Everything was perfect
We were dropping our daughter at UVM, so stayed for two week. Suzanne was a wonderful host accommodating all my unusual requests due to my freshman and corona situation.
The cabin is true to description in an incredible location. It’s rustic but important things like beds, bedding, shower were very comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed for out two week stay. Thank you Suzanne and Clark! We are definitely coming back.

Perfect setting, fabulous week, a few improvements would make a big difference
We loved our stay at the camp on Lake Champlain. With a deck and a screen porch on the lake, who could ask for anything more? Suzanne was a gracious host, the house had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for hanging out, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and biking. A few small improvements would vastly improve the "rustic" cabin -- doors on the bedrooms, a comfortable bed, some decent furniture (not fancy, just decent), a bar of soap in the shower. We would come back in a heartbeat with a few small improvements.

Rustic and beautiful
We had such a relaxing week- the weather worked out, every evening we saw beautiful sunsets from the deck, we enjoyed kayaking and lounging around. This location is within 30 minutes of Burlington, and tons of trails to hike. The space was not too small for us 4, we were able to cook some simple meals in the little kitchen, we were able to share the 1 bathroom without issue. Between the 4 of us we went through at least a gallon of water and some water bottles every day- drinking/ cooking/ making ice cubes, we were glad we brought a case of water bottles to have on hand plus the water supplied by the host. There is definitely zero privacy in the cabin- bedroom doors are see-through and hear-through since they are a woven screen, but luckily none of us snored! Everything was pretty much perfect except for our cabins lake access was out of commission due to low water levels in the lake so we had to use the nearby beach for all water activities. Our host was so friendly and responded quickly, overall no complaints!

Great view, needs TLC.
We enjoyed a 5 day stay at the Gabriel Cabin over the Fourth of July holiday. The location in North Ferrisburgh and specifically this bay is outstanding. The cabin is close to so many things to do in this section of VT and the views from this side of the lake - of the Adirondacks, are spectacular. We loved the peace and quiet of the cabin, nestled in the woods, but also a great water view (though a bit more tree trimming would make it even better).
With any cabin rental there is usually a bit of 'wish this or that', and I share only to hopefully help improve this camp experience for future use. It has great potential with a bit of TLC. We wished the gas grill was as expected adjacent to our cabin. Instead it was a communal gas grill about a 5-minute walk away on the communal beach, so we never used it. Instead we did all of our cooking inside. Therefore, we recommend a cooktop vent for the stove and a ceiling fan in the kitchen to help mitigate the heat while cooking and during the hotter hours of the day. As for the rest of the interior, the beds were fine - clean sheets and towels. However, the overall cabin could use some updates. The lighting is very poor in the kitchen and living room area. Luckily for us the week was very sunny, but if it wasn't . . . Furniture could use some updating, and the immediate area surrounding the cabin could also use some tidying that could help with the overall curb appeal.
That said, our host was very accommodating and hospitable. She was responsive during the booking process and available when we needed her while visiting as well. She was friendly and generous and we would certainly consider a second visit. We love VT and enjoyed being on the lake and were fortunate to still be able to visit during these crazy times (COVID-19 for those reading after all of this over!).

Peaceful and serene
We keep a sailboat nearby and this was the perfect location for a getaway. The property is spacious and well-equipped for lake activities (e.g. kayaking). Would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip to Vermont
We had reserved Camp Gabriel for 4 nights, but due to an unforeseeable issue, Suzanne worked with us to make sure we had somewhere to stay. We ended up at Bigalow for 3 nights and enjoyed a hotel farther north on the last night of our time in Vermont. The property is a very rustic fishing cabin, complete with modern amenities (tv, wifi, everything you need to cook). The views were amazing, the walk to the lake was minimal, and we overall had a fantastic stay. The mosquitos all over the NEK are insane this year, but that's really my only complaint. We loved attempting the boats and throwing some lines into the lake, but have learned that June is still a bit early to expect warm lake temps. The property is gorgeous though and I loved having access to the boats and communal areas. Suzanne was a wonderful hostess, and I would definitely consider renting with her again next time I am in the area. So thankful for her quick resolution to our housing issue and for her hospitality. 5 stars, for sure!

Camp Gabriel was wonderful!
Myself and three others stayed at Camp Gabriel and had a great time. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Not to mention the view and location of the property is second to none. Suzanne was very helpful before and during our stay. I highly recommend Camp Gabriel for a getaway location on Lake Champlain!

beautiful setting, swimming, kayaking, relaxing
We stayed five days at the cottage.
Lovely setting with other cottages nearby (plenty privacy) along the waterfront.
Plenty of boats to choose from. Easy access to water.
There was a communal grill we used and then ate on our private deck.
Overall is was great. Two new comfy chairs would make it perfect! ( there are plenty chairs but non were really comfy to lounge on deck).

Cozy Cabin on the lake
We had a wonderful time watching the sunset at this cozy cabin on the lake.

Beautiful views and easy Lake access, close to Burlington and Vergennes.
The enclosed porch and outdoor deck overlooking the water with beautiful sunsets, and a short walk down to the water made this is wonderful place to stay. There are places to sit by the water, with picnic and grilling spots, swimming, canoe and kayaks available.
Communication with Suzanne was terrific and she welcomed us and answered any questions. We had no problems following her excellent directions and settling in.
One rainy day we enjoyed a visit to the Maritime Museum near Basin Harbor and there are various options to dine out or pick things up within a few miles.
The cabin is basic and comfortable, with fans for living area and bedroom. We only needed one bedroom, but some might like to know they have folding doors. Bathroom is small with a shower stall. Kitchen offers full appliances, tools you need for cooking and eating, and extra drinking water. Bring your own condiments, cooking oil, etc.
We enjoyed the cozy cabin for a lakeside get-away.

Camp Gabriel was a great place to vacation.
Our month long stay at Camp Gabriel was great. Situated on Lake Champlain looking at the Adirondacks with access to kayaks, rowboats, and canoes was a dream come true. The cabin was adequate, supplied with all the things we needed. Some instructions on how to use the gas stove would have helped, as well as more bottled water. Other than that it was all good.

Relaxing, Cozy, Comfortable
We spent a week at the Bayview Farm camp Gabriel. Set high above the lake, the cottage is rustic, but comfortable. The bedroom I used had a new wonderfully firm mattress, and the kitchen was sufficient for our needs. The absolute best part of the experience is the screen porch and deck where you can sit in the evenings with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the Adirondacks.
There is not direct lake access from the cottage, but there is a grassy beach just a (very) short walk down the road with kayaks and a canoe available for use. The lake levels are low right now, making the cove pretty still and a little weedy. Because of this we opted to swim in nearby Kingsland Bay State Park, but the beach view is a perfect one.
The cottage does sit among several others, but we always felt like we had plenty of privacy. I slept incredibly well with cross breezes from the open windows. We felt so safe, we never locked up the cottage. There is web-enabled television and good wifi, but we never turned on the TV, opting instead to relax and read in the eves. If you do want games or books, you will need to bring them. The cottage does not have a supply.
The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. The cottage is situated minutes from Shelburne and Vergennes, and just a short drive to Burlington and Middlebury.
It was a great rental for the price. Peaceful, relaxing, and cozy.

Chilling at the Lakeside
Stage 2 of our New England tour involved our stay at this charming and comfortable cabin, which had everything we needed - and a view to die for! Suzanne (owner) gave us a very warm welcome, and in no time at all we were out on the deck, clutching our glasses of the USA's finest and gazing at a beautiful Vermont sunset. Much to do in the area (go and look for the local covered bridges), and with several good "eateries" nearby, the best being the Starry Night Cafe - not so much a cafe, more a gourmet experience! Great location, but not quite what we expected.
The cottage location is great and we especially enjoyed sunsets from the screen porch. However, be advised that the beach and dock shown in the photos are a short walk from the cottage, not immediately adjacent. When we were there the grill wasn't working, but hopefully the owners have fixed it/replaced it now. The cottage itself is small and sparsely furnished/equipped, and the bathroom is very small, but everything was reasonably clean. Also, be advised that you can't drink the tap water. A jug of water was provided, but you may need to purchase more yourself. Despite these minor inconveniences, we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great area to paddle, bike, and walk - plus only a short drive to restaurants, etc....

Overall a great experience
Property is beautiful. Cabins were closer together than we thought. Our cabin had great lake views with dock access and beach access further down the property. Overall the cabin was nice, well equipped. Suzanne was great, very informative. Most activities a easy drive - about 30 minutes. We visited Burlington, several wineries and several parks. Only real drawback, it can get a little loud on the weekends. Still a great place to stay.
