About this apartment rental
Aloha !
Hopefully you will use this word often and feel the Aloha spirit. Our unit is newly remodeled 2 bedroom with1 full bathroom on the 6th floor overlooking the pool. Our unit is high enough to avoid normal traffic noise but low enough to call down to the kids at the pool. We are on the Ala Wai Canal just 1 block from exciting Kalakaua Avenue and within walking distance to world-class shopping, entertainment, restaurants and the Ala Wai Golf course, Everything to need to make your Hawaiian getaway complete. Just a short walk to the Hawaii Convention Center and within walking distance to the Ala Moana shopping center and of course the world famous Waikiki Beach.
The Royal Aloha building offers 24 hour security, on-site pool and charcoal BBQ area, multiple elevators for your convenience and our unit comes with a secured parking space in the gated parking garage.
Our lanai has views towards the west (sunset direction) Ala Wai canal to the north, and the Waikiki skyline to the south, they aren't perfect views, no beach views but very relaxing.
The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has two extra long full
sized beds. The full bathroom has everything you need and soap & shampoo is available.
The living room has a large pull out queen sized bed, a large flat screen TV with cable and all Hawaiian TV stations to include, Chinese, Japanese and Malaysian TV programs. The Wi-Fi internet is easily accessible, strong signal, easy connection and hopefully you will spend more time at the beach instead of on your computer. I do know it is important to have good internet access when you need it.
The kitchen is fully equipped ready to cook with a coffee maker, rice cooker and toaster. There are plenty of towels, 6 large Beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, an umbrella and other beach toys available for use. Prior to Corona Virus we also had snorkeling gear and we will just have to see how that goes.
We have 1 free parking space in the secured parking area, access is with a Fob, you will need it for entrance and exit. Many shops and restaurants are within walking distance, 7-11 is within 1 block, Waikiki Brewing Company is just across the street, numerous coffee shops and take out restaurants are within 2 blocks. Waikiki Beach is a 10-15 minute stroll with plenty of shopping along the way.
If you have a car the H-1 Freeway is just minutes away with easy access to all parts of the islands.
This specific building is noticeable from all parts of Waikiki with the beautiful Weiland painting on the side of the building. We are zoned with hotel/Resort zoning which allows for short term rentals. The address to the property is 1909 Ala Wai Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815.
Here is one last thing I would like to add, Waikiki Beach is a very busy, lively, cosmopolitan, bustling area with high traffic, congestion and noise, the most densely populated part of all Hawaii. If you are looking for a serene peaceful quiet place then Waikiki Beach is probably not the answer. But if you want nightlife, restaurants, beaches, night clubs and shopping then our condo has the perfect location at the entrance to Waikiki and with our secured parking area you have easy access with your car to the rest of the island.

The house was clean and as described in the listing. We appreciate the extra effort the host showed during our time there. Thank you!

We truly enjoyed our time here! It was the right amount of space for our 18 m old, came with a high chair and pack and play which was so useful. Full kitchen which we used daily. Owner was very responsive with check in and Julio helped us immensely with an ac issue that was resolved within one day. The location made walking to the beach, Hilton lagoon, and dinner very attainable! The included parking made longer traveling around the island easy too! Highly recommend and would book again. Interior is dated but functional.

**Review for Vrbo in Waikiki, Oahu:**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
We recently stayed at this Vrbo in Waikiki, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after our long days of exploring. The location was ideal, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping areas.
The only minor inconvenience we encountered was the challenge of parking. While it wasn't a deal-breaker by any means, maneuvering into the parking could be a bit tricky at times. However, with a bit of patience and skill, it was manageable.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place for its comfort and prime location. Just be prepared for a slight parking challenge.

This condo was a little piece of paradise. It has beautiful views outside the main window of the city. The inside had granite countertops, comfy beds, and plenty of room for a family of five. We have visited Oahu several times and this by far the best place we have ever stayed in. It is conveniently located by the ocean and surrounded by fun little shops and restaurants that are only a walk away. The owner is very easy to communicate with and even provided suggestions to make our family vacation more spectacular.

Great Property! Great Location! Highly recommended.

Good location but city is noisy at night. Property manager was very responsive and helpful with check in and detailed location.

The condo worked out very well with us as a group of 5. Close to the beach. Had some issues with the checkin with regards to the lock box but that was resolved early in the morning after. The internet router had to be replaced and was attended to by Julio who set everything in place. Overall, the condo met our needs, communications with the owner and Julio were quite smooth and made for a very enjoyable stay, would definitely stay here again!

We are thankful to have an open communication with Russ. The property was centrally located for our needs and wants. Walking to the beach was a plus since we quickly found out parking was at times problematic for sightseeing locations.. condo is on a one way street, which made it easier to exit/enter the condo parking, close to airport, easy directions to freeways. The condo was kept cool to beat the Hawaii’s hot weather. Lots to see locally, but we strongly recommend renting a car to sightsee outside Wakiki area. The kitchenette had very basic minimum (no pots/pans), but plenty of glasses, plates, utensils. Minor issues: bifold doors didn’t fully open/close properly, no bathroom fan to help with moisture buildup (we did use the floor fan to help dry the bathroom), recommend ice cube trays to have ice for cold water (a must fit hot summer days). We also did laundry for fresh towels and easily accessible common laundry facilities on same floor and using a credit card was a nice feature. Overall, a nice place for a family of 4.

I will give the property owner a five star. He was very nice and did a good job at communicating with us. However, the conditions of the property were not as expected. We were not comfortable in the condo unit due to the roaches that we found every day. Because of the roach situation we did not cook in the room to avoid having food which would only draw in more roaches. The trash chute area is very disgusting and you can smell it when you’re on/at the elevators. I feel the building as a whole, should do more to keep the roaches under control. I realize that we were in a tropical location and roaches are present. However, this condo was the second place we stayed at during our vacation time and the first place just down the road had no roaches at all.

The owners of the property provided great customer service throughout our stay as well as before and after our stay.
They were quick to address any issues that came up during our stay. I could not be happier with the customer service.
The location is perfect walking distance to everything going on downtown Waikiki including the beach. Great to have the parking space as parking can be difficult in Waikiki.
Great value! Excellent customer service! Thank you!

Russ was incredible to work with however I was totally grossed out to find roaches in the kitchen and bathroom. I didn’t use the kitchen like I had planned to prepare meals, the VRBO was not cheap so full disclosure about the roaches would have been appreciated.

The communication with Russ was excellent. He provided all sorts of great information about the condo along with things to do around Waikiki. He was very attentive to text messages.
Condo was in a great location with an easy walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars. If you like dive bars then you have to checkout Suzie Wongs, Irish Rose and The Harbor bar(best pizza and nachos). All very close.
Beach chairs, towels, etc were greatly appreciated. We used them often.
Having a parking space was a huge plus. It was so easy to get in and out once you figure out the one way streets.
Street noise was not bad at all. Hardly noticed it unless an ambulance drove by. You are in the most populated area of Hawaii after all.
I could not recommend this condo any more. We stayed two weeks and would stay there again.
Julio was a huge help with the wifi, which turned out to be user error. He also helped with any needed items during our stay.

The description of the property was spot on. Very clean. Was a lot of street noise but we expected that due to location. Loved the extras we didn’t have to bring such as beach towels.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO condo. The location was great, the on-site parking was very convenient. The property manager was very helpful in assisting with travel disruptions.

Good find right in Waikiki- 2 rooms, building not the most glamorous but safe and great location. Russ super-responsive, no issues. Recommended!

Im a former Honolulu resident so Im picky about neighborhoods. This place is in the perfect Waikiki location ... it avoids driving thru all the Waikiki tourist traffic. Walking distance to beaches and restaurants, and easy access to freeway for Oahu exploration. Place was really clean and has all you need for a couple or small family, to include beach things/towels, etc.
Just be aware you are in Waikiki where there may be some traffic noise but it isnt bad or constant. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY COME BACK AND STAY HERE.

The Condo is not far from the beach. The windows are slotted windows that you can use a crank to open and shut but when shut do not keep noise out. Streets are very busy with ambulances, sirens and loud cars and motorcycles at all hours so sleeping is hard with windows that don’t seal because of design. This is not the owners fault as the whole building is designed with these windows for hurricanes and the residents that live there hate them also. Just adding this in case you are a light sleeper so you know this probably wouldn’t be a good property for you. The bathroom needs updating as bath spout was coming off wall and a lot of mold and mildew in the bathroom. Other then that it was a nice place.

We booked for 2 nights. We checked out after 1. Were promised a refund. Broken window cardboarded up. Mouldy bathroom. Not clean. Not safe. Aircond not working. Owner Russ is now not responding to emails and no refund in sight. Was a terrible end to an otherwise great holiday on three of the other islands. Please just give us the agreed refund.

Apartment was very nice and roomy. Loved the decor including the glass doors to the bedroom and bathroom. Because my wife is wheelchair bound the bathroom was a challenge as we could not get her chair in. We did however made it work. It was nice that the building is within walking distance to nice restaurants and the beach.

Waikiki stay
Nice property, great location. Road noise a little loud at night but not terrible. Use of cooler was great to take during the day. No washer/dryer in unit but it was available in a common area. Nice to have guaranteed parking. Only recommendation is to fix the glass panes on the louvered window by the lanai. One kept falling out. Otherwise we had a great time in Oahu.

Location and communication 👍🏼👍🏼
This location was a short walk away from shopping and entertainment, and just minutes drive-time to the beach. Communication with the renter was very good. Overall experience was good. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway spot to lay your head without breaking the bank, this place will work for you!

Good location but amenities not as nice
This is an awesome property owner with regard to communication.
The unit is no longer quite as nice as the photos. If you want a great location and aren't spending time in the unit then this is a good place to go.

First Time in Hawaii
Great location for our needs (beach, Pearl Harbor, public transit), very responsive owners. Had an AC issue the night we arrived which was dealt with promptly, last minute location change also but not a problem overall. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend the owners! Thank you!

Great location. A cute little condo
This condo is located in a very co vinientocation. Walking distance to Waikiki Beach and many restaurants and shops. The condo is very clean and had everthing we needed for our stay. The host Russell was very kind and accomodating. The property manager was quick to respond to our questions. As indicated in the property listing , this condo is located on a very busy street. So if you are looking for a place quiet and relaxing, this condo maybe not for you. But it was fine with us and we had a great time. Thank you for letting us stay at your condo, Russell.

I really like how the owner texted me and was available anytime. Great communication! Close to the Waikiki Strip and had space for the whole family.

6th Floor
The property is on a busy street with traffic. It was difficult for us to sleep with the traffic and sirens.
The property had been remodeled, but is showing some wear compared to the pictures.

Great home away from home
We were looking for a condo between Downtown and Waikiki to spend time with family. This property worked out perfectly for us. We spent a lot of time in the unit - everything was very clean, comfortable, and not too noisy for Waikiki (good to be on the 6th floor!). Russ was a superb host, checking in with us via text just before we arrived and making sure everything went smoothly. We hadn't planned on renting a car, but once we needed one for family reasons, it was SOOO great to have our own dedicated parking space. Just know that the building is older, pool is small, and it's a good 20-30 min walk to the heart of Waikiki dining and beaches. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean condo, good location in proximity to things to do and places to eat in Waikiki.

Wonderful stay in Waikiki
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our time in Waikiki at Russ' place. The property was clean and comfortable. Russ was very communicative and readily available if we had any questions. There is laundry available down the hall, but you may have to reload the laundry cards. Of note, when checking in, the entrance to the gated parking spot is off Ala Wai Blvd, while the front door where you pick up the keys is on McCully St. We initially had a hard time finding the proper parking area because of all the one way streets, but this was not an issue afterwards. The location is wonderful, in walking distance of many shops and the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki without all of the congestion. Property was stocked with all of your beach necessities.

Nice little condo
It's an older building but the condo unit we stayed in was clean and upgraded. The booking and check in process was a breeze. Russ gave good recommendations for things do and was a great host. Looking forward to the next time we visit.

Great host!
Cute condo with two bedrooms. Close to everything in Waikiki. Parking space included!

This place is old, the fan in the bathroom did not work, no privacy for the room since there was a closet door only. Very loud noises since it’s located on a very busy street. Also. Be careful of the roaches in this place.

Great place located in a wonderful neighborhood
The place was neat and clean. The location is great - walking distance from the beach and so many restaurants. We had a lovely stay
