ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden at rear with lawned area, patio and hot tub. There is even use of the tennis courts made available to guests. The Granary is a marvellous getaway to choose for your next break.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. 2 x TVs, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire/stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Enclosed garden at rear with lawned area, patio and hot tub. Use of tennis courts available to guests. Two well-behaved dogs welcome there is fee for dogs. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: There are three steps up to one of the ground floor bedrooms. Note: The Granary is unable to accept Saturday arrivals - please bear this in mind when making your booking.


Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?


Town: Tavistock has an indoor pannier market, a range of shops, a choice of pubs, bistros, restaurants, a theatre and a cinema, as well as a leisure pool. There is walking on Dartmoor, cycling on The National Cycle Network no. 27, renowned game fishing, gardens of distinction and various National Trust properties nearby. Within easy reach is the maritime city of Plymouth, Torbay, the Eden Project and the sandy surfing beaches of Devon and North Cornwall.
