We just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful property. It was a perfect base for us to return to each day after seeing family and the sights while also giving my family of 4 space to relax. The cottage is stocked with everything you could need, I think the kitchen may be better equipped than mine at home. We had a fabulous time and I’m already missing the thought of my morning coffee on the back porch smelling the hydrangeas in the cool air. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

This was the perfect place for a wedding weekend with some friends. Perfect location, close to the venue and also a short ride into downtown Newport! The property was beautiful and you could tel the home was freshly cleaned! Would love to come back and explore the area more.

Meticulous, spotless, welcoming, quiet, cozy, roomy, beautiful, restful....all this and more! Our stay for our 15th anniversary was memorable. Kate was the sweetest, most helpful host. A well-stocked, pretty kitchen, beautiful decor, restful atmosphere. A super-quick drive to Newport, but in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that's away from the hustle and bustle. We definitely hope to come back!

The accommodations were great! The cottage/apartment was very clean and had all the amenities one could need. The location was fantastic, I loved the quiet. You could see the water in the distance. One day returning to the property a large praying mantis greeted us at the front door.

This is a great house near Newport and with amazing access to everything Middletown has to offer. We had a great stay and enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort and property. The only downside was that the outdoor shower was connected to another house on the property and not to this property. We would, and plan to, stay again in the future.

We stayed at the cottage while we were in town celebrating our 20th anniversary and attending our daughter’s wedding in Newport. It was the perfect location, less than 15 minutes to Newport with beautiful scenery along the route (no highway travel needed between the two towns was a plus). The cottage was spotless, well decorated and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The grounds of the cottage were beautiful, sitting on the deck after a long day of running was totally relaxing. The beaches are a short drive away, getting up early to go to the beach to catch the sunrise was amazing. All in all a perfect choice for a get away. The hosts were super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

From start to finish, everything was easy! The hosts were delightful and responsive. The property was super clean and the decor was spot on! I loved being outside of downtown. We were considering staying at a place in the city center but worried about parking complications. So glad we chose the quiet space we did! Very close to apple farms and pumpkin farms. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this property again!

My younger daughter and I searched for the perfect place to stay to celebrate my older daughter’s birthday, This totally fit the bill and we were not disappointed at all. Great location, fabulous kitchen (we planned to do some family cooking) and Kate left us a bottle of wine and water and chocolates at our bedside. She was a fabulous host!

We loved staying at the cottage. It was so well appointed, comfortable, very clean and peaceful. The cottage is a couple of miles from downtown Newport but located in the beautiful countryside. It is very close to the beaches and downtown activities. Kate was a gem, and responded to all questions quickly and thoroughly. We highly recommend this place.

We and Kate have a wonderful cottage. Their hospitality and service were well above expectations. Their cottage was well equipped with anything we may have needed and they were a quick get away from anything else we inquired about. The property was beautifully taken care of and was a nice oasis to return to. We never wanted to leave but VT was calling us back. Would look forward to returning anytime!

Just back from a terrific stay at Kate and Ed's place in Middletown. Clean, modern and everything one could need including helpful and gracious hosts. The indoor and outdoor spaces are very comfortable and quiet and the location is a short 5-7 minute ride to the beaches and 10 minutes to Thames street downtown Newport. All in all hard to do better than this.

My family and I have just spent a very enjoyable week at this wonderful property and have nothing but good feedback combined with wonderful memories. The cottage is very well appointed, clean and private in an ideal location looking at the water and only a short ride to either the beaches or downtown Newport. We enjoyed hanging out at the cottage, in the gardens and walking around the local neighborhood which is very peaceful. Kate and Ed are the ideal hosts. They are very warm, welcoming, accommodating, responsive and insightful on everything that you need to enjoy your time at the cottage. We have a one year old and Kate was more than happy to help in providing a paddling pool for him to enjoy or a parasol to keep cool in the shade while on the beach. Ed even helped me carry out some repairs on my boat trailer which they happily accommodated on the driveway of the cottage. If you are looking for the perfect place to relax while being close enough to everything that Newport and the surrounding areas have to offer, look no further!

Wonderful cottage only 10 min from Newport. Beautifully decorated with modern kitchen. Nice deck off the back with privacy from the main house. Kate left so many thoughtful touches you don't usually see in a rental. Water & chocolate by each bed, a bottle of Prosecco in the frig and an Easter lily on the counter. Very cozy & comfy. We highly recommend this house and would absolutely rent it again.
