To start it is in a seemingly good neighborhood. The neighbors were all friendly and talkative. There is a front porch as well as a back porch, both with comfortable seating and shade. The front porch has a fan above to add a nice breeze.
Within walking distance are bus stops and a main train hub. We solely relied on the public transportation, which was easy to navigate. You can either buy transport cards or do a virtual card via an app.
The host was very quick to answer any questions we had (all of ours were silly little questions, and we had no urgent matters or problems during our stay). He was very polite to interact with each time.
The home was clean and supplied with all materials you'd need for a short stay. Towels, TP, & kitchen necessities are provided. The host supplied a fridge full of cold waters (much appreciated on 90* days!). There are 2 couches and a chair for seating, as well as TV if you're staying in. There were ample channels offered.
The 3 bedrooms were big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. I will say the mattresses are on the firm side. I personally do not like firm, however my husband does and loved it. If you have a sensitive back, you may want to bring a topper for comfort. This shouldn't be held against the owner as everyone has their own preferences.
Check in and out was simple. We encountered no problems with either.
We would stay here again if we ever returned to the area.

When ever we go to a city, we like to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere (no sense living like you do at home). This town home allowed just that. The one or two issues that occurred, the host addressed very quickly and were simply a part of the overall age of properties in Washington DC. Nothing was from lack of care. When the host showed up to address the matters, several neighbors came out to greet him as he is a long term resident of the area (30+ years). He wants you to have a comfortable visit and see his town that he loves.
We never got to use much of the outside amenities as it was just too hot (95+ degrees F our entire stay).
One thing to note, there is space at the back of the house to securely lock one vehicle behind a gate. Access is easy down the back deck steps. Every time we came and went, neighbors greeted us and wanted to know if there was anything we needed help finding in the city.
If we ever return to DC, this will be the first property I check for...

This was a perfect place to stay for a visit to DC. The metro was a 15 minute walk and was easy to take into the city. The house was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to come back and relax after a day of a lot of walking. Tyrone was a great host!

We enjoyed our stay in this VRBO. The steps were a little steep for our handicapped person. Would have like some bath wash, or hand soaps in the bathrooms, but otherwise very well stocked with water bottles and household supplies. Owner was very helpful on a day that half of our family returned to the house without a key.
Convenient to Metro too. Nice stay!

Nice patio and front porch. Good beds. Well stocked kitchen. Responsive manager. Fun and funky neighborhood. Everything we wanted!

Wonderful place. The floors are a little bit noisy. And the pillows were worn/flat no fluff at all. There were nails in the locked driveway.
But again it was a great place.

Clean as a whistle, spacious, nice neighborhood, parking, amenities, great owner and communication.

We had a great stay in DC. The house was very comfortable and very clean. We drove into the city and took the metro (parked at Fort Totten). Fun dinners at Oohh & Aahh and Timber pizza. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a great time in DC. The townhouse is very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you might need. The owner responded to all of our questions promptly and was very helpful.
There is a small grocery store at the end of the street with very friendly staff. The small Mexican restaurant next door to the grocery store is not to be missed. The food and service were excellent.
Metro is an easy, safe walk and a great way to get into downtown.
Would 100% recommend this VRBO!

This property was more than I could have hoped for with our budget. Plenty of space, well furnished and stocked, and very clean. A very nice front porch to sit on and a huge deck. The owner stocked the fridge with water bottles, which was very generous and much appreciated. We contacted the owner one time, and he was very responsive immediately. We stayed for 5 nights and took an UBER into the city and back most every day - that worked well and was reasonably priced. Tried the METRO on one day, but for 4 seniors, it was a bit confusing and involved a lot of walking. I highly recommend this property, but because of the type of family neighborhood it is in, I think the neighbors would appreciate it if renters were not noisy people.

The house was very roomy and well furnished. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning kept the place very comfortable (t was very hot during our stay). Access to the metro was close and the super walmart, which was very near to the metro as well, made it easy to get cheap groceries and staples. We would definitely stay again!

Tyrone's property was easy to find with GoogleMaps and street parking was available when we were there (we just had one car). The house was very clean and was just as it is pictured. It was actually more spacious than I expected for being in the city. There isn't much decor, but for me that's a plus since it's less that could get broken (something you think about as a mom). It's also nice to have it simple and relaxing on vacation.
The kitchen was well stocked for most meal prep and the 6 person dining table is also great for families.
The neighborhood was also nice and surprisingly quite for being in the city.
We rented the property to do some sightseeing and museums with our kids; it was nice to be just a few minutes drive from a metro station with parking (Fort Totten).
We didn't have any questions before the trip. Tyrone sent us a message with check in instructions and we didn't have any reason to contact him while we were there.
We would definitely stay at Tyrone's place again.

It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and is a nicely appointed house with convenient access to downtown DC. The place could use table lamps in the living room and bedrooms. The larger bedroom needs another nightstand. There were no wine glasses. Could also use larger coffee mugs. Suggest the listing include that there is a washer and dryer (which was much appreciated!). We enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed this property, perfect for a family.Good friendly neighborhood; neighbors sit out on the front porch and chat.
Ony drawback, no washer and dryer.
If you don't have a car, mediocre supermarket is walking distance; however, it does have fresh fish and seafood!
Perfect location for using public transportation, a close easy bus ride to the Smithsonian.
Highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable, and roomy. A bit of a walk to catch the metro. Quick response from Tyrone with any Q's. Appreciated coffee and bottled water. Would have liked to have some bath soaps.

The location was perfect with access to grocery and the metro. Tyrone and the neighbors were so nice and helpful with suggestions and great conversations. We will definitely be back!

We loved this area - would stay around here again. It was very easy to park at the Fort Totten metro station to get into the city. The house was nice and clean. We had plenty of room for our family of 5. Front and back porches were a nice bonus.

Owner went above and beyond to make sure our trip was amazing!! Let us have an early check in and extended check out. Even tried to find us a spare tire for our vehicle. House was very clean and owner even provided lots of bottled water for us.

Lovely little house on a relatively quiet street. Easy street parking, even with our full sized SUV. It was a short walk to the Metro bus for direct access to the National Mall and the Museums, and just a short drive to the Zoo. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a basic family meal, and we were able to find a reasonable restaurant for take-out within walking distance too.
It was obvious during our stay that they are in the process of renovating, but no major inconvenience to us, and looks like it will be even nicer soon.

My family and I are from western New York. We stayed here while our son attended a leader conference in college park. Before we arrived, communication was a bit frustrating but once we were at the property, Tyrone was very present and made our stay very enjoyable. Although the house itself is a bit dated, it was very clean (dining room cushions need to be cleaned), spacious (we had 5 adults and 1 teen with plenty of room), and great amenities. They had a stocked cabinet with the basics such as oil, spices, coffee filter ect. I am SUPER sensitive to smells and this home did not bother me!! My only suggestion is that if you are super picky about pillows and comforter you bring your own. The house did provide some but they are thin. However, the beds looked brand new and were very comfy!! The back patio has tables, a charcoal grill and a smoker! We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we make it back to DC.

The property is well maintained/updated. The owner Tyrone is very nice and helpful, the kitchen and refrigerator had supplies ready for use including water, spices etc. we had prepared maps and information for visitors, The metro and Buses are a walking distance for those who don’t mind walking a short distance. By my estimation, the property is about 4 miles to the capitols and national mall, and other interesting places in downtown DC. overall it was a great experience which I will recommend to any family visiting DC.

The experience was very rewarding and when I visit DC again, I will definitely stay in this property again. So much better than the nice hotels we normally stay! It was definitely refreshing to return to a house after a long day of sightseeing!

The house is really clean and spacious, good for a larger group. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with a grocery store just a few blocks away. Getting into central DC was a little tricky though… the closest Metro is a 20 min walk away, and then a 40 min ride on the train.

Wanted our grandson to experience a Row House in DC. We walked to Metro 5 of the 6 days we stayed. Also walked to the Safeway, but Uber’d back with our groceries. House is well furnished and very clean. Happy with our choice.

Tyrone's house is just as described. It was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed for an amazing family visit to D.C. We loved the large outside patio space when the weather was warm and we were between activities around town. Would definitely stay here again!
