About this cottage rental
Located on a 290 acre public lake with speedboating, fishing, sailing, swimming in your backyard. This 3 bedroom cottage has been remodeled to give you the comforts of home while it feels like your at summer camp. A large 3 seasons room is perfect for a family gathering with 7 sliding glass doors overlooking the water. Bring your boat, skis, kayaks, fishing tackle, and swimsuits for summer fun. A private dock is on the property.
The cottage is a two story with 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has hardwood flooring, a queen size bed and master bath. The 2nd bedroom is carpeted with a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom is carpeted with two twin beds, one has a trundle pull out under it. The cottage will sleep 6 comfortably with the possibility of another child or young adult.
The mechanical include a gas furnace, central air, water softener and a tankless water heater. The laundry room has a washer and dryer with shelving for storage. Linens are typically provided for a fee unless otherwise instructed. There is Cable internet with wifi modem access at this location.
The kitchen consists of porcelain tile flooring, white cabinets with brushed nickel knobs and pulls. Stainless steel appliances finish the space which include: refrigerator freezer, microwave, range/oven and a dishwasher. Cookware is stocked along with a coffee maker and dinnerware. The kitchen table and chairs make up the lake side of the kitchen.
The wall between the kitchen and living room has a snack bar area with stools for a couple. The living room has a couch and love seat with coffee table and end tables, gas fireplace and television.
The first floor bathroom has a 5ft shower, toilet and lavatory sink. The Master bathroom has a 5ft tub/tile shower, toilet, and lavatory sink.
There is plenty of room outdoors for lawn chairs, sun bathing, etc. The property has a sand beach area for children/ adults to play and wade into and swim. Always pay close attention to any child near the water. There are no life guards on duty. Swim at your own risk.

This house was good, but the listing details were not accurate and there were some things that we booked the house for that weren't there.
1. The lake the house was on was not swimmable because of an algae bloom. The host told us the day before we left, but the report that announced that the lake was non-swimmable was published more than two weeks before our trip.
2. There was a hot tub advertised, no hot tub existed. Not even a tub with jets that could be considered a hot tub.
3. The grill advertised was present, but there was no propane in the tank, so we couldn't use it.
4. Spa tub advertised didn't exist.
5. The TV was advertised as a "Smart TV", but was not. There was a DVD player, but there was no power cord for it to be used. Contacted the host about this issue, they were no help.
6. Video games were advertised, but not present.
7. The listing said there was a "sand beach", but there was no beach. The yard went right up to the water with a concrete retaining wall between the lake and the yard.
Outside of the inaccurate listing details, our other complaint is that the beds were uncomfortably hard. Also, the host was very slow to respond to messages.

Easy to get to, very very clean, directions easy to understand, pride in ownership, beautiful flat lake shore. Everything was in working order, handicap shower was nice, nicely decorated with lake cabin feel.

We had a wonderful time visiting our son who works in Canton and lives in Akron. This was a convenient location for our family and had everything we needed. Plenty of room, clean and a relaxing view of the lake. Grocery shopping and restaurants nearby and easy to get to from Akron or Canton. We had a great stay. Thank you!

This was our second time vacationing at this home. The home is beautiful and we were left a few snacks and Keurig K-Cups. This Lake is just as beautiful and peaceful. The owners are quick to answer questions. We just love it here!

We went to see family in the Akron area and with all three of our adult children plus our son’s girlfriend making the trip we knew it was too many for my in-law’s place. This was perfect!! Enough space, twenty minutes from family and the relaxing lake view was marvelous! Definitely plan to stay again if we all make the trip again next time!

This was our second visit to the property. Owners continue to upgrade and make improvements to the house and property. Very clean and convenient to major highways and a shopping center is nearby. The screened-in back porch overlooking the lake is great anytime of the day.

This property was perfect for our stay while we were in town for a wedding. It was centrally located for where we needed to go. The website description and pictures showed the house exactly as we found it and if we were to go back again, we would definitely stay here again!

We came to Akron from eastern PA for a family event. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean, nicely decorated and updated throughout. We especially enjoyed reading , having coffee and breakfast in the enclosed porch overlooking the lake. The wall heater took the chill off in porch quickly. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Very convient to our local travel locations. We have already recommended this property to friends and family.

The home is very nice, location is great … very peaceful on the waterfront watching the birds and the water recreation… Fishing was good and the host was very helpful! There is quite a bit of road noise due to backing to a busy street and we were not able to swim due to to an algae bloom, there also is no sandy beach on the property. Overall it is a very nice home and we enjoyed our trip.

House is very clean and well laid out for extended stay. Screened in porch was absolutely the best - we spent much time there enjoying all weather changes. Beds were comfortable - kitchen supplied with appropriate equipment including an air fryer and Kerrigan. Our granddaughter loved the back deck and the park. Would certainly rent again in the future. Traffic is pretty heavy at times of the day on the main road but it was not a distraction. We brought fans for the bedrooms so did not hear noise at all while sleeping - but if light sleeper would suggest ear plugs. Very nice place!

The property was clean and cozy. The lake was beautiful and the atmosphere was peaceful. We had such a good time catching and releasing fish. Caught a couple of big ones! It was the get-a-way we needed. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our week here very much! Fantastic view of the lake, and very relaxing. It is near a busy road, so we ended up needing to use fans in our bedrooms at night to drown out the traffic noise, but other than that it was just perfect for us. Very clean, comfortable, and good communication with the host.

We had a wonderful time staying in this home over July 4th weekend! The house is extremely clean and very well maintained. Everything in the home seemed new and upgraded. We really enjoyed the back patio! We sat outside almost every evening ... it was very relaxing. We would definitely recommend this rental and would love to stay here again when we are visiting the area. Thank you!

The home was spotless and well equipped. All of the floor coverings were newer and very clean. The host responded quickly to all questions that we had during our stay. The wonderful enclosed back porch provided a great space to gather and enjoy the lake views. I would stay hear again.

We rented this for a wedding in the area. We loved it. Probably the cleanest house we’ve ever rented. We’d rent it again if we stayed in the area. The beds were comfortable. The A/C worked great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The area is very nice. The only reason we took one star off was because we happened to rent during a lake festival. A lot of extra cars, trucks, trailers, and people during the festival. It would have been nice to know. Again, any other time we’d stay again!

We rented this cottage by the lake. We brought our kayaks. The weather was perfect. The house was immaculate and the backyard view of the lake is breathtaking. The house is set on a private road. The only setback, for light sleepers (like myself and my daughter), was the sound of traffic from the highway across from this house. Although my husband and son slept soundly. I would totally rent this house again.

This was a very nice place! Very clean and comfortable, with slightly more room than the pictures showed. The furnishings and appliances are high quality. Beds were comfortable. Cookware was better than many other places we have stayed. The enclosed porch, backyard and lake are lovely! Owners recommended a great place for Sunday brunch.A couple of minor drawbacks. There were not enough glasses for all of us and barely enough plates. Only 1 hot pad. Just a Keurig for coffee, but there is a pod you can put your coffee in. Didn't supply enough toilet paper for the weekend (main level bathroom only had a partial roll!) and only 3 paper napkins. There is a busy road in the front which most of us only noticed in the morning a bit as we were waking up. We had one light sleeper who wished he had brought earplugs.Overall we had a wonderful stay!

There’s a lot duck poop in the yard. It would’ve been perfect if we had access to water sports to enjoy the beautiful lake. The tv has a terrible connection so bring DVDs. The owners were very helpful sharing information about the area and fun things to do. The beds are very comfy and the whole place is cozy and clean.
