About this apartment rental
THIS IS A LEGAL CONFORMING VACATION RENTAL UNIT.
Our stunning 1-bedroom oceanview suite has a king-sized bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, plus a day bed with two twin beds allowing maximum comfort for 6 guests. It comes with a kitchen and has spectacular views of the water, mountains, and city lights. There are 2 lanais (balconies) from where you can enjoy the cool ocean breezes or watch the canoe races on the Ala Wai Canal.
The suite was originally a 2-bedroom that was remodeled to make a 1-bedroom, so the unit stretches from one end of the building to the other, giving ample space to relax and make yourself at home. Also unique to this suite is the convenience of having a washer and dryer in the unit.
Wake up and cook breakfast in the kitchen (complete with oven so you can bake!) or savor a delicious breakfast at the many restaurants close by, then take a leisurely stroll to the world-famous Waikiki Beach where you can take surf lessons, watch a hula performance, or just lay out and sunbathe on the beach. Along the way you will pass the Waikiki Strip and encounter dozens of world-class shops, eateries, and entertainment. Browse through the local stores and pick up unique souvenirs. With all the sights and sounds to take in, walking the Waikiki Strip could easily be a full day's excursion!
Everything is within walking distance, but if you choose to venture out farther there are major bus and trolley lines half a block away from the property. If shopping is your thrill, the island's biggest mall (Ala Moana Shopping Center) is only a mile away. The Hawaii Convention Center is less than a mile away, and Hawaii's historical sites like Iolani Palace, Chinatown, and Downtown Honolulu are less than 4 miles away.
When you're done exploring, stay in and enjoy all that the property has to offer! The Royal Garden has been newly-renovated and features a pool, two saunas, an outdoor BBQ terrace, a fitness center, complimentary 24-hour laundry facilities and complimentary WiFi in each suite.
Please note that this is a privately-owned unit inside the Wyndham Resort. Although you are able to use most of the resort amenities, you are renting from a private owner that is in no way connected to the Wyndham Resort.
We look forward to helping you create lasting Hawaiian memories at one of the best prices in Waikiki!

Our family of 5 stayed here for 4 days (3 adults and 2 teens). I do not recommend this for older children- the twin beds/bedding are not suitable for teens. The pull-out bed is great- for one adult or two kids. The staff at the Wyndham were amazing and very kind! The unit itself s very outdated and has very old appliances. Mold was in the grout of the kitchen. Nothing extra is provided so you must have everything yourself. The views are beautiful and many things are close by. Plan on the $50 a day parking- it’s your only option most of the time.

Could use a little updating but overall clean . Valets are very nice and the unit is easy walking distance to down town and the beach.
Mostly used the room to sleep and shower. Would stay again.

I read reviews before booking, stayed for a week with my family ( 2 teenagers) came across few surprises during our stay.
Unit is large, close to the beach and main shopping area, great views, host was promptly responding and friendly.
Starting shower was a bit of an experience…water pressure was low then high, warm then cold and hot …perhaps building issues. Eventually, got it working.
Bathroom needs some TLC:
perhaps remove hairdryer mount from the wall, it is still mounted to the wall, with clipped cables.
Random holes on the door. Vanity needs to be cleaned little better…questionable stains😳
and quite old. I did not store anything there as it was smelly, shower floor rag seen better days.
Kitchen was also very outdated.
Fridge missing parts inside, not able to store all items, very old unit with paint peeling off, frying pan should be replaced. Microwave stand; it looks as shelving is on its last leg.
Living room came with squeaky bed on the pull out day bed.
We were not able to get AC in the living room to work ( there was a second one in the bedroom which was working)
Bedroom bed frame is coming apart but bed felt comfortable.
Outdoor chairs are very rusty. Washer and dryer was a bonus.
Lots of traffic noise despite of all windows being closed. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper!:)
It comes down to what is more important to you; space or comfort.

We enjoyed our stay. They described it pretty accurately. It is a bigger place to stay. And hey, it’s Hawaii. So all things good.

Short walk to the bus lines. Catch one and go anywhere on the island.

Thank you! Check in was easy, and the staff was amazing. Val-let parking is $40 per day, but well worth it! Hazel was quick to respond to our needs.

The property was in a good location for our family. Tuck away not too far from the Waikiki strip and close to the beach. Communication with the property manager was fantastic. The only negative would be the couches were old and covered with a old sofa cover. Bed sheets has stains which we had to wash when we arrived and the bathroom towels had an old mildew smell. Other than that it was a great place and the staff and security were the nicest people.

Worked well for 5 adults. Great location.

The building is in a nice location. It is close by to the convention center, beach, and so many food places. There is many things in walking distance and there's even a bike rental station right across the street from the building.
My friends and I enjoyed our stay and it had enough space for 5 people and all of our suit cases. I was surprised how spacious the place was.
Most of us are from Texas so I was worried about the A/C but it was strong enough to keep us cool/cold. The bedroom and living room has separate a/c units so that was nice since my friends that stayed in the room liked it warmer. The beds in the living room was a bit squeaky but it was comfortable enough for us. My friends found the day beds a bit too soft but it didn't give them any pains after sleeping on it for many days.
If we are able to attend the convention again next year I would rebook this place again!

Enjoyed the spacious layout and fresh breeze from both balconies.

We were pleased with this property. It was quite spacious and open floor plan with a large master bedroom and the two oceanview lanais were a great. The location is just a quick 10 minute walk to the beach and you can go through a very nice park to get there. The neighborhood felt safe. Everything we needed was provided. The unit was clean, overall. I would definitely recommend this place to others with only one thing to consider if you will have 6 people in the unit as we did. My daughter and her boyfriend slept on the pull-out couch and it was extremely uncomfortable. The couch is VERY worn out and the internal parts were sticking into their backs all night. They considered sleeping on the floor or squeezing into the day bed that was being used by my other two kids. Also, I don't think the bath towels were clean. They smelled very bad and we had to wash them right away. I did appreciate the great, quick communication with the property manager, Jason when we had a minor issue with our entry code and he also communicated to us that the washer was out of service and he was having someone come in to fix it and he asked our permission to let him into the unit so that we weren't 'surprised' He was very helpful and responsive, which was very much appreciated as one of my concerns using VRBO to book a rental was not being able to get a hold of someone in the event of an issue.

The rental is in a great location walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the beach.
The unit itself is roomy and has beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. We especially appreciated having a separate bedroom from the kids with a nice king size bed. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed; we only needed to buy groceries. There were plenty of towels and for your days at the beach there are snorkeling gear and a shade tent. We bought a couple of boogie boards and left them also for future use.
The property is nice with a beautiful pool, garden and BBQs. The security guard at check in was very helpful and even drew us a map of waikiki explaining how to easily get around
A few things to be aware of:
No hot tub on the premises.
The dryer in the unit is not working properly. It makes a constant and very loud screeching nows while on. We were told that it is in the process of being replaced after we tried using it. There are complimentary washers and dryers in the hotel however the washing machine left stains on our white clothes. This is an issue to be aware of.
Our check in process was terrible. The code to the room did not work. We waited an hour to get into our room and then the second code didn't work. Finally we were provided a code that worked three hours into checking in. That was an unpleasant experience.
Despite the above issues, we had an amazing time and would recommend this unit for families. Next time we come to Oahu we will probably stay elsewhere to get a different experience but overall we're happy with our stay.

We loved that the apartment was clean and the master bedroom is separate from the living room. The kids were able to sleep in the living room and watch their show at the end of the day. We were able to have some quite time looking out the lanai and enjoy the wonderful breeze. We also loved that there is a kitchen and washer and dryer which helped in keeping all our clothes washed and cleaned. I appreciated the instructions on where to take the trash and what to do before we left on the last day. I would definitely recommend this place.

The property is beautiful enough room to stretch your legs. Two lanai’s (one off the master bedroom and one off of the living room. Love that we had a small kitchen and two beds in the living room to accommodate my 18 & 20 year old. The valet workers are great always friendly and smiling. It is great that there is a pool on the property. Very nice to have a keypad on the door instead of keeping up with keys or a swipe card. It is also great having a washer and dryer in the unit.
Great place to stay, easy walks to the beach and downtown Waikiki!

Everything about this place was great except for the near-constant police activity outside the hotel (drug deals or something nearby?). Still, that one minus can't outweigh the mountain of pluses!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed. It's within walking distance of everything; stores, food, and the beach. If you have a car, you'll need to either pay for valet parking or find parking on the street. We would definitely stay here again.
2.5 / 5.0
Though the walk is a little bit to get to th beach it was still close enough for a morning stroll. We loved standing on the lanai on both ends of the unit and look out at the city, mountains and beach. Sleeping 6 was a little bit of a stretch as the one sofa sleeper was not at all comfortable to put two people on. One of my adult children just slept on a mat they brough with them.

I especially like the shower which seems new. It’s quite strong and easy to use. People working at Royal Garden is all very kind.

Only suggestion would be for more cleaning tools. After a weeks stay we could have used a broom and a mom.

Great place! Excellent views! Spacious. Centrally located. I wish the pool was heated but other than that it was a wonderful stay. Close to many restaurants and only 10 minutes from the beach.

This was a great view and location. Away from the busy streets and people. I recommend staying here.
