Summary:
Kristin and Pete welcome you to stay at The Little Blue Penguin. We offer guests comfortable and clean accommodation, stylishly decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. With every guest booking a donation will be made to support the New Zealand little blue penguin. This newly renovated, fully self-contained two bedroom private suite oozes comfort and style.

The Space:
Located on the lower level of a family home, the suite is completely separate from the main house. Enjoy privacy and security with your own private access and courtyard with BBQ. The suite has two bedrooms and for those extra guests there is a sofa bed. The open plan living area opens up right onto the courtyard and the full kitchen has all the amenities, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
There is good wifi and chromecast for watching Netflix etc.
Just a sort stroll to the beach and with the location central to all that Mount Maunganui has to offer we are sure you stay will be memorable!

The location is very central as follows :
Approximately:

- 500 metres to Mount Maunganui Golf club
- 500 metres to beach
- 2 kms to Bayfair shopping Centre
- 5 kms to Downtown Mt Maunganui
- 5 Kms to Mauao
- 2 Kms to Airport

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole suite

The Neighborhood:
You are a short walk away from the beautiful Mt Maunganui beach as well as a wonderful cafe named George. Also very close by is the Mount Maunganui golf course

The owners reside upstairs and are available if required.

This is a nice but small apartment located in a basement. Everything you need is there, but you do get a bit of noise from the dwelling upstairs (footsteps, washing machine, etc). Good value for money, close to beach, would recommend!

Our stay at the Little Blue Penguin suite was fantastic! My mom and I found both beds to be very comfortable and the unit to be tranquil. The location was effortless to find, and the directions for check-in were straightforward to follow. This unit is best suited for adults or couples. You can access it from "town" using the rentable scooters, but the parking spot made it easy to have/use our rental car. I had to use Google to figure out the stove, but that was likely because I'm Canadian and unfamiliar with that type of stove. Being able to do laundry was vital as I had already been on the road for three weeks before we arrived. There is a secluded spot to hang your clothing to dry, doubling as an outdoor dining area. We had a few questions for the owners, and the response time was rapid and helpful. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else. This was the perfect spot for my mother (73) and myself (49).

Place was nice and clean, very conveniently located close to most things. Only issue is it's very noisy as owners stay right above and you can here them most of the time walking about.

The property was very clean and lovely and was in a good location but I felt the photo's in the advert were misleading in that I did not expect that it was under the owners house and the outside area did not live up to expectations

My husband and I stayed for a week. We were both pleased with the experience. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Home was cozy and tidy. Especially during the cold snap that came through when we arrived. Home had been warmed before arrival. Very appreciative. Location was perfect. Close to everything especially the beautiful beach. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend

Great location, private, minutes from the beach, owners were friendly and communication was clear. Very clean and modern property with a nice kitchen that had everything you need to cook with. Photos were accurate and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great little place which was super clean and modern - everything was decorated with great taste and anything we needed was provided. Good location for us and very relaxing and private. This property was very clean and close to a beach. While it was perfect for us we did wonder if older people might find it hard to carry bags from the car down to the unit. Lots of extras such as a first aid kit made this property very well equipped. A most enjoyable stay

Great, they've thought of everything from salt & pepper to Tupperware containers and gladwrap! Great communication and lovely people. Like the fact that we can close the gate and have the car off the road. Comfy beds. Great pressure in the shower.

Enjoyed our stay at this cute wee place. Was probably a bit too small for three adults and a baby (my fault, didn't read the listing properly). Over all the place is fantastically decorated, modern and the host was really helpful and friendly
