The breakfast was nice and the food we had the previous night was lovely. It is a lovely little place in a tiny village. The staff were very friendly. The memorabilia throughout the Inn was fantastic. The rooms were comfortable.
We were disappointed that we didn't have an ensuite room. The toilet and bathrooms were down the end of the hallway so going to the toilet in the middle of the night was a bit off putting.

Breath-taking location, friendly staff, great beer and amazing food.
Not on suite but I knew that when we booked so not the accommodation fault

The owners and staff were extremely friendly ans made us feel very welcome. The pub has a lovely typical Yorkshire Dale's feeling to it and the breakfast was amazing. We would most definately return in the near future.

The staff were so friendly and approachable. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was great.
The Internet didn't work when you were upstairs. They locked you out after a certain point during the morning, and if you came in after 22.00 you had to inform them and make special arrangements. I appreciate that perhaps the usual clientelle have finished their nights by 22.00, but to be able to come and go as we please would have been nice. However, what is important is the people, the atmosphere and the room, and they were all brilliant.

Absolutely superb location - two ways into the village - both along narrow Pennine roads, one from Skipton, and the other over the tops from Settle, and across the south side of Pen-y-Ghent! Supremely quiet, and it's a pub full of both locals and travellers, who all want to chat and make you feel at home.
The food was excellent (I can personally recommend the Steak Pudding with mash and gravy), the beer was spot on, and during the day it is full of walkers - and when you are up on the 'Dales, walkers are the most discerning bunch...
We stayed in the King Size room, which has a four poster bed, and has views out the front of the hotel over the green (used in the latest series of All Creatures Great and Small - mostly filmed just a few miles away in Grassington). A lovely room, really comfy bed, and only the noise of the countryside to wake up to (including the local friendly woodpecker...).
Don't expect the wi-fi to be superfast broadband - but why would you come here if you wanted to be online all the time?
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff, and dogs are not only welcome, they are treated as the most important guest in the party.
I can't recommend this place more highly than saying it's the first time we went, and we are going back in two months time just because we can. Give them a ring first, as they often have more rooms available than stated online...
Nothing at all - it was refreshing to dump the iPads and iPhones upstairs in the bedroom and just have a natter - you know - when you speak to someone at the next table rather than check your Twitter account...

Super friendly and caring staff in a beautiful location.
The pub had a lovely friendly feel to it, and was full of nick nacks to keep your attention. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and a tasy breakfast
Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay
