This property was having some issues and was not quite ready so we only got to stay a night. The property manager was great and communicated really well. This property itself was beautiful but inside needs some work. It has great potential and after some updates and repairs will be a great option for families!

Beautiful property, the pool was very nice and clean, we realy enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous outside, so-so inside but worth a stay
The setting and outdoor amenities - tennis court, pool, hot tub, fire pit, deck - were terrific. The kids - all ages - had a great time, and the adults also did, just hanging out on the deck, chatting and enjoying the surrounding view. The insides of the houses were a bit worn out and outdated and had a few problems, such as a non-functional coffee maker, an upstairs toilet that had to be fiddled with repeatedly, and a front door that did not lock properly . Anything we brought to the host's attention, however, like a stove that it turned out was unplugged, was taken care of. We would definitely go back!

Our group of 3 families enjoyed our time at this home. The location to Smuggs is unbeatable and the property is very private. The size of the house was great for each family to have their own separate area, which was important for us. Now the negatives. The home is very dated which gives it a somewhat eerie feeling. One car could not make it up the long driveway as it wasn’t cleared well enough of snow. We found that we ran out of supplies like trash bags and toilet paper. We found trash and items from past renters in places around the house which made us feel as though it was not properly cleaned. All in all we really did enjoy our time on this trip but we would likely not stay here again.

This was our second time staying at the property. We love it because of its proximity to Smugs and that it has enough space for three families to stay. Nick was very responsive and accommodating.

My friends and I decided to take a trip to Vermont for fall colors. I must say that the property is huge and was comfortable for our entire group of 13 plus 3 infants. The location is great and we were about 20 mins from the most spots. There is a brewery right outside the cabin which was really nice.
The only downside was that the kitchen could use a little upgrade. The stove was really beat and so was the toaster oven. There weren't enough pots and pans and the ones that were there, were really dated. Oh and the TV were not smart TV's so we couldn't cast anything or watch Netflix etc.
The hot-tub and deck were really nice and I would certainly come back again to this place. We enjoyed the bonfire and the owner was really nice and had provided firewood for not additional cost.

We had high hopes about our summer getaway at this property. Leading up to our stay, communication with the property manager wasn't great. I saw reviews from other guests which had me worried about our stay. I reached out and it took days to get a response. My family and I are aligned with what other recent guests had stated. The house was dirtier and a lot more rundown than we expected. Before our stay, we were assured that we will have a hot tub during our stay. We were there during a cold week this summer (60-70 degrees). There was no hot tub when we arrived. Nick said that we would get it the following day, then later that week, well it never showed up. I asked for a partial refund due to not getting a big deal amenity that was advertised, but it has been 1.5 months with no response. What's good about the property? The outdoor areas are gorgeous, open, and private. The pool was clean and spectacular. The pool deck did have trash that we needed to clean up upon arrival. The pool was very cold and unheated. Now to the houses, our dishwasher did not work. There was a pool of stinky sitting water in the bottom of the dishwasher upon our arrival. Wet towels were left washing machine, but the dryer in the house didn't work. The lights in both upstairs bathrooms did not work. In one bathroom we had to use the heat lamp because that was the only source of light. In the master bathroom, only the small light by the shower worked. I was appalled to find bloodstains on our towels. The kitchen sink was consistently clogged, from simply washing dishes (remember the dishwasher didn't work). The garbage disposal also didn't work. There were cobwebs in most corners and a layer of dust in most areas of the house. The gas grill was disgusting, it had not been cleaned for years. It was also overly rusted with holes and unsafe to cook and unsanitary to eat cooked on. Then there was the trash situation, upon our arrival we discovered a large black bear had knocked over the dumpsters and was having a feast. After it left, we attempted to clean up the mess. We discovered that prior guests had left trash in the recycle and there was trash all over the ground in that area. The large black bears returned daily and made my family (including a young child and senior citizens) feel unsafe. I feel like we were repeatedly disappointed with our stay at this Cambridge property. We were really hoping for what we saw in the photos and feel that we were let down.

We were so excited about the stay. We knew the pool wasn't opened yet but we're excited about the hot tub. We found out the hot tub was broken the day before. Nick apologized and offered a free night, which because of work and short notice, we couldn't take him up on it. He then offered us a slight change in price due to the change in amenities, but haven't seen anything from him yet. We got there and everything was dirty. Glass marks, crumbs, dried contacts, my mom even found gross dirty socks In the sheets! Yikes! Bummer because it was a cool house a beautiful spot, but everything seemed to be unfunctional and dirty. They also had a tennis court but no tennis balls or rackets. Maybe put that in the description so people know to bring them. I have reached out to Nick and I haven't heard anything about it and its been a week. I wish I didn't have to put this review, but we were disappointed and haven't heard from him yet.

Great multipurpose house with beautiful scenery and lots to do near by. The owner was easy to communicate with and my group had a blast. Would certainly recommend.

Great Layout, Beautiful View
During a very interesting year, our annual Memorial Day trip needed to be postponed, due to COVID-19. Nick was very proactive in communicating, and very flexible when allowing us to choose new dates.
We ended up only needing to use the side by side units, even with our large group! (17 adults and 5 children). The layout was perfect, and between both units we had everything we needed to cook, entertain and sleep comfortably.
The pool was very clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed it when we didn’t have the rain that was sporadic, when we did have rain, we had plenty of space for board and card games...with all of us gathering in one unit.
Nick was very quick to respond with any minor needs we may have had.
We’d definitely love to visit this property again. Highly recommend.

My friends and I had a great weekend at this property. I was part of a group of 25 and there was ample space for everybody to stay comfortably. The house layout was amazing and the view of the mountain from the porch was unbeatable. Nick was an excellent host.

The stay was excellent, beautiful property and owner (Nick) was extremely helpful. There were minor adjustments which we had to make, but overall the stay was great. Would like to go again in future.

Perfect For Large Groups Near Stowe
We had 37 people stay on the property (between the 3 houses) for a weekend - the place is perfectly set up for these large groups. 2 of the houses are connected by the outdoor space, so great for gathering / hanging out / eating (inside or out in nicer weather). Between those two houses you have significant sleeping upstairs (with private rooms) and downstairs (with shared bunk rooms / pull out couches) + very comfortable couches in common rooms if you need to add a few more. You also have the benefit of great lawn space for activities, hot tub on the shared outdoor space, private tennis court a short walk away, and a swimming pool in the summer (we didn't use given it was October). The 3rd house is a short 2-3 minute walk away and sleeps another ~10 in a mix of beds (this house is mostly meant for sleeping if you're combining it with the other two).
The owner was great - we had some unfortunate issues initially, but he was extremely reasonable, helpful, and responsive in helping make sure we had an enjoyable weekend and everything we needed. He clearly cared that we had a good time during our stay, and helped us not only with the property, but with recommendations around the area. He's extremely flexible in how the houses are being used - we had a bit of a party, which he was fine with as long as we cleaned up after ourselves. We were also able to make use of the fire pit which is steps away from the joined houses.
Location is ~20 minute drive to the town of Stowe, which being there in the fall, we did some hikes, played golf, went to some breweries, and bars in the area. Fall is crowded as the "leaf peepers" make their way up to see the amazing foliage.
Overall, property was perfect for our needs as a large group wanting a space to all hang out together and extremely friendly owner helped even more.
