This is a beautiful house which has been gorgeously decorated with furniture and objects collected by the owners over the years. The pool and garden area are lovely and immaculately maintained.
We especially loved all the explanations about where everything came from in the house, and also the owners' recommendations for restaurants and activities. We have frequently stayed in St-Remy but we still found some new things from the list!
A special word of thanks goes to Alexandra the property manager who was very helpful when we had questions.

Lovely house in gated neighborhood just outside of center of St Remy. St Remy is a fun, lively town that was an easy walk from the house - which is good because parking is hard.
The pool was a welcome respite after a day of touring. The gardens around the house & pool were beautiful. The only drawback is the pool is very close to the road. The plantings & fence hide the road very well but sometimes the cars sound very close. Luckily the road is not very busy
Overall the Treilles is a wonderful home & I would highly recommend it.

Thank you very much for allowing us to rent your beautiful home for the week. As a designer, I really enjoyed the furnishings that are true to the style of the home and the asiatic and moorish touches throughout. We particularly enjoyed dining in the patio next to the pool! The availability of a washer and dryer proved to be a real life saver although, all it did was make it easier for us to buy more stuff instead of bringing more clothing! I’m sure that my favorite Customs agent will be welcoming me back with open arms. it was an amazing stay. The house reference book was super helpful and Alex was awesome in welcoming us, helping us throughout and checking us out. Other than some sheets to launder, we did our best to leave the home exactly as we found it. Again, thank you for your hospitality.

The house was stunning: a small museum with its art collections. Spotless clean, a beautiful garden, very comfortable. And safe for our dogs with its fenced in garden. We love to return.

the house is managed with a lot of love and care. Maybe not suitable for young children due to all the valuable antiques that are present. One minus, we didn't like the matress of the master bedroom. it was very hard and lumpy. We had a wonderful stay.

This villa on the outskirts of St. Remy was a wonderful venue for our family trip to Provence. The home is only a 10-minute walk from the restaurants and shops of city center St. Remy, one of the most charming villages in France.
The villa is elegant and beautifully decorated with carefully-selected art and furnishings. All 3 air-conditioned bedrooms are large and comfortable and were perfect for me and my wife and our two adult sons. The master bedroom has a ensuite bathroom and the other two bedrooms share a two sink bathroom. Both bathroom's have large stone-tiled showers with rainfall shower fixtures. All rooms are on a single ground floor.
The joint kitchen and living area made cooking dinners and hanging out lots of fun. The kitchen is well-appointed and was perfect for preparing lunch and dinner. We ate all of our meals at an outdoor iron table under an ivy-covered pergola that sits just outside the kitchen and living area.
The attractive pool area is next to the villa, but is separated from the house by tall plantings that give a sense of privacy and separation. We spent afternoons and evenings relaxing and reading in the lounge chairs by the pool.
Finally, the friendly owners and local concierge couldn't have been more helpful both before and during our stay.

Really enjoyed our week at this charming character property, peacefully located in a residential street approx 15 minutes walk from the centre of St Remy. Given the very hot weather, we spent quite a bit of time relaxing by the lovely, well maintained pool in the very pretty grounds. That said, being something of a shopper, I did manage a fair amount of retail in some of the interesting local shops - despite the heat! The Property Manager, Alex, was a star - so check-in and check-out were super easy and she was clearly keen to ensure our stay was a good one.

The property was great. Three sizable bedrooms with A/C units and about a 15-minute walk to town. The house had a nice gathering space. The pool was a nice addition. Overall, we were quite pleased.

what a lovely house and a great kitchen. Just the right distance to town so you can escape for the peace and quiet, but close enough to pop in for dinner
excellent hosts and their new property manager was so, so helpful, kind and punctual

The house is great. However, it was very hot in France and the main living area is not air conditioned. The owners should install ceiling fans or worst case supply two additional floor fans (there is one) for this space. This will make a world of difference.

The good life!
The Villa was very comfortable and the pool was appreciated considering it was 100 degrees plus during our stay! The Villa is conveniently located a short car drive to town and the Wednesday Market was a must for fresh meat, vegetables, produce and flowers. We had Chef Stephane recommended by Alex come to the house and cook a wonderful meal for us. We rented Electric Bikes from Stephane at Alpilles13, toured the City and ran across a wonderful winery named Domaine Milan. The Villa is also located very close to the Bullfighting Arena where you can watch a "Humane" Bullfight on most Tuesday afternoons at 6:00pm. We would love to return sometime and will recommend the Villa to anyone considering a Holidayy in St-Remy.

Excellent St. Remy Rental House
Our family group of four adults (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. It is completely as advertised and is a very special house. The bedrooms are all air-conditioned which was a plus in the recent heat wave. While the other part of the house is not, it has thick stone walls and never got too hot. There is a lovely pool and very private yard, plus multiple shaded areas to eat outside. The kitchen is top-of-the-line and there is an outdoor grill. We ate many meals at the house.
Communications with both the owners and then with their in-France representative were super-easy and prompt. The owners also provide an extensive list of recommendations for restaurants, local markets, etc. Everything you might need for an enjoyable stay is provided, including even a basket for the produce markets. We highly recommend this property for anyone desiring a rental in the St. Remy area, which is very centrally located in Provence. It is about a 20 minute walk to town although we chose to drive in, given the hot weather we experienced. That takes about 5 minutes so quite convenient.

A gem
This property is exactly as presented…a real gem. Just outside of the town of Saint Remy, a short 20 minute walk, it provides a wonderful retreat and lovely place to relax and enjoy Provence. The property manager was on site when we arrived, explained whatever we needed to know and was always responsive . Both inside and outside areas of the home were perfect for morning, afternoon and evening, The pool is perfect. Cleaning crew did an excellent job and provided clean linens every Saturday. Sets a high bar for other VRBO properties. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. In fact, one of our guests area planning to do so! Thank you

A Perfect Villa in St. Remy
This is a very special villa. It has been beautifully renovated, and offers everything for a very nice stay in St. Remy. The villa is fairly unique in that it is tastefully decorated with both local artwork and pieces from other parts of the world. The landscaping is nicely done around the pool, and there is an area shaded by wisteria for dining outside. A 15-20 minute walk brings you to the center of St. Remy. We would stay again without hesitation if we visit St. Remy again.

Charming escape in Provence
The house is beautifully decorated in an artistic Provence style to a high level. Walking distance to St Remy even though not a great road to walk on . St Remy has many of the best restaurants in the area. Great location to tour the area or just to relax by the pool in a quiet neighborhood . Comfortable beds and fully appointed. Pictures are accurate. The owners love for their house is clear to see.

A perfect week
We had a blissful week at the house in St Remy de Provence. It has been beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The outside space is equally as beautiful and provided everything we needed for the week. Great location for the centre of St Remy and also for heading off on outings around the area. Would definitely recommend it.

St. Remy bliss
We loved staying at our beautiful mas, right outside of St. Remy which was filled with lovingly collected antiques and a fabulous tile floor. There were a couple of outside verandas woth our favorite under the wisteria arbor near the pool. Our hosts did a beautiful job of renovating the living room too as all was light-filled woth supplies et al easily found. Cornelius and Willie were there to help also with any questions we had re: the tv et al. Restaurant recommendations abounded and we had a fabulous stay.

Delightful
A perfect property! The grounds are fabulous (I had great difficulty tearing myself away from the pool!), the living areas charming and beautifully decorated, and the neighborhood removed from St Remy just enough to provide calm and yet close enough to allow for easy access. Dealings with the owners and the manager couldn't have gone more smoothly. I look forward to returning as soon as possible!

beautiful house in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
This is a spectacular house, with beautiful attention to all details, from the custom made window frames to the original artwork by Jean Cocteau, to the gorgeous garden, trees, plants, flowers, and fig tree. The house seems to have been a former farm house but the owners' renovation connected the farmhouse, which now includes 2 bedrooms, two baths, and a laundry room, with the barn area, which has been turned into a spacious living room and kitchen. There are tables on the side of the house and in a space between the house and the pool, so that you can catch the sunrays in the early morning at the first and move to the larger table later in the day, under the wisteria vines. Finally there is the pool itself, a nice, deep one, with clear water being pumped in continously. The house is meticulously maintained by the wonderful guardian/house manager. An all together perfect place in a small but cosmopolitan town in Provence. Highly recommended!

Easter at Les Treilles, Saint-Rémy de Provence
The property was exactly as described and perfect for our brief stay in Saint-Rémy during Easter break, 2019. The garden was nearly in full bloom - the wisteria on «Les Treilles» and the Iris beds around the house as well as the rosemary hedges. (We braved the pool, in fact - a bit early in the Season in Provence for swimming but the sun was warm.)
I am very happy to recommend this property which is located in a quiet residential area within 20 minutes walking distance from the village. It is very well-equipped, well-outfitted, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable.
A must-see while in the area is Les Carrières des Lumières in les Baux de Provence nearby, but(!) make reservations and plan for the traffic and lack of parking. The exhibitions are well worth the effort it takes to see them.
I look forward to returning. (The property manager, Cornelius, was very helpful.)

Beautiful home, perfect location
This was a great home for a Provençal vacation. The location is perfect, it’s just out of town so nice and quiet, but an easy 15 minute walk in to town. There are wineries within a few minutes bike or drive.
The hosts are very hospitable and offer great resources for local food options. The on site manager stocked a small arrival grocery list for us, but did charge 60 euro to do so!
The area is perfect as a for kick off point for day trips to other local towns and St Rémy is lovely.
I’f i were going to offer a critique it would be that, if you happen to be there when it’s rainy or are planning to have mornings or evenings at home, there isn’t a lot of indoor entertaining space. The dining room table was a bit crowded with 5 people (we did a home chef so ate in one night) and in the living room there is a couch that is comfy, but some uncomfortable accent chairs. Since it was rainy we spent mornings at home reading and sipping coffee, and we wished for a bit more cozy indoor seating. Not an issue if you don’t anticipate any home leisure time, but for us that’s part of the reason to have a lovely home. Also, the mattresses would benefit from a new mattress pad. We could feel the springs.
These are pretty minor issues and overall we loved the home and would totally go back!! It’s lovely

Charming, peaceful, private
A charming villa in a charming town. Just the place to unwind after a day exploring Provence. The home is perfectly situated to explore the area, and we loved relaxing by the pool while our children splashed about. Very private too with its tall hedge surrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Charming villa right outside St. Remy de Provence
This villa was a perfect fit for our family of four and served as a home away from home for our week's stay. Can't say enough about the owners who actively communicated with us prior to our trip and were very helpful with recommendations etc. House is charming and filled with local antiques and very adequately equipped especially the kitchen. Villa is a mile away from the picturesque town of St. Remy (one hour from Marseille airport) and a great location to explore all that the surrounding area has to offer. Cornelius the property manager was there to greet us and show the workings of the house and was quick to respond to any questions that we had during our stay. Very clear to us that the owners are proud of their home and want to make sure that everyone who visits has a positive experience. Really appreciated the "box" of maps/tour books that was available for our use and that the kitchen had condiments like foil/dish soap/laundry detergent etc that we replenished as needed. Left with a big smile on my face knowing that many fond memories were created during our stay.

Tranquil Oasis
We loved everything about this house and it was everything we hoped. It's location is so convenient to the center of town. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The house is very spacious with lots of room both inside and out to relax and unwind. The attention to details in the decoration and furnishings was greatly appreciated and the house itself is stocked with everything you could need or want to cook a fabulous meal. The house manager was attentive and available to us for all of our needs. I would recommend this house to any group traveling to beautiful Provence!

"Exquisite provencal home walking distance to downtown"
We absolutely loved this house. The design is beautiful, it is airy and full of light and windows, decorated with antiques, every piece of furniture is chosen to contribute to the French ambiance. We rented bikes in passion vélo, cycled through the country side (drivers are very respectul), we walked to Saint Rémy every morning to buy fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. The garden is as charming as the house. We recommend this house to travellers interested in enjoying authentic comfortable lodgings close to village center, either interested in travelling and getting to know the area, playing golf, writing a book, or relaxing in the villa and taking leisurely promenades to town. Thank you Frank for having created such a paradise!

Perfect In Every Way
Our party of two adult couples recently spent a week in this charming home and were 100 percent satisfied. This is our third St. Remy-de-Provence area home that we've rented, and it was definitely our favorite.
The house is a beautifully-converted stone building which preserves the old-world charm, but also has been updated with modern amenities, including gourmet kitchen appliances, a clothes washer (and dryer!), and air conditioning in the bedrooms, which allowed our group to sleep soundly and comfortably. The country French decor is just right, and we felt as if we were invited guests rather than being in a rental property, as the furnishings and artwork were beautiful. The owners provided ample storage for all our clothing.
The garden and pool were very private and well maintained. We spent most of our free time swimming, or relaxing in one of several well-shaded areas. Cooking at home was easy and enjoyable, and all meals were eaten outside at one of the two outdoor tables. We actually ended up sacrificing several car excursions in order to spend additional time at the house.
The location of the house was just outside St. Remy's center. It was a 15-20 minute walk to town, where parking is often a challenge. We discovered a slightly longer walk to town along a quiet canal which avoids any busy traffic.
We wish we could have stayed longer, and definitely hope the house will still be available for our next trip to St. Remy.

My Week in Provence
A friend and I spent a week in April in this very pretty, roomy and well-decorated villa. It is much more attractive when you are physically there than the pictures you see on the internet. It is a beautiful place, very clean, with all the amenities you need and it is on a quiet street. The trip to town is a very short one but a car is recommended as the street going into town is sometimes busy and there is no sidewalk except when you are almost there.
We flew to Paris and spent a few nights there before taking a train to Avignon and renting the car. I would get a GPS if you are not familiar with the area. We did not have one and got lost a few times. The French we asked for help with directions were very nice even though we didn't know the language and most of them didn't know English. A few times they helped by drawing pictures for us!
The owner of the Villa (Frank) was very helpful when we were planning the trip. The book in the house gives recommendations for restaurants and other places to see. Every restaurant in St. Remy we visited was very good. One day we drove to the architectural site and museum at Glanum, just a few miles away, Another day we drove to Chateauneuf du Pape in the Rhone wine region about an hour away. It is a beautiful village and well worth the drive. Another place to visit that is close by is Les Baux in the Alpilles mountains. I suggest you go early one week day because it can get very crowded and parking is limited. We also saw the Pont du Gard which is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge new Remoulins. It is a magnificent site. An important day to know about is St. Remy market day on Wednesday -- not to be missed!
Be sure to read the book in the house on the history of the villa and the information on where the owners purchased the artwork, furniture and decorative pieces. They are from all over the world.
I have recommended this property to some of my friends who are always looking for VRBO properties. I look forward to returning some day!

A charming place that makes you feel right at home
The owners of this wonderfully old, renovated house have clearly thought of everything to make one's stay in Provence just perfect. The house was nicely decorated and comfortable, with many places to sit and spend any down time you may have while not visiting Provence's many charming villages and towns. The outside is delightfully landscaped so, weather permitting (i.e. no Mistral); it's great to sit out by the pool or until the vine-covered terrace to relax. Same is true inside the sun-lit living room. And the kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking--and eating. And the three bedrooms are spacious and nicely separated, making it an easy place for three couples to stay without running over each other all the time.
It's definitely a place we'd stay again...and St. Remy is a lovely, lively town to make a base to explore many parts of Provence. Not to be missed there is its Weds. market and Joel Durand's chocolate shop--as well as St. Paul Asylum where Van Gogh stayed (make sure to go through the gift shop up the stairs to see his room; some friends missed that, alas).
The house is about a 20 minute walk from town and the shortest route is on a busy road with little room for pedestrians, so a car is helpful (especially for a quick morning trip to buy croissants at the local boulangerie!).

Keeps getting better...
Each time(since 2006) we visit this lovely house in St. Remy it just gets better. The comfort and esthetics remain exceptional and the location superb. It is centrally located to all the attractions of Provence and of course the charming town of St. Remy with all it's historical and cultural offerings.
I love opening my window and shutters every morning to the beautiful light and garden no matter what the season. This is the perfect indoor outdoor house with two areas to eat outside (I love one for breakfast and the other by the pool for lunches and dinners).
This brings me to the kitchen a wonderful place to cook up the lovely food from the village farmer's market and indulge in the local fare. If you are not in the mood to cook there are several great restaurants in St. Remy and nearby villages. The house has a great book of places to help you choose one for dinner.
I love this house, the food, the town and the people who are always so great. The best vacation rental
for all the right reasons. The owners have thought of everything!
Most favorite thing is coming back to this home base and relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
Can't wait to go back again.

lovely villa
We have rented many homes in both France and Italy and this was by far the best. We spent two weeks in this lovely home and wished we could have stayed longer. It is located within walking distance to a charming town with great restaurants and shops and also close enough for many day trips. We spent one whole day roaming around the wine area of Chateauneuf de Pape, sampling and speaking to the lovely peopel at the vineyards. The house was very well equipped, both indoor and out by the pool. It was a very relaxing holiday, one day a road trip and the next relaxing by the pool. The owner couldn,t have been more helpful with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. Thanks so much for a memorable special birthday. Doris and Tony Connecticut 2011

A luxurious escape
I have been coming to the house in St, Remy for many years. It is a time to rest, relax, and absorb the history that is unique to Provence and the surrounding area for me. It is also my special time of the year that has produced memorable, wonderful memories and friendships that will last for years to come. Try it, only once and you will be hooked; it is a place to build on the history, the community, and the culinary delights. I never cease to be amazed and comforted by my experience; year after year!
The home is a luxurious experience down to the smallest detail.

C'est Magnifique!
The Home:
My husband and I and another couple rented this home the first week of August and it was wonderful. We are very big on food so the open kitchen and dining areas were great. We invited a French chef to the home and had a wonderful cooking lesson.
The pool is great - though smaller than the pools in the US, which is to be expected. There were great pool chairs and pool-friendly serving ware (i.e. plastic).
The house was very well-stocked - extra pillows, towels, sheets, a washer/dryer, outdoor seating for dining, a great pool area, soap, spices in the kitchen, books to read, travel books, magazines, etc.
Perhaps the best part of the home is that it felt so much like a home, and in fact a very well-decorated home. The furniture and decor was well-picked and very tasteful. (In fact, their home was nicer than our apartment in San Franicsco!)
I've rented many, many homes on VRBO and this was one of the top two homes I've rented in terms of exceeding my expectations based on the posting. It was very nice, very clean, remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, and very comfortable. It really was a luxury villa.
The Location:
We had a very perfect week at this home and the proximity to the town, St. Remy, was perfect. It made for a great home base to explore Provence. Please note - you will definitely need a car. We flew into Paris, took the train to Marseilles and toodled around for a few days before driving to St. Remy. You can train into Avignon and rent a car there - very easy.
I should mention: the owners of the home and the guardian were extremely helpful when we were planning our trip. They had restaurant recommendations, ideas for excursious, knew of bike rental places and recommended the chef that came to the home for our cooking lesson. They certainly know the area very well.
I could not recommend this house more and we will definitely be back! Soon, I hope!
