Tolle, ruhige Lage, sehr urig und sehr freundliches Personal.Sehr gutes Restaurant. Hundefreundlich.
4.3
Breakfast hamper was very good.
Regrettably we were not given any warning of some work taking place in the room above which started at 8.00am with drilling, banging and sawing .
4.3
The place was really cute and exactly what you would be looking for if you’re after character
The staff were so lovely and helpful
That we didn’t stay 2 nights

Accomodatie is so beautiful and lovely cottage- bit small if you’re tall
breakfast in your room and later in the hall but all is from a list which you have to mark - there is no table with all what you can choose from disappointed because all hotels we had - had perfect breakfast - croissant was in a bag etc
host could be bit more friendlier- Pub and restaurant were closed

I really liked the accommodation, it was beautiful
The staff were very friendly, we had our dog so we were impressed with how dog friendly it was .the food was delicious too.
Although we understand it's old , we had a really loud toilet flush which we worried it would be disturbing the people below us as well as us . As we could hear the chap below snoring loudly so knew the sound could be heard .

I’ve had the most wonderful stay. Lisa went over and above to make our trip from wales memorable. Everything was perfect, the food was divine, my cottage was spotless and omg the breakfast basket was to die for with fresh and local produce. Highly recommended to stay here and I will definitely be back. The staff were also lovely. Thank you all for making our stay and little treat amazing. My dad is poorly so these memories were priceless.
It’s simply gorgeous.

The food is superb and the staff were so warm and friendly. Great location for walking.

Perfect location, stayed the night before boardmasters festival, great location just off the motorway and a short drive in to town for food.

Beautiful setting, great food, great drinks. Really nice and helpful staff, couldn't do enough and nothing was too much trouble. Last minute booking as my wife broke her ankle on Dartmoor, and they were so helpful. Will definately be returning.
Can't fault the hotel or staff at all.
4.3
Rustic charming thatched building and location suited us fine
Room smelt damp ,very limited power sockets all in the wrong place for the vanity mirror for hair drying & straighteners ect Staff weren't very welcoming and wouldn't let us leave out van in the car park for the last day we had to check out before 10 He told us we could park on the rd and take a chance which wasn't very helpful Room was poorly lit with only lights at the far end The wardrobe smelt damp Overall very disappointed as it wasn't cheap ,Not good value for what we paid

Lovely location, unfortunately it was raining but I am sure on a sunny day the garden and the view would be very nice.
Staff were very friendly and food in restaurant was good.
Room was a nice size and bed was comfy.
To many emails pre arrival, very repetitive.
Room was damp and cold even though it was the middle of July, I understand it is an old building and yes it was raining but it smelt musty, it wasn't just damp from that day
Very basic tea & coffee in room - no fresh milk offered or any biscuits.
I felt £106 was a lot for room only and no breakfast considering the room wasn't 100% it certainly didn't meet my expectations compared to the website.

Lisa went beyond every expectation - extremely grateful for all your kindness you showed us- highly recommend a stay or two or 3 with Lisa and her crew at Bearslake Inn. Thank you so much Lisa🙏✨️😁
Nothing, everything was outstanding 👌
4.3
The location is fantastic with a small stream bubbling through the open areas. The building is beautiful with thatched roof, exposed beams and masses of "old world" charm.
Check in was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast basket was novel and a great change to the regular soggy hotplates you normally get in a hotel stay.
Nothing to dislike
4.3
breakfast was very well presented and filling .loved presentation. more than willing to pay the price.
Nothing well above our expectations

Excellent choice – I had enough for lunch as well!
Piped music from the bar was audible outside & so in my room
4.3
Beautiful location, lovely spacious room, yummy dinner and dog friendly.
Strange smell in the bathroom

A beautiful 13th Century Thatched Inn, only stayed for one night but is dog friendly throughout, has a large garden with babbling brook, and the room was a lovely size with a super comfy bed. The Inn is situated next to The Granite Way which is a gorgeous walk with stunning views. would have liked to have stayed longer, the anniversary card, chocs and some treats for the dog was also a lovely touch.
didn't like the automatic service charge added to the food bill.
4.3
Comfortable bed and huge room. Very hot water. Super towels. Tea and coffee making facilities. Didn’t try food as we were going to a function conveniently close.
Nothing, within the confines of our visit. We didn’t sample the bar, the restaurant or the very pretty gardens.
4.3
Location good - breakfast not so good- dinner was good
We chose badly for breakfast which was probably our fault
4.3
Quiet and comfortable. Very large room.
Felt quite isolated and no evidence of staff anywhere. No heating!
4.3
The room was beautifully laid out. Fantastic service in the restaurant, staff so polite and food really good. Beautiful view from the bedroom out over the moors.
Only complaint was the room was noisy until maybe 22:30 and then noisy from 7:30 onwards as it was above the restaurant and right next to a busy kitchen. Room was wonderfully quiet out of busy hours though,
4.3
The hotel room was Ok, but very old fashioned . Very cold with no heating
Not a lot
4.3
enjoyable stay , lovely room ,well looked after by family owners
Didn't enjoy the breakfast basket !
4.3
The moment we arrived, from the thatched roof to the real fire , low ceilings and friendliness of the staff everything was 100% perfect
I can honestly say there was nothing I disliked about the Bearslake Inn
4.3

weather!

Lovely old inn. Plenty of room so not
crammed in anywhere. Gorgeous quirky old bedroom with clean bathroom. Particularly great food and restaurant service for a pub, more like a good restaurant.
Nothing, although do ask about choice of rooms if mobility problems as very low ceilings and tricky stairs but that all adds to the charm.
