Very nice place with top of the line kitchen equipment. Nice walking path right on property which abuts State Park. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. I might come back with my extended family.

Cute cottage that could use a little up-grade. The furniture was outdoor living style, it’s nice for the sunroom but the “living room needs a comfortable couch and chair. The dining table could be a bit more substantial. And the AC unit in the master bedroom was noisy.
Ideas for shade on the deck…a well placed tree could do wonders!
All in all we enjoyed our stay!

Lake living
This is a lovely place to spend time. The cottage faces the lake and the sunsets are amazing. It is quiet and peaceful, and there is easy access to the State Park at the end of the street. The cottage is well equipped and the owner is responsive and helpful. We plan to return, just thinking about the peace and quiet will help us get through the rest of the summer.

Awesome Cabins
My wife and I enjoyed the location because it is not to far from so many attractions in many different directions. Restaurants, little farm stands, convenient stores, NY state, Boarder crossing into Canada etc." We had a wonderful time biking, and then relaxing on the deck which overlooks lake Champlain. Just so Peaceful.
Thank you Dave for your awesome hospitality.

Perfect nature escape
We stayed here for about a week and were very happy with the property - well maintained, good amenities and excellent information provided by the host regarding check-in/check-out and activities around town. Good views of the sunset from your front deck and wifi which worked well. This property is great if you want to be away from the hustle of big towns and close proximity to upstate NY or Canada. Short drive to many of the trails and sand dunes.

A Great Place
My mother and I were in the Islands for a wedding, I chose #7 cottage due to the walk in shower for my mom. The cabin was very spacious and easily accommodated her walker. There were spectacular sunsets during our stay and at night the fireflies came out. Hadn't seen them in years. I will definitely recommended it to others.

Wonderful experience at pristine lakeside cabin in Alburg, Vermont. Owner David could not have been nicer and very prompt with any questions I might have had. Cabin was new and modern with all amenities and spotlessly clean. A 2 bedroom cottage with a lovely indoor sitting area with full lake views. There is also a wooden deck outside cabin with Adirondack chairs for viewing outside if the bugs are not biting. The cabin sits in the front row of a small group of cabins just across a narrow rode from the lake. The owner lives in the red house at the far end so he is close by is there are any concerns text him.We also had access to a tandom kayak and rowboat which is available to all guests staying at properties during the summer season. Life vests are provided. Lovely shale beach area just before red house accessed by steep wooden staircase. Boats are by shore in season. Ares is known for ancient fossils so check and you may get lucky like we did. Alburg Stare Park is about a mile away and has a nice swimming area and also great place for photos around rocks or on neighboring small cliff area. We were also there on a very windy day and the lake was quite dramatic to see. Lake was clean and nice for swimming when things calmed down. Lots of fun stores and restaurants in area to explore. Harborside Market small local place for meat or eggs and basic things. Overall a great stay we would have extended our stay for a day but we had other stops planned before we headed home. Too bad Canada was closed or we would have taken a side trip to Montreal a short drive away. Burlington is about 1 hour south and a great day trip. Lots of walking by the bike Causeway in Burlington and waterfront area with fabulous lake views on both sides a must if in the area. Overall a great stay conveniently located to a number of places for day trips and wonderful lake tranquility. Would easily go again.

Experience lake living
Thank you David and Lucy for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage #7. It was clean and comfy - perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Putting our dog Saylor’s bed in the front room, she even felt at home! The lake was beautiful, and we made sure to catch the sunset every night! Boating on the lake was wonderful - it was like having the water to ourselves! That’ll change once COVID is behind us all! Being early birds, we saw a red fox run by one early morning And several bald eagles flew low over the lake giving us opportunity to witness their beauty. Perfect getaway for relaxing.

Lovely, clean cottage with excellent location and views
This cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It has a convenient location with excellent views, and very clean and updated conditions, which were all perfect for our needs. The cottage also had lake access. It was the perfect island retreat.

Beautiful spot BUT...
The pictures were beautiful but we were surprised on on 50 foot drop to the shale beach. Having had two knee replacements in the past year, the steep stairs were a challenge. We were also very surprised as to the traffic, being the only road leading to The Dunes. It was constant. The place was clean with beautiful sunsets. Great for bikers.

Great stay in Vermont!
I can't say enough... this is a great place to enjoy the lake and nearby beach! It is a lovely updated cottage to hang out with family and it's right on the lake! It's also very close to the Canadian border so if it's open (it wasn't when we were there), you are in luck for a day trip!

Excellent quality cottage
Cottage had great views of Lake Champaign. Cottage was well designed. All furniture was large and high quality, which was was super nice for me as I am a tall person who often gets uncomfortable sitting in chairs. There was a cottage-guest only stony beach a 2 minute walk away, and a state park with a large sandy beak a 5-8 min drive away (Alburgh Dunes State Park). The only issue I had during my stay, was that the wifi would drop every 40 minutes or so. This made it hard for me to work remotely and do video calls. I tried tethering my phone and using 4G. I think this may have fixed my internet-dropping problem that I had with the wifi, but because of the only-2-bar cell phone signal, my internet was pretty slow.

Lovely Cottage on Lake Champlain. Great Property Manager.
The cottage was beautiful (especially the kitchen and porch) and had all the amenities we wanted. It felt like home. It couldn’t have been a more relaxing setting. David was there when we arrived and pointed out area attractions and restaurants and what we needed to know about the cottage. There was also a binder provided which contained loads of information.

Peaceful stay
We stayed at David’s cabin for a week (family of four plus dog). The description of the property was very accurate. Communication with David prior to our stay and during the stay was very smooth. Cabin location was perfect for a quite vacation. The house was clean and had all necessities one would require away from home.
The house is about a mile from the Alburgh dunes state park and the walk to the park in the morning and evening was perfect. The beach at the park is perfect for a family with young kids. David also had a canoe and kayak available for guests use which was very convenient. We loved our stay at this house and would definitely return back in the future.

Lovely cottage
The property owner/manager made the check-in and stay easy and enjoyable. He was responsive and bought a new blue-ray player when we rented a movie, but couldn’t watch it because the remote was lost and the disc wouldn’t play from the blue-ray player that was there. The neighborhood is nice and accessible to all the other neighboring towns. I loved the location and the view was amazing, but my husband said he would have preferred more privacy and being closer to the lake (the property is across the street and we knew that when we rented). The place was clean and linens and towels were very nice. We had some trouble with bugs getting in at night, but that is just a factor of the time of year and the location. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Week at Isle View Cottages #7
My wife, 7 yr old son, dog and I had a great week at #7. Cottage was perfect size for small family, clean, well equipped. Nice size flat yard for kid and dog play. Wonderful sunsets from the front room, deck or dock. The access road between the cottage and lake is lightly used and was a non-issue.
The location is convenient to many partial day trips. Burlington, St. Albans, Stowe, Ben and Jerry's, Ausable Chasm, etc. We had contingency plans for several of these but we enjoyed the local fishing, boating, dock, beaches and only went to the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Studies in Burlington and then had dinner. We hit Ben and Jerry's on the trip home.
The channel between Alburgh and Isle La Motte provided excellent fishing. Caught many largemouth and smallmouth in the 2 lb range and a few 4+ lb smallmouth on both sides of the channel. My son caught all the Perch and Bluegill he could handle and even tangled with a few good smallmouth that got away on his ultra light tackle.
Waterfront was great. Gradual slope made it easy for kid and dog play. On hot days the dock area is shaded until almost 10AM. Gas and supplies all within easy driving distance. Several restaurants have docks making an easy boat ride for dinner out.
Alburgh Sand Dunes State Park was great for swimming and beach play and even allows boats to pull up east of the swimming area with access to the beach. Day fees are very reasonable. Beach was very clean and well appointed with picnic tables and changing areas.
David was extremely responsive to all communications and he and his wife Lucy we're wonderful hosts. Looking forward to going back again and seeing the continuous improvement.
No place is perfect so here's my negative. Took me a day or two to get used to mooring my 19 ft Deep V boat instead of putting it on a lift at the dock. Dingy was adequate to get back and forth once I figured out to kneel up front with a single paddle. As David completes more cottages the single shared dock and single mooring could be a limitation as more than one boat on the property would be problematic. There are free launches close by but only one (10 minutes away on east side of Alburgh) has a dock to tie off to if launching by yourself. The other launches do support beaching smaller/lighter boats while parking vehicle and trailer... this wasn't an option for me given the size/weight of my boat.
Overall we had an excellent experience and look forward to returning. 4.8 of 5

Rural and on the Water
The view is terrific... but, it'd be nice if there were more blinds/curtains and darker ones. The light off the water would wake me at 4:30 am coming all the way through the house when I left bedroom door open for a cross breeze. It's a peaceful place. Water access is a short walk away and dock not really in use when I walked down. The road up to the park is a nice walk. Park was closed for flooding while we were there. Better pans and some kayaks would be a big plus. However, it's a very solid place in a nice locale at a decent price.

Nice Quiet Place
This will be the second time I’ve stayed here and I will probably do it again next year. The check in process is easy and the place is quite and clean. We just spent the past 4 days fishing around Lake Champlain. The location is within 2 miles of a boat ramp and if you expand your drive to 15 miles there are 5 different ramps I’m aware of. The location makes hopping around the lake to different fishing locations a breeze.
