Sehr schönes Herrenhaus, ruhig gelegen mit tollem Hofgarten. Das Zimmer war luxuriös ausgestattet und das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Volle Empfehlung

Cutting the surrounding property grass with a weedeater rather than a small tractor lawnmower was disturbing on arrival and during the weekend. Hoping its due to a broken down tractor :)

Excellent location stay and large well furnished room. Great staff, Look forward to returning.
It was all good.

No water pressure during loadshedding.

It’s location
There was no electricity or water in the morning. I appreciate that sometimes things go wrong, but no plans were made to alleviate the problem and no compensation was offered. It was 30 degrees C outside, so very unpleasant.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the most friendly gentleman with the biggest smile. The ladies in the breakfast room were very friendly too. Beautiful comfortable room with a lovely private garden and patio. Very attentive staff and beautiful grounds. We also had a delicious hot breakfast the morning we left.
Our aircon packed up during the night and it was extremely hot

Great breakfast. Maga was the nicest, most helpful guy!
Bath and shower could have done with a good scrub.
Might have been due to the recent floods and damage but there was almost no water pressure for a shower.

Loved the location with the view of the mountains. It was secluded & peaceful. The room was decently sized for 2 people. The architecture & decor fit well with the landscape & region. The breakfast was superb.
- air con was not functional in the room initially allocated to us
- rooms were extremely cold even with the aircon. Would be good to invest in electric blankets or hot water bottles for guests. In addition to have extra blankets available in the room
- the bathroom in the second room allocated was not cleaned properly & drain in the shower was blocked. This was addressed fairly quickly once reported

Nice room and bathroom.
Good location
The staff was very kind and helpful
No hot water in one of the 3 rooms we booked. The previous night we experienced the same problem with another room. I would suggest that you inspect your hot water before the arrival of the guests.

Nice location and spacious rooms and bathrooms.
One of the rooms we booked had no hot water running. It is something that should be checked specially when in winter you expect a good hot shower.

Breakfast was good, location was perfect for what we needed, ambiance was great
Poor contingency for load shedding - just a small rechargeable torch. It was very cold and would have been nice to have an electric blanket to warm the bed

I love the location! I felt safe. The garden with the outdoor couch was my favourite spot!

I was under the impression it was included in the price. After we ate breakfast we were asked to pay cash; no receipt provided: spoiled the whole trip
No owner present
No provision for load shedding
Only after breakfast we were asked to pay cash for it; Bad taste
Bedding was heavy and uncomfortable
The room was cold

It was comfortable and quiet, great for a getaway. Very well located.

The bed was big and mattress comfortable. We liked that they had plush King size pillows on the bed. The freestanding bathtub was nice. A polite Malawian guy greeted us upon arrival and offered to help with our luggage. The entrance hall in the main building is quite beautiful. Enough parking outside and can accommodate large vehicles.
There are a handful of employees who are working hard and doing their best to run the place, but it was clear from the beginning that they are left to their own devices with management uninterested in the property or guests. The main property manager whose name and contact details are in the room folder clearly wants nothing to do with guests and refuse to communicate. We arrived to a nicely made up bed but it was all badly stained, from the pillow covers, sheets and duvet cover were terribly stained. The Malawian guy did come to replace it quickly with slightly less stained bedding. Amenities cheap and nasty - bulk purchased hand soap, the neon type used in public bathrooms, have been watered down and used as refill in the shampoo and all other bottles in the room. There is a small kitchenette but it was very poorly equipped, luckily we did not want to eat in the room but for anyone who would like to use their kitchenette, it would have been very poor to use. Unfortunately this places lacks proper management with the owner and person he left in charge not interested, as a result attention to detail is missing and the place has the ambience of a graveyard. Note that if you arrive after 3:30pm in the afternoon, there will be no one to greet you. We were there when other guests arrived at 3:30pm and they were very confused as they had no idea which rooms to go to. The place looks much nicer in the photos than in reality and it is not somewhere we will return to in Franschhoek.

Beautiful room situated amongst incredible grounds a short taxi from the centre of Franschhoek. Staff were so welcoming and the outside terrace was blissful.
There were a few cobwebs in the room and the plugs didn’t fit any of our adapters that we bought with us

extremely calm and clean, very comfortable beds, soft towels, located on a quiet property only 7min by car to the Main Street, very nice and welcoming staff

The house is absolutely beautiful, with a perfect location.
We were very disappointed with the breakfast. Very small portions - food was cold when the toast arrived, the toast took forever!

The setting on a large open property with mountain views is beautiful. The rooms are upmarket and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is a dream! And the staff are so friendly, nothing is a problem.
There was no back up to the wifi during load shedding. A simple, inexpensive UPS could solve this.

Beautiful accommodation and setting just outside Franschoek main area
The lack of staff and contact. The 2 staff are only on site until 5pm and then in morning from 7:30am. Each time I wanted to ask something I had to go find them in the kitchen and talk into the kitchen. One staff member see:ed to have limited language when spoken to in English and called the other assistant each time. The owner off the property said she is on site and can be reached by Wattsapp yet with no staff te be found after 5pm I sent a Wattsapp to owner which was read at 7pm and never answered. This resulted in me not having any adaptors in the room to be able to charge European phones and no adaptor to plug the hairdryer which is in the room but no use without an adaptor. I did manage to get an adaptor in the morning by asking the ladies in the kitchen for one.
For breakfast there was not much food layer out on buffet and with only one other table present there was already empty fruit bowl and only 2 individual portions of flavor yoghurt so we had to ask for fruit and for more yoghurt, for jam, for butter etc. With staff lacking it would be better to have an adequate breakfast spread that guests could help themselves and not have to keep going to the kitchen to find someone to bring food items.

The property is beautiful. Loved the quiet
Needed tissues in the room and more things for kitchen area.
