Great stay!
Such a nice place! Loved the location. Close to everything downtown and the Forest Lagoon. A wonderful place for four of us to stay and cook dinner in and relax.

Location could not have been better and the hosts were so responsive and helpful! Thanks
We loved the historical feel, and the central location to everything! (The adorable red stop lights were a bonus)

Good
Nice place. The house is well located in the old part of Akureyri, from there you can visit plenty of places (museum, botanic garden...)
However we can hear the upstair renters walk above, not great when you are trying to sleep. Toilet sear has to be replaced and the shower has a bad flow of the used water. Tv screen is really small. Photos on booking.com show the 3 different appartment pell mell, that doesn't help.

Absolutely great and we wish we had more time there.
We loved the sea views and balcony, the spaciousness of the “common room”, the well-appointed kitchen and kitchen appliances and the cool vibe.

Beautiful house in best of the best location. Highly recommended.
Best location closed to every nice things in town including most famous ice cream shop. The room is very beautiful, nicely decorated, convenience, clean and large. Extremely valued to money. Highly recommended.

Slight challenge getting the entry code to the door; otherwise a lovely stay.
The Loft was exactly as advertised--quirky, charming, and very comfortable as long as you don't mind the (VERY) slanted ceilings. Even though I hit my head once or twice, it was still part of the charm. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed except cream for the coffee, but the coffee itself was very good (and very appreciated!). I also appreciated that we could open the windows to get a nice breeze.
It would have been nice to have cream (powdered would have been fine) for the coffee. The shower hardware took some fiddling before any water came out at all, and the shower and showerhead all have a lot of mineral deposits built up. The sulphur smell from the hot water there was also the most intense of any place we stayed. Lastly, we did not receive the entry key code 2 days in advance like the Booking.com email said we would. When I contacted the host, they sent it, and also sent me what they *thought* was a copy of what I'd received, which contained the code. I checked again, and what *I* received did NOT contain the code. I forwarded it to them and explained exactly what was missing, and they replied again that it was there. Now that I'm home I'm going to send the hosts a screenshot because they need to understand their guests are not receiving the information from Booking that the hosts think they are.

stay in the historical house for a trip to remember
the spacious flat, the fact that it is an historical house and the location, relatively close to the city centre
while cooking the extractor hood could work better. the all house smelt like food.
