About this apartment rental
Perfect for two, sleeps 4, this South Village villa is everything ‘up north’ should be - Our condo is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located on the property of the Homestead Resort, but not on the Homestead rental program. You are just minutes from the beach, bike trail, groomed hiking and ski trails, and the ski village. Just down the road is Glen Arbor, Glen Lakes and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Glen Arbor offers resort shopping and a choice of delightful restaurants. Spend an afternoon boating on Glen Lake or kayaking the Crystal River. A trip up north wouldn't be complete without the challenge of climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes or a visit to 'fishtown,' Leland. The new Heritage trail is perfect for a bike ride. From our villa you are just a scenic drive to all the other Leelanau Peninsula treasures- orchards, vineyards, golf courses, historic sites, casino, breweries and wineries.
Check out the seasonal events to enhance your visit in any season.
Come, Be Our Guests. Tucked in the northwoods, renters comment on how private, clean, and contemporary our villa is. Easy 3-step entry welcomes you to relax in the great north woods. Start the morning with the birds and a cup of coffee on our wooden deck. After a walk through the woods, a day at the beach, a game of golf, or a drive around the peninsula visiting wineries, return to our air conditioned villa for an evening of relaxation. Visiting in the cooler months? Settle down to a fire in the fireplace and a good movie. Ready for bed, tuck yourself into comfort in our king-size sleigh bed and dream about returning.
Located between the reception center and the ski village of the property of the Homestead Resort, our villa is a short walk to Lake Michigan, the entrance to the Bay View trail and Cavanaugh’s deli.
Glen Arbor: Just 40 minutes west of Traverse City is the quaint town of Glen Arbor. Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, it's a destination spot in all seasons. Summer attracts Glen Lake & Lake Michigan boaters, hikers, dune climbers, cyclists and sun worshipers. The restaurants are open late luring you in with their fare. Some even have live nightly entertainment. The shop doors are open enticing you to buy everything from Cherry wine to carved cherry wood tables. Plan accordingly and you can catch an art, polka, or jazz festival. Fall brings a quietness to the town. It's a perfect time to take a color tour through the scenic hills, catch a game of golf, or walk through any number of groomed trails. Perhaps you'll spot a deer, porcupine, red fox, or eagle. Winter fun begins on the down-hill slopes and cross-country trails. When spring arrives, everyone celebrates by hunting Morrell mushrooms and spotting Trillium as they poke through the winter leaves. Come, be our guests.
* Please note that we are not a part of the Homestead Resort Program and therefore do not have access to the Resort pools and other amenities. To have access you must rent through the Homestead Resort.
Area Attractions: Throughout the year surrounding towns hold events and festivals. Check them out to enhance your stay. Discover all of the Leelanau Peninsula treasures with us. Be awed by the Sleeping Bear Dunes or Lake Michigan or marvel at the beauty of a wildflower growing along one of the many groomed hiking trails. Tucked throughout the peninsula are vineyards, wineries, golf courses, lakes and scenic lookouts. For the nostalgic is Leland, a turn-of-the century fish town still practicing its trade but expanded to welcome inquisitive visitors. Empire too boasts a maritime museum depicting the wrath and splendor of Lake Michigan travel. Why you can even find a home-made cheese shop and family drive-in theater. For the modern sophisticate is Traverse City, just east on M-72. North of TC is the casino at Peshawbeston. To the south is fine arts school at Interlochen which hosts local and international artists throughout the year. No matter where you go in the area, there is something to do and something to see. So come, be our guest and experience all that 'Up North' was meant to be.

Great location, hiking trails were great and Pyramid Point is a must see! Tourist location so getting reservations can be challenging, but there are several great places worth the wait.

The property was clean and neat. We liked that there were 2 sinks available in the bathroom in different areas.
The kitchen was adequately supplied for our needs.
The only restaurant open was outdoor seating at Whiskers. There was music playing from Whiskers until 10 pm which you could easily hear from the rental.
You have access to the beach at the Homestead, but can not park near the beach. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach on paved trails.
The host has left very detailed, helpful info about the condo and the area, however, it would be good if it was organized by topic.
It is a very convenient location to Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear, Leland, etc. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.

This beautiful little spot is the perfect place to enjoy all that the Homestead and the greater Glen Arbor area have to offer! Steps from the reception center pool and the “village” of shops/restaurant at the Homestead - everything is within reach. Lovely decor, clean and updated bath. A great getaway!!

The villa was very nice and clean, bed was very comfortable, we loved everything about the place except the resort it was in
Most of the restaurants and shops were rather closed or off limits to us
And their was no access to the beach unless you walked from the villa witch was a pretty long walk especially for me and my wife we are almost 60
We had to drive to a public beach witch wasn’t bad just wish we could have had easier access to the beach we were staying at
Other than that everything else was perfect
Glen Arbor is an awesome little town we really enjoyed going their for lunch and dinner and could drive right up to the beach!!!

This condo is ideal to explore the Leelanau Peninsula. It’s cozy and comfortable and within minutes of so many attractions.

We enjoyed being up north at this condo.
It worked perfectly for us for a great stress reliever weekend.

Thank you for all of the clear instructions!

Condo is in a great location, just steps to parking, clean, updated and the perfect size for 2 people. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking most meals. The wood burning fireplace with access to free wood was appreciated. After a long day of traveling we were ready to check in, relax and cook up dinner. It makes sense to keep the temperature down when not in use, but arriving to a 55* condo felt a bit unwelcoming. We sat around in our winter coats for almost 2 hours while it came up to temp. It would have been nice if the condo was “ready” for us or if this had at least been communicated to us prior to arrival.

The condo was very clean and organized! We had a wonderful stay and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. The only thing that was unclear was that the amenities for the condo listed a hot tub, but there was not one there.

Cute condo, with a private feel. Easy access, clean and well laid out. Love the decor, and fireplace. We came at peak fall, and was cozy and welcoming. Will be booking again in the future! :)

Small but cozy. Newly renovated. Awesome bed! Nice fireplace. Great for a single or couple. Great location. Close to Heritage Trail and Homestead stores and small restaurants. Good communication. Would return.

Comfortable and cozy. Had everything we needed. Host was very easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful time.

Surpassed my expectations. Great location close to Whiskers and village. Newly remodeled!

The unit is very clean and has everything you need! Just the right size for a couple. Close to Glen Arbor and to the stores in the Homestead.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and updated, compared to some others we have stayed in. The air conditioner was a huge bonus! This next part is not a reflection of the owner or the listing, just my opinion...the size is accurate in the listing, but personally, it was too small for our family. Since our kids are both under 10 I thought it would be fine, but it was a tight fit and the pull out bed is quite uncomfortable, even for kids. If it were just my husband and I, we would 100% rent again, but probably not when we have our kids with us.

We had a great time. Close to Sleeping Bear Dunes & other great trails.

We had a wonderful week here. My husband and I had our 11 year old who slept on the fold out sofa. The condo is a great location, a good layout, and updated. Only comments were that you don’t have access to the pool or golf at The Homestead. The beach is a 15 minute walk- there is no parking or bathrooms at the beach.

A lovely property for two. Comfortable, well-appointed, quiet(ish).

We had the best time in this updated and extremely clean condo in The Homestead. It is a great quiet location! Easy to contact the owners who were extremely nice! Thank you so much!!

Rented for a week. Was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and friendly and helpful. Could not have asked for a better location. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

I stayed at the unit with my 8 year old son, and it was perfect for the two of us. Tucked behind the Homestead reception center, it was a great home base for exploring the area. Had a nicely updated bathroom and living room. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely upgrades and convenient location.

Our girls getaway was wonderful in-spite of the weather. We appreciated the coziness of this condo. It’s perfect for 2 people but could accommodate another couple if desired. It had everything we needed and was a lovely condo nestled in the woods. The deer are everywhere 😍.

Condo was just as described. Perfect size for two people. Very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Beautiful area for sightseeing.

Excellent pre-check-in infomation. Clean, cozy, and well appointed condominum with easy access. It does have some steps to the front door but not many and it was very close to the parking area. The location
for exploration of the Leelanau peninsula was perfect.

The villa was perfect for our stay. It was beautiful inside and in a beautiful location. We had deer and turkey right outside of our window. It was just a short distance to everywhere that we wanted to go. We definitely would recommend this property and would stay there again.

Very well appointed and perfect amount of space for our family of 4.
Updated kitchen and bathroom.
Very clean (and believe me my wife would tell me if it wasn’t).
Would very happily stay again again.

The location was good, but it was adjacent to the outside bar. With the windows open you could hear loud talking and music. There was a moldy smell throughout and the furniture also had an odor. But none of that was so bad that it ruined our stay. The forest view from our condo was nice. We rented this unit because of the wood burning fireplace and it was supposed to have firewood in the shed but it was empty. This was disappointing.

Condo was super clean, well appointed and just perfect for the two of us. Also, the views of the woods and quiet location are some of the greatest things I love about staying in the Leelanau area.

Condo was very clean, updated and close to everywhere we wanted to be in Leland, Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear. Enjoyed the live music at Whiskers and convenience of Cavanaugh's on the property. Condo was a relaxing space on a rainy morning too.

Would stay again

We could not have been more happy with this property. Just a couple of stairs into a beautifully updated and clean condo. We will definitely put this on our list to book again! Thank you so much!

Best for a couple cute place
Best fir a couple or family with a baby or toddler with a pack and play. The bathroom is within the main bedroom so anyone needing it needs to go through the bedroom. Very cute and clean.
