About this house rental

With only 150 steps to the Gulf's azure sea and newly replenished sandy beach, you will reset and restore your soul. Your vacation will be all about relaxation and being grateful for the day.

This beautiful island home features a resort style floor plan. It has a main building with master bedroom, en suite (double sink) bath, a loft style bedroom, a second bath (with shower), fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. Across the lanai (pool area), you will find another buliding with the second master bedroom & en suite bath.

Although the lovely beaches and nearby attractions are a very strong draw, you may decide to spend your time thoroughly enjoying the comfort of this inviting home. Its' high ceilings & feeling of spaciousness, the refreshing crystal clear heated pool and just about every creature comfort will put you at ease and possibly convince you to remain at the house for the day and consider the next day 'a beach day.'

Why Manasota Key? Being from Rhode Island, the ocean state, my family and I have come to develop the need to be near the water. We had heard about Englewood through a friend and decided to look into this place that was described as being 'Old Florida.' The thought of finding an ideal place to vacation and eventually reside was enticing. After just one visit, we knew this island was what we'd been looking for for years. The beautiful, unspoiled surroundings and very friendly locals all played a part in our decision to become Gulf residents.

It didn't take long before we found this beautiful house close to the Gulf waters in March of 2011. This home has a feeling to it that needs to be experienced to understand. If a house could have a heart and soul, you would want this house to be your best friend. I hope you find the time to come to the beach and relax.

Our family absolutely loved this gem of a house in Manasota Key. Perfect location just steps from a rather secluded beach. Loved having a pool we didn't have to share with other guests like when staying in a condo/hotel. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. And several bikes that we utilized on the bike path. Amazing week and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

We had a lot of fun. Short walk to beach. Great house. Kids loved the pool. Had some issues with pool and the owner was very responsive and took care of the issue as quickly as possible. Location is ideal for those interested in checking out other beaches like Manasota, Stumps Pass, Caspersen and more.

Nancy was an amazing host, extremely quick to respond to any questions and very kind and hospitable! The home is great for a family vacation with the option to be in separate quarters. They have so many items in the garage such as bikes, floaties, and beach toys. This is the first rental we've stayed in that truly had a stocked kitchen! All the spices and essentials you need! We spent most of our time in the pool and by the time we left it felt like home. Looking forward to staying again :)

This property was perfect for our family of six. My parents stayed in the room off the pool, we stayed in the room off the pool in the main house and my two adult kids stayed in the loft. We mostly hung out by the pool or at the beach all week. It was clean and convenient for our needs. Nancy was great with communication and we had everything we needed at the house.

This was our second time staying at the beautiful home. The house is well stocked in the kitchen, linen closet, and bathroom medicine cabinet. Communication was great with Nancy! You can tell she really cares about your stay being perfect and you being comfortable. The location of this house is so convenient! Very short walk to private beach which was never even close to being busy and close to restaurants on the key. We will definitely stay again!

Had a great time hanging out with cousins one of which we didn’t know about her, found her on ancestry ❣️She is awesome, and just like the rest of us❣️Also had a dinner with a few friends from school in Venice where we all grew up‼️The rental was the perfect place and got a lot of compliments on the house. The house was perfect for our family! The location could not have been better, quiet street, truly only 150 steps to the beach (I counted), and only minutes to the grocery store. The kitchen was well stocked and as clean as could be. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms large. The pool area was amazing! Nancy was a wonderful host!

We had a lovely relaxing vacation! The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and the location is a very short walk to the beach. What a perk to have a private pool located in the middle of the home with a spacious lanai surrounding. Perfect for just the kind of outdoor living we expect on vacation. We vacationed at Nancy’s home the first two weeks in December. Home was well stocked with towels, kitchen, pool and beach needs. Nancy was wonderful and responsive leading up to and during our stay. It was perfect for two couples and each having common space as well as own bed with en-suite bath. Home is in perfect location, quiet neighborhood which we prefer and met all our needs! Enjoyed our stay. Pool area was great - blocked any wind and was a perfect place to relax - in or out of the pool. Kitchen had everything needed to cook in if one chose to do so. Very short walk to the beach - found quite a few shark teeth right in that area and saw a few dolphins swim by. Met Nancy during our second week as she was dropping off brand new bikes for guests to use. Very quiet neighborhood while we were there for the 2 weeks. Nancy was very responsive and easy to work with. Hoping to book again next year.

Our family has rented this property the past 2 years and this trip was just as great as the previous year. The house is kept immaculately clean and the neighborhood is extremely quiet. With just a few steps away from the gulf the location can't be beat! While we have never had to contact the owner, from the detailed check in instructions and the information left at the home along with other reviews I'm confident any concerns would be handled promptly. As always, we loved staying at the house and look forward to when we can return to the area again!

We have been vacationing in Manesota key for 5 years. This was by far the BEST ever! The past 4 years we always stayed at the Wannabe inn but they sold after the hurricane in 2022, so this was our first vacation using a VRBO or anything like it, we were nerveous, but the App was very easy and the owner of the home Nancy was amazing!! She answered every email and phone call same day and was very kind and patient even if i asked questions twice! Her home is a perfect paradise for our family, rooms fit our family perfect and everything we needed was succinct! The pool was my favorite! I hope to revisit this VRBO dream home again!!!

This house was perfect for our family of 5: Big enough but still cozy, comfortable beds/accommodations, and it has an ideal pool area that is completely isolated from neighbors with abundant sun exposure for much of the day. Very clean, well-maintained. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. There is a main house with an en suite queen bedroom and loft office with two twin beds, and then a one-bedroom guest house/king suite across the pool area. We were a little skeptical of the dual-house layout at first, but it turned out to be just fine, and actually adds to the charm of the property. Great location: a few minutes in the car to restaurants, and a few minutes’ walk to the beach, which is fairly quiet in this particular part of Manasota Key. Nancy was available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. (Great host!) We would absolutely stay here again.

Just steps away from a quiet beach. The house was nice, well maintained. The layout is different but worked for us, lots of space. There is a pool house also with a bedroom and bathroom. Main house has a living area with a loft and nice size kitchen. You so have to go through the bedroom or outside to get to the main bathroom. A bit of an issue only at night. 2 bathrooms in the main house. The main bed was very comfortable and everything was clean Everything you need to cook is there, laundry on sight. Beach chairs, pool toys, and such are available to use. Quiet neighborhood. Pool was great we paid to have it heated. Great communications with Nancy, was very responsive. It is a great price for being so close to the beach. Wish I could share pictures! Already planning my trip back.

Nancy was a great communicator. The house was clean and pool was nice if you paid the additional for heating. The loft had steep steps and my kids did not want to stay up there, so they stayed in the main house and my husband and I were across the pool in the other room. I didn’t love the separation, but my fault for not understanding the layout of the house. There were many keys and doors to worry about locking, which was not convenient. There was no soap, shampoo, laundry detergent and one roll of toilet paper, so remember to bring those. The walk to the beach was easy, and the mostly private beach was beautiful, as always on Manasota Key!

Nancy's house was wonderful as always. Unfortunately, our trip was severely shortened by the hurricane. I recommend purchasing trip insurance, we have never needed it so we did not. The two days we did get to spend there were lovely and our prayers have been and are still with the people of Florida for recovery. I don't know what damage the key received, but if all is well at this property and once Florida is ready for visitors again I highly recommend this rental.
