We came for a wedding. The rooms were small but very nice and the bathrooms were great. Location was perfect and the staff were very accommodating despite it being an extremely busy weekend.

Upon arrival our room was not as expected. however the front desk agent, Emilita, was wonderful. Professional and friendly she worked to find us a room that met and exceeded our expectations. She made the experience 5 star.

Can warmly recommend this hotel. I was on business trip but would love to go back on a private trip. Located very close to White House and walking distance to everything. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Fantastic roof top bar.

Hotel Washington is the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in at least the last 5 yrs. Their check in staff was helpful when we asked if we could drop bags off to go and explore. They made recommendations for dinner and drinks. The host was accommodating when we checked out and desired an ink pen. We had a tour scheduled at WH the next morning and hotel was extremely convenient. The view fromVUE bar at night was magnificent. We loved the experience.

Great Location and hotel!

Our overall experience at the Hotel Washington was good overall. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Our suite room was clean, comfortable and up-to-date in style. There were a few things to note that might be of interest to others.
1st: The bathroom sinks are very small in size (diameter). Our room had two sinks on the counter but one larger sink would have been more convenient and provide more counter space. 2nd: The bar counter does not have a sink. So you need to use the bathroom sink(s) to fill up water or wash drinking glasses, etc. 3rd: The bathtub/shower area does not have a drain so any water that splashes out from the tub and shower puddles up on the floor. 4th: The elevators in the hotel are old and the operation is sometimes frustrating and slow. Other than these things, the room was great. The location of the hotel is convenient and near to several DC attractions and restaurants. Good hotel property with some small inconveniences.

Convenient, efficient place to stay in DC. Loud nightclub on the top floor. Gets very busy on the weekends. Great view!

I had to store my bag when I checked in. When I got it back, the handle was broken - and the bag unusable. It was a Tumi- so not inexpensive. And it was 10 years old. I replaced it with a new Tumi (ouch) and the hotel was rended 50percent of the cost, which I thought very reasonable. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. A welcome change in our new world.
I would only add that there are periods of time when there are long waits for the elevators. But all in all a nice hotel with very nice staff.

I have stayed here many times. Very nice quality hotel. Very close to The White House and The National Mall. Restaurants close by and a couple of blocks away you have Macy’s.

Excellent hotel at a fantastic location. If you are a tourist you can't find a better.located hotel. The service was impeccable and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were smallish but comfortable and well appointed. Considering the location and all the events that were happening in the hotel, it was very quiet!

The room we had booked had no view was okay. Location is great. Staff was friendly. Food in the local restaurant was okay. However, I did see a server pour the cream from one table he was collecting into another cream he was delivering to a different table. That's a Fireclay restaurant issue though and not the hotel.
There were three main issues that garner this lower status review. 1) Partly my own fault for not realizing that the rooftop bar "Vue" 4 floors above me would be thumping bass so loud each night until 2 am that it shook the entire building.
2) The TV kept fritzing out and I had to hard reset it. When I called down for maintenance I was told they would send someone up and that person never showed.
3) The lights in our room were flashing due to some sort of electrical issue. Maintenance did show up for this one, but while we left him the room for the entire day it was not fixed, nor were we provided with an explanation.

Everything was amazing! The only complaint I would have was at the Fire Clay restaurant located in the hotel, my wife and I went for breakfast on Sunday morning, it was not busy, seemed to well staffed, our waited kind of disappeared and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our check, other than that everything was good!

Very nice hotel; beautiful lobby, rooftop, and comfy rooms. No gift shop. Restaurant on property is not great and everything is very expensive, but that's to be expected. Hotel staff are great! Restaurant, not so much.

Our first room was a disappointment for a luxury hotel. Toilet did not work and our shower had some issues as well. On our second day the staff switched our room and gave us dining credit. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed dining at the Patio restaurant the most. Hotel is close and in walking distance to most major attractions. I will stay here again.

Rooms were small but very nice, beds were not super comfortable. Sadly, We were unable to visit the rooftop bar and restaurant because there were private events the whole time we were there. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Just returned after staying 3 nights at Hotel Washington - the location was fantastic - close to the White House, restaurants, the main streets. Our room was very clean. Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar on the rooftop has amazing views. Would absolutely recommend this hotel!

There was a top floor private party going on the 2nd night of our visit that left the entire hotel packed with people attending this event and very loud all night long until about 3am! Not fun for a family with children that needed to sleep. It also would have been nice at check in to have been notified about the event.

I was disappointed to discover some additional expenses that I wasn’t expecting. A so-called location fee is very expensive food and drink in the hotel. But the biggest problem was caused by Expedia’s misleading price listing on apps. There is a huge difference between what shows up in bolded numbers and what the actual cost is, which seems almost fraudulent. I was fortunate to be able to deal with the on-site manager, AlexAndrea, who was very accommodating with regards to some of the fees. But the biggest problem is with Expedia itself, and I will consider whether I use Expedia in the future to book reservations at hotels based on its misleading information.

Overall enjoyed my short stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Was especially pleased with the location. I was able to walk to most of the sites I wanted to visited.
My only concern was the shower floor was very slippery and needs something to help prevent falls.

The bed wasn’t comfortable. They have a rooftop bar so expect loudness. Also parking was $66 a day. Breakfast isn’t included as Expedia states and even after you pay for it you don’t receive anything.

We loved it here and would definitely stay here again if ever returning to DC. The staff were all friendly and happy to help with questions, suggestions etc. Our room was very big, had a lovely big bed, lovely bathroom set up and was extremely quiet and clean. 5 stars!

I truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay again. I will say that it would be nice if there was a separation of the rooftop traffic and hotel traffic. But this did not take away from my luxurious experience

We got absolutely no sleep and more of huge headache with club on rooftop playing high base house music from 10pm -2am. It was like we were in front of the speakers with proximity and sound bouncing off buildings!!! WTH Be aware of this especially for Fri and Sat stays and ask for room away from rooftop bar. Really loud! The staff clearly knowingly put us on 10th floor without even mentioning planned labor day dj event. The couples massage was not good if you actually looking for relief and not just soft once over of your body. Small spa. The massage tables and aromas were nice. Also I paid for a deluxe room with view and there was not one. It was a ledge so you had no view, what a joke. Don't fall for the nickeling and diming to upgrade the room, unless you plan to get a suite. Luxury products boasted but not the case if ever stayed at other nicer hotels. At least 75 bucks added with fees for hotel on top of taxes. Also check online for best deals of plan to stay. Direct Hotel charges were more when i compared. Rooms are small but nice and clean. With quick staycation planned for a relaxing spa experience, nice dinner nearby and a good night's sleep. Disappointingly, we only had the nice dinner. Left less relaxed and slept deprived.
