Had a great time in Suttons bay and will definitely be back!

This property was perfect for our our stay (two people). Very walkable to downtown Suttons Bay and a twenty minute drive to Traverse City downtown. There is also a grocery store just across the street (also walkable).
The size of the studio was just right for two people. It was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The only critique is that the bathroom needs a fan for humidity ventilation.
Pam the property manager called ahead of time to ensure I had instructions on how to find the location, which was really helpful.
Thanks for a great stay.

The place was exactly as described! A lot bigger than we were expecting too which was a nice bonus. Great communication from the host! Definitely plan to come back next year.

We enjoyed our stay at your VRBO very much! It was beautiful and wonderfully comfortable. Our stay was during a windy and chilly weekend in October, but the studio apartment was kept warm by the adjustable heater. The kitchen was very well stocked with cutlery, paper towels, garbage bags, coffee filters, etc. and we appreciated that. My husband was thrilled with the large TV to watch football games. We will certainly be back! Thank you for having us!

It was a good time.

We really enjoyed this property, however if you are a light sleepper it may not be for you. The apartment is road facing and you can definitely hear the traffic. The Apartment was in a great location and was an easy walk into town.

Great little apartment. Beautiful area.

Cute place for two. Easy walk to town. As it faces M22, there was quite a bit of road noise during the evening. Things do settle down at night so sleeping was no problem.

We travel up north often. This was definitely the best pet friendly place that we’ve stayed. The property was beautiful, cozy, and very clean and the location was wonderful— a short walk to town and other places and a beach and park where my dog enjoyed herself. The property manager and maintenance person were responsive, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I hope to stay there again!

Small quaint cabin. Disappointed with the kitchenware it was dirty. The road was busy during the day but did not wake us up at night. There were no screens on any of the windows and not all windows opened up . Overall the place was nice for a small getaway weekend. We loved how close we were to downtown as well.

Location was awesome! Long review ahead!
I've never been to Northern Michigan so this whole trip was just a journey of unknowns. Suttons Bay was the perfect location for us and this apt had such easy access to shopping, dining, biking and the lake/beach it outweighed any negative aspects.
Pros: Easy access to everything. Five minute walk to downtown Suttons Bay where you have access to a wide option of restaurants. Tip - make reservations in advance, especially for "Wren" (the best dining experience we had on our trip).
Go to Grandma Lin's ice cream! We waited until our last night - thank God or we would have gained 10 lbs! The prices are incredibly low for the serving size - we had a M and S specialty sundae and it was only $5.
If you are a coffee person "Mundos" cafe is a legit gourmet coffee shop. I went every day for an espresso and sampled a few pastries.
We aren't really "shoppers" but there were a lot of interesting boutique stores on main street.
We started joking with some of our neighbors that everything is just "across the street". And yes, everything from a top notch microbrewery (Hop Lot Brewing), grocery store, cafe, car wash and laundry mat are there.
We brought our bikes and found the Leelanau Trail Head (yes, across the street) where you can bike to Traverse City. This 16+ mile trail is gorgeous, paved, mostly flat with only a few road crossings. Guess what else...they have a bus that will transfer you AND YOUR BIKE to and from Traverse City for $3 a person. It was hard to find the pickup point in Traverse City but worth the trouble and $3 to be lazy and have someone drive me back after a 16 mile ride.
The lake was crystal clear, very calm and right in our back yard. We carried our Kayak/SUP to the dock and went for a ride almost every day. We also stored our bikes and boards in the garage - it took 5 minutes to get on the lake.
There was a small public sand beach and playground next door to the property. Bring water shoes as there are rocks in the water.
The fire pit had a complete rack of wood next to it and we used it by ourselves and one night with a neighbor who we got to know and was a lot of fun.
The room was very clean and had enough space for the two of us. We also used the small outdoor grill and cooked a few meals in the kitchen. The room is above the garage and faces the road.
Cons: The road is very loud. Traffic on the main street goes right by the building and you can hear every car and truck go by. We cranked up the fan on the AC unit and it did help. We got used to it after the first day.
No dishwasher and there weren't any microwave safe plates/dishes.
The property as a whole could use a "make over" but we didn't mind. It actually exceeded my expectations.
The bathroom fan was very loud, again...small complaint and not sure it can even be fixed.
Overall, really great for us and we plan to return.

Private space next to M-22. Great for a couple. Very close to downtown Sutton's Bay and direct;y across the road from banking, grocery shopping, laundromat and dining.
Traffic noise was very bad though. I thought that one of the windows was open it was so loud. Buildings and property need a little better upkeep but are adequate.

Perfect for two and a small pup
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here for a week in August. There are a few things that could be improved upon and we had the chance to meet Pam, the property manager and will communicate those suggestions to her. Overall we liked it. My suggestions to Pam will be that the windows need to have screens on them. Even though you might not be able to sleep with windows open due to traffic noise it would have been nice to have fresh air in the unit. It was fun having a fire pit in the evenings and there was plenty of work supplied. Very close to walk into town for the evening or breakfast. Great little community.

Not ready for prime time.
Parking was difficult. Muddy path to entrance. Poor lighting. Bathroom fan that was much too loud. WIFI was almost non-existant. TV did not workl. Door to unit did not lock from outside. No blankets. Shower very small. Unfinished closet doors. Overall, worse place we have stayed in Leelenau County, ever.

beautiful home
We had a family gathering at this home and every single member of the family loved it. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Pam and thank you Kate for making things very easy for us. God bless

Family Wine Weekend
We could not have had a better time with our very large family at this amazing house. There are so many bedrooms providing privacy for all of the couples. The best part was having the Bay so close. We had a 70 degree day in November. We sat outside in T-shirts having a beer by the water. We had a bonfire on the beach and some brave souls went into the Bay water and warmed up in the hot tub. I awoke to a beautiful sunrise. Sutton's Bay is just a few steps away where we were able to shop and catch a meal. The VI Grill was excellent.
There are many fine wineries, breweries and distilleries to choose from. I highly recommend this home and hope to return soon.

Wonderful, comfortable home in a beautiful location.
Our family had a great vacation at this clean, spacious and nicely decorated home. You step off the deck onto a lovely private beach with a beautiful view and crystal clear water. It is about a five-minute walk to downtown Suttons Bay - with sidewalks the entire way. The manager Carol was excellent and had three ramps built and set up in the house to meet the "wheelchair accessible" description on the vrbo website and help accommodate my brother who is in a wheelchair. She also included nice amenities like champagne, chocolates and appetizers. Overall, we loved it. My family had a fun, relaxing get-away and would recommend this home - it's a good fit for seniors, those in wheelchairs, adults, teens and children.
