About this chalet rental

Our log cabin sits only 100 feet from pristine Lake Christopher (Bryant Pond) and just a few minutes south of Sunday River. Located only 1 hour north of Portland, Maine this vacation getaway has something for everyone. With 3 bedrooms and a remodeled interior, we offer you all the comforts of home.

This log cabin is only 1/4 mile off Rt. 26 and only 10 minutes south of downtown Bethel. There is direct access to the very clean and warm waters of Christopher Lake. We have our own dock, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and other floating accessories. Near the cabin is a newer, clean playground for the kids. Unlimited outdoor adventure awaits outside the door in the surrounding area including hiking, biking, trail running, water sports, laser tag, wall climbing, golf, atv rentals, zip lines, mountain biking (literally), chair lift rides, skiing and more!

This is a vacation log home that has plenty of room for a BIG family. Comfortable. Plenty of room in driveway to store boat trailer and easy access to boat launch. Water is super clean but fishing was very challenging with lures. At end of driveway, directly across is the Town Beach. Easy to walk into the water. Bill (Host of property) was very easy to communicate with. Thank you for sharing your log home and hope to come back again soon.

The property was exactly how it was advertised. It was perfect for the eight of us to stay there. We had three nights of laughter and fun. Bill was very easy to get in touch with and very responsive.

We loved the location right on the lake and the use of kayaks and canoes! The kitchen had everything we needed and the views from the deck and livingroom were great for watching the loons :)

We do a friend cabin weekend every year and finally have found a cabin we all love and would book again! Everything was so well stocked, we had so much fun with the kayaks and by the fire. So much space which was so nice. Even with the off and on rain we had plenty of space to be inside or outside. The playground next door was an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this place and will be back in the future!

Our group really loved our stay here. First, the home was very warm, cozy, clean, and the woodstove really added to our enjoyment. There is plenty of sleeping and personal space for a group of friends, and the hot tub really hit the mark in the evenings after a day on the Sunday River slopes. The house/kitchen really had everything we needed (and more!) and the overall value enjoyed exceeded our expectations. Bill, the host, was communicative, and it overall was an enjoyable, easy, comfortable stay that we would easily repeat in future years. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for skiing Sunday River. There was lots of room for us and our two adult children. We enjoyed the view of the frozen pond and the hot tub the most!

My family and I were looking for a lakefront house with a hot tub to do some ice fishing on Bryant Pond. The house was everything we wanted and more! Would highly recommend it if you're looking to get away and enjoy this area. Will definitely be booking in the future!

All 5 of us (2 parents, 3 kids 16 to 25) really enjoyed this cabin. There are lots of beds, so everyone had their space. The kitchen is well laid out and well equipped, the hot tub was wonderful after a (wet) day of skiing, the furniture is comfy and it was really clean. We will rent this cabin again when we return to Sunday river.

I stumbled on this listing for our annual girls trip and knew right away it was going to be a great place for us. While our weather wasn’t the best, we still were able to enjoy company of best friends, share many laughs, cook delicious food, soak in the hot tub and enjoy the view! The house was kept perfectly clean, there was plenty of towels, extra blankets, anything you could possibly need in a kitchen, games and entertainment. I highly recommend this property- it was perfect for us but will also be recommending it to friends with families as the set up is also perfect for anyone with children! Thank you again, Bill- for being so generous with your beautiful house.

We had a great time! I was worried about the weather as the app called for rain everyday, but we had beautiful sunny days and were able to enjoy the beautiful beach! Would definitely recommend and we all want to go back!! ❤️

We rented here again after staying for the first time last year, and it was (once again) balm to the soul. Great time visiting with family, easy location with the lake right across the street, watercrafts & floats available for use, great views, and the kitchen has all the appliances/staples that make vacation stress-free. Will definitely look for this for our next summer vacation in Maine (sadly we have to wait 2 years due to prior commitments) so hopefully it's still available!

7 of us girl's gathered here for 3 nights early September. We had great weather. The water was still warm for swimming. We kayaked around Bryant pond, it was beautiful, even saw 2 eagles. The view was fabulous and so was the hot tub. We are planning to revisit next September 2023.

Wonderful location with easy sandy beach water access. The house has pretty much everything including kayaks and the hot tub was much appreciated. It’s geared out for big groups which was just what we needed. The road work and noise from staging area for the construction on Route 26, which we didn’t know about, was a bit of a hassle but that should be finished soon. Would love to stay here again. .

This property was perfect for what we wanted, which was a stress-free getaway week with extended family. Having a fully stocked kitchen was amazing. The Kayaks and Canoes on site were clutch, as was the firepit outside. The large deck made our Lobster feast easier, and cleaner. The area under the deck was a good hang-out spot when it was hot and sunny. The hot-tub was nice (my 7yo loved it). You can't beat the views! having a washer/dryer on site was really nice too, although the dryer took a long time (3-4x sometimes) to get things dry, but that could be because my teen did too large a load, idk. Overall, we loved it. We've already booked it again for next summer!

Bill was great but the house was even better the pics do not do this great house justice. The lake is a 30 sec walk across the street, it's swimmable, and there's a dock that kids can jump off of. It was perfect for a family vacation. There was space for everyone and the accommodations where amazing. Already planning our next visit.

I've been coming to Woodstock for 6 years 2-3 times a year. The only part I don't like is leaving. Waking up in the morning with a mist hanging over the lake with the ethereal cry of loons cutting through the otherwise tranquil scene is truly wonderous

We travel alot; Italy, France, Hawaii, Carribean,Canada, Belize, etc. We decided to try a lake front property in Maine since travel with small grandkids who are unvaccinated for Covid is challenging. At the Maine lakehouse we kayaked, went fishing in the canoe, listened to the loons on the lake at sunset, shared stories and roasted marshmallows around a campfire, hung out in the hot tub, visited the local zoo/wildlife life reserve, and made great memories. Why had we never done this before; that's the question we heard from our adult daughters and grandkids. This house has everything you need for your next relaxing vacation. The memories we made at the lakehouse will last a lifetime. We can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed the hot tub (with a speedy troubleshooting with the owner and property manager to figure it out), had fun out in the kayaks, and enjoyed the views. Great cabin and would definitely stay again!

My friends and I have been going here for years. It's a gorgeous place, the owner is constantly making improvements. The pond is gorgeous and the beach and kayaks make it. This is one of the few VRBOs that I have stayed in that has everything you could need. Owner is friendly and helpful.

We had a great time staying at Bills property. Easy check in process, and communication. Everything we could need was available. Best view on the pond by far. Plenty of wood for a nice fire with the beautiful sunset over the pond. Hot tub was a nice treat at the end of the day and very clean. Thanks for the great stay :-)
