About this house rental

The location is divine! A great couple share property or friends gathering spot!! The yard is private, peaceful and fenced!! So perfect for kids! Quiet tucked away neighborhood where kids can ride bikes and pets can be walked to beach! This cottage is quintessential Newport with charm galore and a perfectly maintained 1910 standalone cottage within a quick walk to Easton's Beach and the world-famous Cliff Walk! Location! Location! Grab an early morning coffee and enjoy the majestic views from the Cliff Walk or the Esplanade before heading to the beach! Quick walk to second beach too and very close to all downtown Newport has to offer! Shopping, dining and the active bar scene and world famous dining! Lovely area! "At Last" has the charm of old New England with modern amenities and new furnishings! This house is delightful and charming with a private yard for grilling, entertaining, pets and kids. The yard is fenced in and has a sweet garden/privacy hedge surrounding it, making it perfect for those lazy summer days and nights. (there is also an outdoor shower, but not enclosed) Private and quiet location! Sip cocktails on the back deck which has seating for 8, while watching the kids play in the sweet, garden accented backyard. You will find both the king and queen bedrooms are on the second floor, with the bathroom located on the first. (please make note that the stairs are the steep ship stairs- aware with young children and older adults). The king-sized bedroom is large and sunlit and there is enough room to set up and air mattress if needed for kids or guests. You will find a smart TV also located in the king-sized bedroom. The queen size bedroom is charming and delightful with under the bed drawers and a large mirror. Both bedrooms have new mattresses (which we have received many compliments on) and furnishings. In the hallway between the two bedrooms there is a vanity makeup area and some extra space. You will find the cottage fully stocked with beach chairs, towels, gas grill, wine glasses, and two TV's with Fire stick remotes. (One TV in the large bedroom and the second is located in the living room). The sofa is a queen pull-out (please bring sheets if you plan to use) for an overnight guest or 2. We are dog friendly with a small fee.. Laundry and AC window units! Unbeatable location! Divine cottage! Parking for 3 cars, or more depending on their size. Come spend a week at "At Last"! Very close to the activities in downtown Newport too. Will consider monthly rentals during winter season, just ask for pricing! We have had many parents of St. George's and Salve book for sports season to come and enjoy their kids competing! Ask for winter pricing! Truly a lovely and quiet place that will not disappoint! PETS OK, laundry and private yard with lovely garden. Many repeat guests who rave about this place!! Come enjoy! Come watch your St George's kids in the sports season's as this place is a stone's throw away!!

Lisa was very responsive. House was great for two adult friends as we each had our own room with a big bed. Lovely garden area and nice deck for eating outside. Beautiful decor that felt coastal without being cliche. Was too far to walk to First Beach with our gear, but could be nice in cooler months. Really quiet neighborhood.

This home exceeded expectations. The yard was so perfectly private (and fenced even for our tiny Yorkie) in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. Proximity to Newport and Middletown beaches was just right. Wi-Fi and amenities were perfect. Fantastic time and can’t wait to go back!!

We booked Draper Ave. for the family while celebrating my daughter’s graduation from Salve Regina University…. We even brought the dogs. The property was as described in the listing. Lisa was quick to respond to any questions that came up and Charlie quickly replaced a broken patio umbrella so that we could enjoy family bbq’s on the deck. We read the reviews and agree those stairs are steep! We have little dogs so took extra precautions and packed a few doggie gates to use on the deck bc they could have easily gotten out. A little disappointed that there wasn’t any outdoor lighting in the back but overall we loved our stay and will book again when visiting my daughter in the future.

Great location. Two suggestions 1) Mattress in sofa bed should be replaced. It is very uncomfortable. 2) Stairs are dangerously steep and need needs either a center railing or a rope center guide down the middle (which could give the steps a quaint, nautical look.) All in all, it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay, the beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, living room and deck area had comfy furniture. Very clean. Lots of hot water, and clean towels. Location is in walking distance of restaurants. Nice quiet neighborhood. I could live here :)

This home was very cute with a wonderful little backyard, which is perfect if you bring a dog. The one bathroom downstairs was a bit of a challenge for us, as was the steep staircase, but we managed it fine. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable and not really practical to use. Suggest bringing a mattress topper if you intend to use it. Overall our stay was very nice. I would recommend it for no more than 4 people.

We had a wonderful stay. Cottage was very charming and comfortable. We loved the deck and private yard. It was so quaint with all the flowers. Our pup was also very happy here. The location is wonderful. Short drive to Second Beach, which we really appreciated and also nice evening walk to Clementine’s ice-cream.. multiple times. Thank you for the stay!

This smaller house worked very well for me and an adult daughter. The street and neighborhood are quiet and the deck is very private due to plantings. Plenty of offstreet parking. The location is an easy ten minutes from downtown Newport or the mansions. And also about ten minutes to beaches. The stairs are steep, something for anyone with mobility issues to consider but I’m 71 and did fine. I’m summary, it’s a good no frills home base for people who want to explore the Newport area

Lovely cottage in location convenient to all. Off season stay allowed our dog to enjoy the beaches& fenced in yard a big plus.. Might want to have more local information available to help orient first time visitors (like us). The stairs to second floor quite steep, but doable.

Property was EXACTLY as described (even the steepness of the steps - no joke!), clean, well equipped, fast responses to any questions asked, easy to Uber to/from Newport. Would suggest one or two more blankets for "just in case a cold wind blows through" times otherwise a great staying experience I would repeat.

We had a wonderful time, if you have dogs I would bring a long lead for the yard. Our 2 pups got out, one twice, and I was outside with them always. Once the gate was open and another time through somehow by the steps for the coral door. I found him leisurely walking down Draper. We set up the leashes after that and it was wonderful.

This was such a great place to stay for a short family getaway. It is so easy to get to downtown Newport (about an 8 minute drive) while being quaint and quiet as well. Our daughters loved the backyard and the quiet street to ride their bikes on. It was clean and cozy.

We had a lovely stay! The owner was prompt with her responses. Everything is how it looks in the pictures. I agree with others who commented the yard is not fenced in enough that dogs can’t get out. Mine got out 3 times, and he’s not one to try! We were there for a week and a half and the kitchen had everything we needed. Close to beach and restaurants. 10/10 would stay again!

Very nice property, everything was very clean. Loved that we could bring our dog! Other thing that was a minor inconvenience was that we have a small dog and he could have escaped through the wire fence in the backyard. We just had to keep him on a leash. Great experience overall 😁😁

We spent a lovely family Thanksgiving weekend at this adorable little place. The home is exceptionally clean and has everything you need for a comfortable get away. The kitchen is very easy to cook in. We cooked lobster, stuffies and made a soup with ease. The stairs are indeed steep and the bathroom is on the main level off the kitchen which is a bit odd, but we felt it added to the charm and fun of the house. It is a home built in the 30’s after all! The backyard is lovely and reminiscent of an English garden. The furnishings are beach/cottage chic. Linens and towels were fresh and clean. We couldn’t have asked for more. The owner was very responsive and pleasant to work with. She promptly answered all our questions. Our family had a great time here and we would recommend this property to all!

Wonderful home and as described in the listing. I found the house to be even lovelier in person and the decor/updates were great! Was a great place to stay to explore both Middletown and Newport. The beach was a 15-20 minute walk, but a quick drive to first and second beach. Owners were great and very accommodating. Would stay again!

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay at this charming house. It was in a quiet area of Middletown but was close to everything. The property manager Liz was so helpful when we had a minor issue with a remote control for the TV. She came over and fixed it immediately. The house had absolutely everything we needed and was comfortable. The bed was VERY comfortable and had quality linens. One note is there are VERY steep stairs going up to the 2 bedrooms which might be difficult on small children or older people. Also, wish there was a bathroom upstairs but we made do. I would 100 percent rent again.

Cute summer cottage, nicely decorated, had everything we needed. Loved the country lane we discovered to get down to Second Beach. A bit over a mile but beautiful and added a little more exercise to our day. Not having to deal with beach parking...priceless! The a/c units in the house were great when we needed them. So nice being only a short ride into town.
