Welcome to "My Beach Alibi" the perfect Miramar Beach and lake front vacation home with a private pool and quick access to the private community beach.
Every room has been professionally decorated to flow and work together in harmony. The stunning kitchen features granite counters, refreshed open face shelving and brand new appliances. Cook extravagant meals on the professional gas range in this state of the art kitchen, and dine on the extra long custom dining room table. The dinner table will easily seat 10, with 5 additional kitchen bar area seats. You will find a beautifully updated full bathroom by the kitchen entrance which serves to the first floor. The first floor also features a generous living room overlooking the lake, with abundant seating and a 65 inch smart TV over the gas fire place.
Walk out of the double doors straight onto the back deck overlooking the lake and pool. It is the perfect place to grill on the gas BBQ and dine alfresco. The heated pool can be enjoyed year around. We also have a large fully ship lapped first floor bedroom with a king sized bed and built in bunks twin bunks, all outfitted in fine linens. The various custom built bunk beds throughout the home have great features, such as individual lights and outlets for phones and computers. Each bedroom also features plenty of closet space and flat Screen TV's. On the second floor, at the top of the stairs, you will find the laundry center with an extra large washer and dryer, as well as three additional bedrooms. The master suite is simply awe inspiring with its fabulous views, chic design, king Temperpedic mattress and custom luxury linens. You will also find seating, a large smart TV and a private bathroom suite attached to the master. The luxurious Thassos and Carrara marble bathroom has sprawling double vanities, separate extra large walk in shower and a stand alone tub for every creature comfort. Tucked away in a private area by the master closet, is a hidden bunk niche for the kids! The master has a balcony overlooking the pool and large pond.

The final show stopper is a large custom built bunk room that sleeps 10 people, two sets of full over full bunk beds with twin trundles, amazing carpentry! Each bunk has a charging nook and a sconce light for late night reading and telling stories! A wonderful space for children or adults, there is plenty of room for all! There is also a large smart TV for those nights when you just can't fall asleep! The bathroom servicing this bunk room is across the hall. Peek views of the Gulf of Mexico from top floor.

The house was very nice and the location to the beach was even better than in the image. You walk directly onto the beach from the neighborhood. It was beautiful and we loved having the chair setup and umbrellas. It was great to have the beach toys & extra chairs. Also, the pool was wonderful! We were a little disappointed that there were no spices/seasonings. It would be nice if they leave things like salt & pepper for other guests instead of having to buy everything. But, it was a great place and we really did enjoy the house!

My family enjoyed a beautiful week at the beach. The property is beautifully decorated. We were disappointed that a starter kit was given with regards to dish soap, toilet paper, paper towel. We were a party of 9 and 2 rolls of TP and a mini dish soap would not last the week. There were not any spices or basic necessities provided.
We had a fabulous time but have had this provided at all other VRBO stays. I would stay at this property again.

Every year I take my kids and grandkids for our annual family vacation. We chose My Beach Alibi on Miramar Beach this year. Best decision ever! Plenty of space for everyone. Impeccable decor! The location is excellent! The pool, the deck, the layout of the house, and the only TWO minute walk to the beach! Literally surrounded by tons of things to do and see! We already tried to book it for next year but it’s full. 😓. We will always keep this house at the top of our greatest destinations yet!!! Thank you for everything!!

We loved this house! Gorgeous home which is steps away from the beach. Our family loved the pool after a long day on the beach. Loved being able to walk down the beach to the Surf Hut for a drink or a quick meal. So happy we stayed here and look forward to our return next year.

My Beach Alibi was an amazing property. Perfect location! The home was beautifully decorated. Very well equipped home also. We had a problem getting the fire pit started. They had someone out the next morning to get it running. We would definitely rent here again.

We love staying at this property. The location is absolutely the most convenient. It's also so safe in this gated community. Security is wonderful! We did however encounter a group of rowdy spring breakers right next door. Thankfully they took care of the issue and we only had to deal with these partiers for 2 nights. If I could make any recommendations, I would say that the maintenance free decking under the pergola (as you are heading to the ocean) had screws popping out all over. My daughter did step on one. Other than that, we will come again!

We really had a very good vacation and stay at "my beach alibi". The house was very nice and spacious. The pool was warm and the kids love it so much. The house was steps away from the beach. One thing we didnt really like is that there are small cockroaches in the rooms and bathrooms upstairs. Hopefully something can be done about that. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

I would definitely rent from here again. We had more then enough room for 14 people and the beach was closer then we thought with only a 2 minute walk. Not big issues but we didn’t have hot water for a night but they sent someone asap to fix and we did find something under furniture that could have been cleaned up but other then that this place was better then we expected!

The house is very close to the beach which made coming and going very easy. Closed community, no streets to cross. The location of the home is also very convenient to a grocery store and other shopping.Very well stocked kitchen and we loved the 2 refrigerators’, even though the garage refrigerator does not have any shelves left, still was very useful.Having 2 beach setups ready to go everyday was also a plus. This property has many features, overall is a great rental!On the negative side, the patio does not have any shade or cover. Pool and patio usage during the day will be limited due to lack of shade. The big umbrella advertised in the photos was not available at the time we rented. I called the property management twice about this topic, they never return my calls with a resolution.Be aware that the downstairs full bath is basically located in the kitchen, not attached to bedroom as the photos shows. We had a few cockroaches visitors in the downstairs bathroom, inconvenience that can be addressed with pest control.Entry door code expired 20min prior checkout time. Unpleasant surprise since the checkout time was set for 10am not 9:40am.

This property was exactly what you see in the pics and more. Plenty of room for everyone! The private pool was nice at the end of the day to relax and have family time around. The home was also stocked with beach chairs, floats ect which was awesome! Also comes with 2 beach setups. So nice to walk down and they're set up and ready to go! Fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs and a ready to use outdoor grill! The walk to the beach is very easy and less than 200 steps.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Check in was easy and early access to house was available. Walk to beach is 2-3 minutes, with only a private drive to cross, which was perfect for our 3 and 5 year olds. Beach chairs and umbrellas set up were wonderful, along with additional unbrella and toys available at the house.
House was well stocked and beds comfortable; however, we couldn't find bedding for the trundles and there were no blankets (sheets and thin bedspreads only). Also, not enough bath towels - we just washed them often.
Management responded quickly to maintenance issue - we had no hot water and a few outlets in one bedroom not working upon arrival. We called the next morning and repair personnel responded within a couple hours.
Earlier reviews mentioned a vehicle being housed in the garage. This was not the case for us. We could have parked 2 cars in the garage, but couldn't get one of the garage doors to raise. Three mini vans fit on the parking pad and additional parking is available inside the secured community at the front gate.
We were unable to obtain pool dimensions from management, prior to arrival. This was frustrating, as pool size was very important to our 10 and 12 year olds. We have stayed at another Shipwatch property in the past and were aware that some of the homes have more of a wading pool versus a swiming pool. I was pleased to discover, upon arrival, the pool at My Alibi is approximately 4 feet deep and measured 9 feet by 18 feet. This more than satisfied all of our children from ages 3 - 12. It would have relieved stress could we have received this information earlier, seems insignificant unless you're 10.
We reported a pipe issue that wasn't huge to us, but hopefully will be addressed for future stays. Occassionally, the pipes make an annoying high pitched "screech" when flushing toilets, taking showers, etc. It didn't impact our stay, but we reported for future maintenance.
It was a fantastic property in a great location, close to grocery, shopping, and resturants, but not in the middle of the heavy Destin congestion. This is our favorite community and would gladly rent My Alibi again. Evenso, I wanted to leave an honest review that included a few points that managment may want to consider to make the property even better!

Our stay was amazing. We were 4 families and it was the perfect fit for us. We had stayed in this neighborhood before and we loved the private beach so you don't have to deal with the crowd. That is why we came back! Lots of beach toys, chairs and even an umbrella in the garage, so you don't need to bring any of that stuff! Blankets on the bed are thin so if you get cold at night I recommend you bring a blanket. Other than that it was PERFECT!

Everything we look for in a rental!
Our stay was perfect. We love the Shipwatch neighborhood. We spend a lot of time at the beach so the proximity and ease of walking to beach is important. This house also has a great backyard with a pool that was warm due to sun exposure. We didn’t feel the need to heat it in May. Home is nicely decorated. Check in was a breeze. We had zero issues during our two week stay so no need to communicate with property manager until we texted our departure. We hope to return and highly recommend.

Family reunion
We had a large party, approximately 20 people. We had no trouble fitting everyone. The house was bright, clean, and fully equipped to host. I think the last people to rent the property didn't clean the grill out because when we went to use it, it was quite dirty. Also the linens had sand in it when we arrived. Other than that, we had a good time.

Gorgeous Home Perfect for Family
This was an absolutely gorgeous home. It honestly was much larger than we needed for our family of 4, but the location and amenities of the home convinced us that it was worth the splurge. We were right! The beach chair set up was perfect and the short walk (to and from) allowed our kids to come and go from the beach to the house as needed.
The home was perfectly equipped and had more than enough amenities to last the week. We did purchase trash bags and paper towels out of habit, but otherwise we had everything we needed.
We had a couple of minor issues— the guests before us left the home in terrible condition and the cleaning crew cancelled on the property manager, so we had to wait longer than normal for check in (to allow extra cleaning time); however the manager was extremely gracious and kind and didn’t mind us waiting on the pool deck while she cleaned.
We also paid to have the pool heated, but When the pool maintenance staff arrived they told us that due to the exceptionally warm weather, the pool heater would never turn on. He suggested that we not be charged for the heating since it would not actually operate. We asked the management to remove the charge, and have not had follow up on that yet. It’s possible that they refunded the charge and I didn’t notice it, but I assume that it will be taken care of when I inquire more.
Other than those two very minor issues, we absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home. We will definitely choose it again if we return to Miramar Beach.

Family vacation
The property, location, beach access was awesome! The only negative aspects was that the house was very dirty like it wasn’t cleaned at all. We cleaned the house so we could get all set up as sand was all over the floors and the counters had to be wiped clean. And the pool wasn’t clean either. The pool guy came out right away and did his job. He said he would be back mid week. Never showed up however.
We really enjoyed our stay but we’re disappointed we had to pay so much for cleaning when it wasn’t clean when got there.
I would recommend this as a great place to stay if mgmt would take responsibility of making sure these issues are addressed.

Gorgeous Beach House, Perfect Location, Super Close to Beach!!!
We all were amazed when we walked through the door!!! This gorgeous house looks exactly as pictured and was spotless. Located in a gated community, we felt very safe the entire time and its a quiet area. Probably 2 to 3 minutes walk from the private access beach. We were grateful for the reserved 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas whenever we went during the day. We did have to call the Host about the beach setup, but that's only because the beach attendant didn't have his info correct. After speaking with Beyond Blue Vacations, the promptly handled the matter and we had no issues the next time. The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you'll need, though I prefer cast iron over non stick pans. I do wish there was a stainless steel kettle, but still not a huge deficit. The blender was good to have. The layout of the bedrooms were perfect. Our kids loved the bunk room upstairs and the master bedroom/ bathroom (huge tub) was perfect!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well and nice outdoor dining space. The kids found the games in the cabinet near the dining table indoors so that was fun. They also provided pool toys in the chest beside the pool and beach toys in the closet inside the garage. Bring your own beach towels. Wifi worked perfect even with our 7 devices being used. We absolutely love this house and would definitely stay here again!! The perfect vacation house.
