The location very quiet and peaceful backyard had plenty of shade and sun as well very nice

Second time staying here- great location close to town, on a quiet bay. tons of room for everyone to spread out. I had hoped more TLC would've gone into the home since we were last there. They did put in a new dishwasher and microwave, and the screens are new which was great. The dock is downright unsafe- very rickety/shaky with deck screws poking up from the wood everywhere and rotten wood- definitely need to wear shoes on the dock! The ladder from the water to the dock is bordering on falling off. The property has so much potential given its size and location but at that price, there are other properties on the lake that are in much better condition and don't have the safety issues.

The property was beautiful inside and out, and on the waters. Everyone enjoyed the stay very much, enough room for all of us. The kitchen was awesome with lots of pots and pan to cook. The only thing was, the deck and the patio furniture could have been cleaner.

We enjoyed the house location to the water. The interior was clean. The outside deck and furniture were not clean.

We enjoyed our stay the home was nice and well furnished. The things that could be better is the pots and pans. They’re were terrible and half the lights didn’t work. Lots of switches that didn’t do anything. Could use an electrician to go through tue house and make sure all the lights worked. It’s a dark house so that’d help.

The location is good. However, for the cost of this home it was surprisingly in poor condition and extremely dirty and dusty. Layers of dust and burned out light bulbs. Leaky bathrooms and sewer odor. The furnishings are severly used,,,,broken toaster, scratched barely useable pots & pans, numberous burned out light bulbs, and stained very old pillows and bedding. The grounds are neglected with weeds and garbage in planters. The lawn and firepit were nice. The BBQ grill appears to be on its last leg as well as the ripped screen door that didn't keep bugs out.
It is a bit shocking to spend over $3700 for six nights and pay high cleaning fees for a place where the windows are so dirty that it obscured the view of the lake and so dusty that it affected the health of several family members. Some TLC is needed for this vacation rental. We have rented several places through Vacassa and this is the first time we were quite disappointed.

Nice place, beautiful sunrises off the lake. Hot tub was great to have. Wish we had hot water in the home for our showers though. When we mentioned no hot water I received a text that said you can leave and we won’t charge for the unused nights. How about another offer like “we’ve refunded a portion due to no hot water in the home”
Besides that it would have been perfect.

This house had some very definite pros and cons. The location and view were great! The overall layout of the home was also good and we loved the view through the windows.
As for the not so good.... the hot tub needs to be cleaned. There's a yellow stain at the water line, and a weird smell when you lift the top of it. The outdoor lights also don't work, and we checked every switch in the house. After calling 3 times to report it (and slipping down a couple of stairs one night because I couldn't see anything), we were told that someone would be out to change the bulbs - which never happened. It's a definite safety issue. Finally, there's an issue with the bar top on the kitchen counter. There wasn't anything holding it up, so if you put too much weight on it, it slips.
Did we have a good time? Yes. But between the safety concerns, and not being able to use one of the amenities, we would probably look for another property in the area for our next visit.

Based on the cost of this rental per night, I had great expectations.
Overall, if you plan to stay here, lower your expectations.
The inside of the home was clean and had plenty of space so our family did not feel crowded. The hot tub was clean (had an odor to it but unsure if that is their chosen chlorination but was not visibly dirty) and maintained the perfect temperature and during the day had a fantastic view of the lake. The location of the home was secluded but close enough of a drive into the heart of town to enjoy the best of both worlds.
We had quite a few minor/major issues during our stay that made it overall disappointing. The major issue was that the outdoor lights did not work. Upon contacting Vacasa, they informed us that the outdoor lights had not been working for a few weeks and the contractor was busy, so they would not be fixed during our stay. With the sun setting by 630pm, this limited our time to use the hot tub without flashlights or we sat there in complete darkness. Just unacceptable that this was not communicated to us. Another negative was the fact that their DISH satellite was not in working order, providing an error code and making the tv worthless. For a rainy day indoors, it would have been nice to be able to watch the baseball games. Internet is spotty as other reviewers have mentioned, which wasn't a big deal for us but inconvenient with the tv being down as well.
Maintenance of the property overall was significantly lacking. A counter in the kitchen is held up by two mugs and falling off the wall. Lightbulbs were either burnt out or continued with the "lighting having issues" problem. The instructions are now framed in the kitchen but very basic and it would be nice to have a manual with some tips/tricks for their property. For example, the heat did not keep up in the common living space but after searching the home, we found a space heater that made it more comfortable - would have been nice to know where they were located. We chose not to build a fire with the indoor fireplace as soot has accumulated above the mantle and based on the upkeep of the home in general, we did not trust the fireplace to have been properly maintained.
Overall, the property is an amazing build with charm - but for a rental property, it is showing signs of neglect. Months ago, reviews mentioned the microwave display not working - it still does not work. The toaster handle is broken, requiring you to unplug it and dig your toast out with a utensil. The cookware is greatly worn by the gas range. The shower head that is attached to the bathtub leaks making it unusable. One of the bedside tables is in pieces with nails missing and greatly unstable. The dishwasher is not stabilized (that's putting it nicely).
To conclude, pictures will show you that this property looks nice and has charm/unique features, but is significantly lacking. With an ounce of updating, actual CARE and proper maintenance, this property would be 5 stars.

Lake views are fantastic, especially sitting in the hot tub. We will definitely stay again, thanks.

Our family had a fantastic week at this home. The cabin was the perfect size for six adults and two children. The kids loved their room - the bunk beds were a big hit! The bedrooms and the living spaces were huge so we never felt on top of each other.
The private dock and the backyard were terrific. We had a jetski rental and a boat rental for the week so direct access to the lake was convenient.
The one drawback of this home: the WiFi was bad. I know we were warned about the internet speed beforehand, but I could barely get my emails to load let alone log onto video meetings. This forced me and another member of my party to drive into town for a few hours during the week to complete some work we had to attend to. (Evans Brothers Coffee was a great hangout for this!)
I strongly recommend to the owners that they upgrade their internet package or look into some sort of signal booster to improve connectivity.

Nice log cabin, clean beds/bathrooms, great view, but so many things in disrepair for the price point, it was a disappointment. Most of the kitchen utisels were broken or rusted (like the inside of the tea kettles). Landscaping was neglected, overrun with weeds. Pier seemed safe but had screws popping up in the center and the wood was uneven and rough (no bare feet or you'll regret it). Jacuzzi top had a broken cover hatch and the filter area was black in areas and rusted. Light bulbs burnt out, microwave screen didn't work (you had to guess the time it was cooking), most of the screen door to the back yard was ripped out in the bottom and wouldn't stay on the track. Lots of maintenance and repair issues that detracted from the experience.

Perfect Western Rustic Cabin Feel
Fantastic rustic log cabin. Beautiful surrounds with lake view and hot tub front and center. Very comfortable beds. Wifi was very poor, so put phones down and get off netflix (who needs them in this spot!)

Very serviceable.
This was a great place for our group of 8 to stay while on a ski trip to Schweitzer Mountain. The property overall seemed like it has been a little neglected on the maintenance end of things. Some lights didn't work, heating needed to be supplimented with space heaters, etc. However, everything worked that we needed, and the hot tub was toasty warm all week. We did all of our own cooking, and the kitchen was well supplied for that, including lots of spices. The dishwasher did NOT get dishes clean, we gave up trying to use it and just washed everything by hand. We found lots of dirty dishes in the cupboards that may have been put there by past guests, but over all, the rest of the house was very clean. There was plenty of lounging furniture for all of us, and the wood fireplace had a gas assist, which was so nice for getting a fire started quickly. Really my only complaint was communication with the property manager, which was nonexistent. The only option was email to which they did not respond to for over a week after it was too late, and then didn't know the answer to my questions on how the kitchen was stocked . But I would book again.

Beautiful lake log home with a great view
The overall experience is excellent and our family enjoyed 6 nights there!! House is gorgeous and kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipments etc. The view of f the snow mountain is incredible. I do wish the owner fixed some maintenance issues:
The dishwasher is not attached to the counter and back wheels are missing. It is very hard to load the dishes. One other maintenance issue is the bathroom floor by the shower in the first floor. The floor is severely damaged over a period of time, the subflooring should be replaced!!!
But overall , it is an amazing house!!!
Thank you

Great Family Summer Lake House
Great house. Really big rooms with lots of extra beds and space for kids. Grassy area is great for games and kids running around, the beach is very small, and dock not ideal to swim off of because it sits so high out of the water. But the boat lift was great. We will stay again.

This cabin is located in a perfect spot. The lake is right outside and access is extremely easy! We were able to bring out boat and use the boat lift. The log cabin is beautiful. Plenty of room and the living area was wonderful for our whole family to gather in.
There is some deferred maintenance that would be nice to be improved upon (porch cleaning, overall cleanliness, and upkeep). Also, one thing we did not take into consideration or realize was that there is no AC. The fans were helpful, but because of the terrible smokey air, we couldn’t open up windows as much as we needed and had to leave early. Smoke is obviously not the fault of the cabin, but AC would have saved us. Just something to be aware of in the middle of summer!

Why try?
Our group had some running jokes about the property. One was the lack of bath soap. Then, toilet paper ran out.
Considering how much this rental costs, you would expect some basics like a book to explain how everything works (TV, boat lift, lights that don't turn on, missing light bulbs, etc.).
Instead, it was a single page tacked to the wall telling us what not to do!!! Plus some sticky notes on a couple of pieces of furniture warning not to sit on the arms.
The decorations were another source of humor, a mish mash of cowboy references (in Idaho?), personal items and collectibles (Bonanza TV show, a dime store Indian!, stuffed animals). There was a lot of mold in the shower downstairs, as if someone isn't even trying to clean the place.
Overall, a great property if the details were taken care of. But they aren't.

Everything was just perfect! It felt like we were stepping into our own little family summer bunker leaving the rest of the world behind. The home was clean, but cozy and welcoming. Everything we needed was right there, including kitchen items, beach towels, fans for the bedrooms, etc. Plenty of room for all of us ages 7 - 75 and never a dull moment between playing on the lake, hiking on Schweitzer, and milling around the little stores in Sandpoint.

Comfortable beds, great water pressure. House was much darker than pictures and grass was dry and brittle. The neighbors were less than welcoming and their dog kept coming over to pee and poo on the lawn.

Great place to stay and enjoy the view of the lake. The property is great. I will definitely be back. Needs a new dishwasher is my only negative.

Great but not great!
The house was fine. It was priced a little high. Cleanliness was okay overall but there were areas in the kitchen that should have been cleaner. The sheets left us wondering if they were clean or not. The code to the lockbox was wrong and we had to wait to get a new code and get in. The listing says Cable TV & Wi-Fi but when you arrive you find a note saying,” don’t expect to stream Netflix or play video games because you will run out of data”. Had I known that I would not have rented. The internet was as fast as dialup and extremely difficult to use because it was so slow. The hot tub water was murky and very difficult to get in/out of without bringing dirt and leaves into it. Bring flipflops to wear out to the hot tub. If you want to use the fireplace you have to buy or bring your own wood as that is not supplied. The woodwork is incredible, and the house has good vibes. It is a great location and incredible spot on the lake!

Great stay in Sandpoint
Very fun stay in Sandpoint. House is big and was perfect for 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Plenty of room. Hot tub is so nice with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. We went skiing at Schweitzer and drive was easy. Very easy access to downtown Sandpoint as well. Extra space heaters were great to warm up bedrooms during the freezing cold February weather. We had one issue which was due to freezing weather and the management was fantastic in helping us and responding. Overall very fun stay in a cozy cabin.

Needs maintenance and cleaning
The house was in a good location but it needed a serious deep cleaning and better up keep and maintenance...alot of mouse droppings on blankets in drawers...mouse trap in the kitchen and garage, garage also had mouse poop around the traps. A lot of light bulbs were out making the house really dark in the evening..the white sheets had a lot of female hair in the bed making me worried they did not clean them...the hot tub smelled of mildew so bad we had to have someone drop off cleaning tablets bc the house did not come with any. I found a couple tiny bugs on us while we were leaving and now i am stressed out they Had bed bugs because of how dirty it was...with how much I paid for this house for 3 nights I am really disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and maintenancenot done...i am even more irritated after reading reviews from September they said the same things and nothing was fixed...

Great Family Lake Cabin
Stayed with a few friends and everyone’s kids ages 1-1/2 to 10. House was much bigger than expected and all the rooms were HUGE! Plenty of space for family with young kids to share rooms.
Hot tub was awesome overlooking the lake, and for after dipping in to warm up after an early morning ski. Grass right from the cabin to the lake was perfect for games and hanging out. The dock worked great for us and our ski boat. The dock sits pretty high off the water (about 5 ft.) and there’s a lift for your boat. The water is shallow around the dock, so not that great for swimming around or jumping off the dock. But great for fishing off of and hanging out.
Also the actual beach area for kids to play is really small, still nice and soft sand, but just a very narrow patch of sand going into the water next to the dock. The grassy area makes up for the lack of beach. Will be booking again for next summer and possibly this winter since it has the hot tub!

Great place-could use better maintenances
Hi-we had a great trip and there are a few things we want you to know.
2 wine glasses in the dishwasher were cracked when we arrived
It would be helpful to let people know the correct lockbox is on a pillar opposite the front door.
The hot tub was green and smelled mildewy. We are hot tub owners and found shock chemicals and used those. It would be helpful to have instructions for how the owners would like the tub cared for, particularly when it is out of balance.
There appear to be snakes living under the hot tub.
The boat lift has a piece that is bent and loose and it was that way when we arrived. More instructions on how they’d like the lift used would also be helpful.
There are quite a few mice. One was in a trap when we arrived but there was also mouse poop on the kitchen counters every morning and also in boxes of food we put in the pantry, along with holes where they had gotten into food. While we did our best to put all food away, they still seemed to find a way in. Again, it would have saved us throwing out food if we had known it needed to be stored in closed hard plastic containers.

Nice lake front property.
The property was pleasant. The management agency was non-communicative when we tried to contact them to extend our stay, but overall we were pleased.
