Best value place I've stayed at this far, especially in Mexico where prices are skyrocketing. The location is in the centre, 3 minutes walk from the historic Mercado and 7 minutes from the main plaza. Coffee is made for free within the dinning area throughout the day and filtered water is also available free of charge. There is also a microwave and fridge and soap and shampoo along with towel are complimentary. The rooms were cleaned every day too. The staff were excellent and the all-round ambience, decor and fauna were delightfully designed. There are multiple common areas, one with a TV, chess and sofas, one outside courtyard and a dinning area. The Room contained a desk, lockers, clothes rail, and ensuite bathroom, where water is always available. There are a variety of room, however, a shared room is a very reasonable 150 pesos. Everything about this property is exceptional. Would 100% recommend to all.

I love this place , have come here repeatedly, and hope it will always be there for me. The blankets they gave me were so cozy, I slept like a baby. The shower has good spray (so many don't) and hot water. Water available to refill my bottle and helpful staff.
Could be so much more even with some comfortable couches and fun paintings on the walls.

The décor is beautiful and the staff are very nice and always keep the place clean. Coffee in the morning.
Nitpicking but there is a little noise from the traffic in the room facing the main street.

Gorgeous inside!! great common space with plants everywhere. Really strong wifi for the digital nomads too. Very quiet at night as well, which made for a great stay.

It's basic but it's cheap, so I'd say it's good value for money.
4.0
The location and the cleaning services.
The need for staff to access the fridge.

Centrally located, comfortable room, easy check in, friendly staff, fast wifi, great value. Nice common area that has an open roof for fresh air.
Noise from the common area can echo through the hostel, but not a big problem.

Nice building
Staff was really noisy early morning and late at night. There is basically no window between rooms and patio (plus some echo). Not so hard not to yell from one point of the patio to another before 7 am and after 11 pm IMO...

This is the best option in the Xalapa I think, but go for the rooms which are not around the reception because you can not open window properly, it is a bit musty and noisy…the ones for 350pesos are waaay better.

My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked the location of the hostal. I would say it's more like a hotel than a hostel. I was there midweek and it was very quiet, nobody around. I never saw any staff apart from when I checked in.

Great location. Good value for money. Nice dorm rooms with individual bathroom for each room. Daily cleaning of the room was great.
The noise coming from inside the hotel especially for rooms facing the courtyard which is the one of the rooms I had. Quiet time should be implemented as the noise ( e. g. people talking, footsteps of people taking the stairs, main door/gate opening) can be heard from the room. Management and staff should also be mindful of this noise problem because during my stay some of the noise came from staff and management talking or doing an activity , like showing a new guest a room late at night, that created the noise and can disrupt the rest of their guests.
4.0
a separate bathroom for each dorm
the noise from inside the property.

Nice community area, nice place, clean, nice atrium, easy door entering!
Walls are out of nothing and its nice community area so people woke me up in two nights in a raw, one time 3:30 and another time at 4:30. First night big group were screaming very loud for long time till I went out and told them they wake up everybody and if they wanna make party pls not in the hostel, staff didnt do anything. Next night other mexican person having a video call at 4:30 in the night first in atrium then continuing in the room and waking up everybody, was like 15mins at least, staff did nothing. Maybe havin nice community area is not the best if the stuff doesnt care thats what I learned! Yes its cheap but whats the point if u cannot sleep at night and have nothing from the day!

Situated close to the centre of town and a 20 minute walk to the ADO bus station, this lovely hostal is great value. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. I had a private room which was very comfortable and clean. I extended my stay.

Comfortable beds, maximum 2 people in a dorm, ensuite bathroom, free coffee, TV room, great location.
It was a bit noisy sometimes. It's more a hotel than a hostel, so not a good place to meet people.
