The location was great, not too far from where we wanted to go and the center of town, nice view of the vineyards first thing in the morning, not too mention the owner who was a excellent person very friendly and always happy and friendly, always had a story to tell, I would definitely recommend this place to people who are interested in visiting Peso da Régua and staying not too far from all the attractions…. Very affordable, clean and friendly!!!!there was no breakfast on the premises but that was not a problem they are plenty of little cafés around…. Thank you senhor Carlos for keeping us laughing every time we talked to you, keep on being the amazing person that you are. We will definitely be seeing you again in the near future .

The owner was very hospitable and helpful. He was so kind to offer me a lift as it was a late check-in.
Nothing particular crossed my mind.

If you are looking for a place to sleep for a night or two, then this place is perfect for a couple.
The walls inside the rooms could use a bit of a clean or a new coat of paint and it would be nice if there was a kitchen or at least basic cups and cutlery to use. It is wine country after all, would be great to come back to a place that has glasses so you can drink some of the wine you just bought.

Overall, very pleasant experience. Owner was very nice, everything went by without any problems and we enjoyed a pleasant stay. Though the rooms were on the small side, they were clean and we had everything we needed.
The walls are a bit thin so you can hear some traffic (and bird! :) ) noise from outside. Personally, I had no problem falling asleep however, because the road didn't have that much movement at night.

The hospitality of the hosts was amazing. The people were super nice and they made us feel at home. We walked to all the things in the area and that's super doable. The rooms are quite big and there's everything you need for a comfortable stay

After leaving Porto and riding the Douro Valley train decided to stop in Peso da Régua for a few days so I booked at Vale do Rodo. The owners are not on site so need to call to meet but are pleasant and welcoming. It's a very nice guesthouse with clean rooms comfortable bed and strong wifi. I can easily recommend Vale do Rodo to any traveller!
The only minor thing is if you're walking with backpack like I did, it is a bit out of the way almost 2km. Travelling with car might be easier but wouldn't deter the stay as there are taxis.

Carlos was extremely hospitable. I liked the hill behind the property where he has an orchard, cherries were in season. There’s a grocery store, a restaurant and a winery close by.
It was very quite at night but there were not a lot of guest staying while I was there. Bed was comfortable and a/c worked well. Very clean.
A little bit of a walk to the center of town but not a problem.

Only that is was affordable and cleanish - and that the ownver, when I did meet him, was super personable
There are so many little things that don’t work about this property. For a start there’s no cup to drink water (but there’s a cup holder), the shower holder doesn’t work, and the location - 2km out of Regua next to an industrial area isn’t great. So much so you can hear the cars drive by.
Also, there’s no onsite personnel, and no communication for check in either.

Great views and gorgeous location. Extremely friendly staff who gave us great advice as to where to go and what to do in the region!

Small but comfortable room with a private bathroom. Beds are smaller (for 2 people it's not so comfortable) and there's no chance to open the window so you are forced to use air conditioning. Also that window is really small, the room was not so bright as it seems in pictures (it is quite dark to be honest). Obviously this is a very cool location and the price was the lowest one, but for that price we expected more.

Clean linen sheets and towels, no odd smells and cosy environment.
Mr. Carlos is an excellent host
Room is a little small albeit confortable.
