The location was beautiful as was

The lodge was amazing. Everyone said this was their favorite place we have stayed in. We have been coming to Branson for 8 yrs for vacation. Kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large group. We had 17. Our only complaint would be the lake was very dirty and mossy. The kids could not get in and swim. The mosquitoes were very bad. We bought spray to spray on patio and dwn at the deck. Of course not the owners fault. Just that time of year! We hope to stay again!

We love the openness of this house. Very relaxing and close to everything that we wanted to do. Will definitely stay here again.

We were blown away with our accomodations at the lodge, very clean ,warm and friendly. It met our needs to a tee. Much to do and see, canoeing ,pool, firepit and a great meeting place for our family. We had a couple of issues which were handled immediately by Michael who was an excellent host. Would go back to stay anytime. Wonderful family experience. Mike

This was a great place for my family to meet up with our friends. We both have large families and the lodge accommodated us very well. Everything was as advertised. The kitchen really facilitated both families with dual everything. We loved the canoes and enjoyed a lot of time canoeing around the water, fishing on the dock and campfire by the water.

Was so nice. Beautiful property. Pleanty of space . We had 14 adults and still had plenty of room. 2 large refrigerators was supper helpful.

Very clean, well managed property, the views are amazing and the house was perfect.

We had a great time. The property was beautiful and the stay was more than accommodating. Everything worked great and the whole group loved it. Every person that walked in was very impressed. I definitely recommend this stay. 👍👍

Perfect getaway for Christmas. Plenty of room to spend time with family. The porch is relaxing sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying the view. They have everything you need there to cook. Definitely would book there again.

The property was just as advertised. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We had a great stay at Red Elk Lodge! It was a beautiful, well stocked home that my whole family enjoyed. We hope to stay there again in the future. The property manager was very helpful and answered our questions very quickly. Would definitely recommend this property for a beautiful, relaxing vacation.

Great place. Very well stocked with just about everything you could need other than food of course. Quiet setting with no interruptions. We look forward to returning again.
4.9
Fantastic location and home. We absolutely loved the setting and being able to let the kids fish from dock and others to jump in the canoes and get to the ‘real’ fishing areas. We also loved the fire pit and openness of the place. Super roomy with everything you need for a great vacation.

We had 7 people who shared the lodge, everyone loved having their own king size bed and their own bedroom. The kitchen is to died for, double ovens, double coffee pots, double refrigerators, 5 gas burners and pretty much any kitchen tools & supply's you could need. Our group are long time friends that enjoy getting together for relaxing, playing games, cooking and using minimal energy exertion- we call it the Big Chill. Unfortunately, this year was truly a Big Chill event because we lost a member right before this years event. RIP Jimmy Holley!
The dock area was pretty mossy but we still had someone who fished and caught three small fish (but he put them back). We built an amazing fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the evening listening to music and remembering those that we loved and lost. We played several games and enjoyed several meals at the large dinning area. We played pool but we had to share the only pool stick that had a felt tip. I bet Management might not be aware that the pool sticks have no felt tips. Big Chill members gives this place total thumbs up and would re-rent again in the future. Thank you, Lori (Big Chill Organizer)

It was nice with plenty of room. We wish there would have been better lighting so we could see better to play games and do puzzles. The lake was scummy not appealing for swimming at all.

This is a very remote location on TaneyCoMo. This was perfect for our family get away. There was plenty of room all 13 of us, ranging from 10 - 78. Couple of things to note, the steps are many to the water, and after the steps is a pretty good slope. The water is shallow in this cove, but we were able to get a deck boat in and out and saw several bass boats throughout the week.
The kitchen is very large and very well stocked. I have not been in another VRBO with a complete cabinet full of spices. Plus oil, flour and sugar. All in all we would rent it again.
The low cleanliness rating is due to the floors not being swept or mopped and the dining table not being cleaned. I communicated with the property manager about these things and he responded in a timely manner.

Great for the whole family! We had ages 11-90 in our group and everyone loved our stay here! Plenty of time spent canoeing, fishing off the dock, around the campfire, and at the LARGE dining table that fit all of us! The path down to the campfire and water is a bit challenging for the elderly but that is normal for most lake houses. We definitely appreciated and needed the 2 refrigerators! The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Campfire chairs would be a good improvement. Beautiful view!

We stayed for 5 days at the property which was great! It was spacious and yet had place for us to come together to eat or play games! The property owner was quick to answer questions and was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Exactly as pictured and described. One of the best rental properties we have ever booked both domestic and internationally. Open and spacious floor plan, comfortable beds and fantastic equipped kitchen. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. Weather was the only downside but March is always unpredictable. Still enjoyed going out on deck and down to dock. We would rent this property again and highly recommend to others. Michael always responded to all my questions promptly. Thank you for a wonderful week with family!

Red Elk Lodge was perfect for our family Christmas, complete with lit Christmas tree when we arrive. Quiet and comfortable off the beaten path location.
4.9
Our family totals 10, all ages and everyone was absolutely thrilled with the house and the location! We are already trying to think of the NEXT time we can come and stay there.
The Christmas tree was lovely and the accommodations were great! Just an awesome place to stay no matter what you are planning on doing!

We had 20 people of all ages staying at this lodge, which was full of character and little details. We loved all being able to sit down together for our meals and hang out in the large living room to play games and visit with one another. The stove was so cozy. (Bring your own firewood.)
KITCHEN: The gas range burners are kind of picky, so be prepared for that. Give yourself a little extra time when preparing food on the stovetop just because it may take a bit to get the burners going, and going without the igniter staying on. There are two crockpots that came in very handy! There is an additional fridge not (currently) pictured in the listing. We had plenty of room for all our food. Two coffee makers, two high chairs… they thought of everything. Also - unlike a lot of places- they left a few cabinets empty so you could put all your food in there. There were lots of spices already there and even though coffee filters are not included, there were two opened packages, I assume from previous guests. Bring your own oil/butter/spray for greasing pans.
OUTSIDE: We wanted a secluded location and we got it! The covered deck is great! Even with it being December, the kids loved being out there running around and we had a couple billiard tournaments. The rocking chairs are peaceful and a great place to curl up in a blanket with a hot beverage. The view however, was not as good as I was expecting simply because the water was gross and dirty with stuff all over the top. I don’t know if this is how it always is or if it’s a temporary thing. Bring your own wood for the fire pit. The grill worked great for our hotdogs and steaks. There is plenty of parking for at least 6-8 cars in a gravel area along the driveway.
BED & BATH: The beds were very comfy and we all had plenty of linens and blankets. The curtains are great at blocking out light. The main bathroom downstairs has a pocket door that is hard to open and also no longer locks. Seven of us were using that bathroom, so sometimes we’d leave a water bottle outside the door when we were in there so others would know not to come in. The main bedroom is more elaborate than the pictures show!
Communication with the property owner was great! I had several questions (before and while there) and he was quick to cheerfully respond.
If you stay there, see if you can spot the adorable hummingbird in the lodge.

Wonderful Christmas gathering for a long weekend with our grown children and their children. Beautiful Christmas tree welcomed us into a spacious great room with a fully functional large kitchen. Beautiful view from large deck. Sturdy new dock for fishing. Comfortable king size beds.

Had a great experience at this property!
6 adults & 10 kids ages 4-17.
Property is well equipped and provided a great family atmosphere.
Close to Branson activities but is located away from other properties, quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable and roomy.
Great communication with owner/manager.
Kids said this is their favorite stay in Branson area so far.
Hope to stay again 🙂

We all fit! 11 adults and 4 kids under 4. The lodge was beautiful and all the bedrooms had upscale beds, nice sheets, and excellently equipped kitchen. The dining table is what sold it for me. We would like to come back here over and over. Did I mention, we all fit!

Will stay here again.

Great place for our annual family get together. Five couples, plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, but also a great house for everyone to be together without being cramped! Nice walk to the dock and the water. Outdoor pool table and very roomy deck add to the property. We will hopefully re-book next year!

We loved the layout of the house, being so open and spacious made being with family very enjoyable. We could all be near as we were in kitchen and dining/living areas. Our grandson who is 2 1/2 loved being able to run from one end to the other!!
My favorite place was the deck that looked over the lake! we spent a lot of time on the deck playing pool, reading and just rocking!
Thanks for such a special place to go to. We hope to visit again!!

This was a wonderful place for the 4 generations that we brought together. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing in the cove. We went skiing and tubing on the lake. We all had some great family time playing cards and board games and making meals together. The sight and sound theater was a perfect evening out as well. Great place with plenty of room and wonderfully private.

We had a great stay at the lodge. We had a group of 14, and the lodge was very well stocked and clean. It’s a great place for big groups with adequate seating for meals and sitting and watching television. Loved the pool table! Very quiet and feels private but close to everything! We spent time at Silver Dollar City, Branson, and we rented a pontoon boat and John boat to trout fish. The dock is very nice. There’s no cover but it’s big. While there is a lot of aquatic grass and algae off the dock, and swimming and fishing off of it is not something you will do…if you can rent a boat, use the canoes, or bring your own, Lake Taneycomo has great trout fishing. We caught a lot of rainbow trout and some of us limited out the days we fished. Overall a great stay and definitely recommend!

Absolutely perfect!
Perfect house for our large group of 20, ages 13-72. We used every space to sleep and had room in 3 of the bedrooms for air mattress on the floor. Kitchen fully stocked with 2 fridges! We made full breakfast daily and grilled one night. Had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable! Loved having a washer and dryer. Directions to property were spot on. Owner was wonderful to work with, I emailed several times and he responded almost immediately. We had 6 cars in driveway easily. The canoes were fun, water was mossy so you aren’t going to get in, but still fun. It took us about 10 mins each day to get to Branson Landing, so not that far out. Quiet and peaceful! Can’t recommend the place enough!

Great house in a great location
Our family of 7 adults and 8 kids (ages 1 through 13) had a wonderful time at this house. The kitchen was awesome with two refrigerators and multiple freezers. There was plenty of room to spread out and a large gathering space for meals and games. We would definitely come back if we vacation in this area again.

Great house for a large family gathering.
Beautiful home, very well stocked with towels, pillows, and kitchen items. Renting process was simple, owner answered any questions we had very quickly. The only negative thing I can say is that the floors weren’t well cleaned.

Annual family vacation
The property sits outside the city of Branson in a quiet and secluded wooded section. We enjoyed watching the deer, squirrels and birds (woodpeckers). The fishing dock was so peaceful! The house was fully stocked with cooking essentials (we cooked a birthday cake) and what a surprise it was to be fully stocked with paper essentials and laundry/kitchen detergents. Many bedrooms to allow kiddos to have their own space downstairs. So many things to do in Branson but I wish we would have spent more time at the cabin enjoying the scenery and the fishing dock. We will definitely rent the cabin again when in the Branson area.

Fantastic Family weekend get together!
The property was absolutely perfect for our family of 14 people. Everyone had a great time on the lake and being together inside and outside on the property. Location was close to downtown Branson. Would definitely stay here again!
