About this house rental
This is undeniably the only vacation rental of its kind on the Upper Rogue River, a true gem! Situated on1.5 acres with beautiful Rogue River frontage, this gorgeous home was recently remodeled with the vacationer in mind. 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 2,740 square feet, there’s ample room for all your family and friends to enjoy! The main level offers an open layout, custom kitchen with large island and two sinks, abundant windows, natural light and beautiful river views. This level has a full master suite plus 2nd bedroom and 2nd full bath. A huge deck spans the whole length of the home; it’s the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine, BBQ, or simply enjoy the river as it meanders by. Downstairs is designed for another layer of entertainment and to enhance the usability of the home: a kitchenette/wet bar to use as desired, 2nd living room, game room, 3 additional bedrooms, full bath and laundry. Of course the home is also equipped with high speed internet, WiFi and satellite TV. The home easily sleeps 10 and the versatile floor plan is perfect for small gatherings, large groups or multiple families. Once outside you won’t want to leave. The huge yard is perfect for games and the splendor of the river makes an unbeatable backdrop for this outdoor oasis. Whether you’re fishing for salmon and steelhead, taking a day trip to Crater Lake, enjoying one of the dozens of local wineries or taking in a show at the Britt Festival or Shakespeare Theatre, there’s no better place to call home while you explore all that Southern Oregon has to offer!

We thoroughly enjoyed this home, especially the beautiful view of the river. The great room has a wall of windows, the back deck is roomy, and the kitchen is nicely updated and has tons of counter space including a large island. Perfect for a family gathering. Clean, comfortable, plenty of room.
Only two things to mention that weren’t perfect:
The water pressure was very low. Don’t know if that is typical or not. Also, 2 downstairs bedrooms are connected with a pocket door, and one bedroom does not have a window. Both rooms have individual hallway egress. For sleeping, they are fine, just small and basic.

We had 3 generations joining up for a week on the river. The house accommodated all of our needs very well. When the older folks were ready for bed upstairs, the kids went downstairs and played games and watched movies. We used the BBQ and ate out on the deck, played Mexican Train dominoes at the dining room table and simply enjoyed our time together! The house is great!

We had an easy check in and nice stay! It was so peaceful sitting on the deck watching the river, geese, turkey and deer. And the kitchen has every dish and utensil you could need! We really appreciate that! It does have plenty of space to socialize! The water pressure is very low (and it seemed to have air in the lines). Main downside was the neighbors smoke all the time (they even have their own plants) and the landmines the geese leave in the yard that aren't cleaned up at all. Makes it hard to walk to the river. Beautiful stay overall!

We recently stayed at Shady Cove and really loved our experience. The location is breathtakingly beautiful and waking up to the beautiful river and lush green views was stunning. The house was very well stocked and everything in the kitchen was labeled which was also great. Plenty of towels if you know they're in the hall closet! My only negative is that for the price point, I would expect more comfortable beds and hotel-style linens. But this was definitely not a deal breaker. We loved the ample seating on the deck and enjoyed all of our meals out there. Every night there would be deer in our front yard and our kids loved chasing the geese and wading in the river. From here we visited family in Medford, did a boat tour in Grants Pass and visited Crater Lake. Perfect location and can't wait to come back!

We loved staying along the Rogue river. You can see the river from the upstairs kitchen and living room. The kitchen had all the basics. We bought food at Costco and Fred Meyer before arriving. Alcoholic beverages at a liquor store.
The deck was a lovely place to hang out and eat dinner. We also played cards at the dining room table.
The long grassy yard to the river was visited frequently by deer.
We did two river trips. The first one above the house and the second one we floated passed the house.
Eagle Point was nearby for 4th of July parade and activities & indoor pickleball.
We also played pickleball in Ashland in a park along the creek.

Beautiful and peaceful riverfront house
Our extended family of 9 had a great time. We managed to jet boat in Grants Pass, go wine tasting in the Applegate Valley, raft down the Rogue, go zip lining, and visit Crater Lake. Unfortunately Covid cancelled our Shakespeare Festival Play.
The house is incredibly spacious and well stocked. We loved eating meals on the back deck watching the river. Enjoyed the deer wandering through the yard. Everyone loved the house and I imagine we will be looking at staying here again next Summer.

Family snow time
Great house for our family and friends, approximately 6 adult and 2 kids. It was our headquarters for traveling up to the sno-parks to play during the day. A great warm place to return to in afternoon when cold. Had all the amenities, plenty of room/beds and nice view unto itself. Can’t wait to return, highly recommended.

This house was perfect for our book club retreat. It was close enough to conveniences, yet felt so private and relaxing. The view of the river with Canadian geese flying past was gorgeous. Amazing views
We stayed at this property with six adults and three small children. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely! The entire downstairs was used by my daughter and her family with the small children due to the quantity of bedrooms downstairs. The views are to die for. We saw wildlife every day and even got to see a full moon rising over the mountain tops. Definitely a great property for larger groups. Great Place to Stay
We had three families up here and had a great time. Even on the hottest weekend on record (115F). Thankfully the place was ice cold when we got here. The hosts were super fast to respond to our questions and the place was fabulous. The classic Crater Lake and Fly Fishing and Jet Boat excursions are not to be missed. We’ll be back for sure.

Serene riverfront stay
We were a group of three couples and had plenty of room to enjoy a relaxing time in the house and outside. It took us a day or two to find the beach chairs, but once we found those, we spent as much time as possible at the river's edge. We enjoyed the daily visits from the geese and their goslings and the drift boats. We booked the house in the midst of COVID with the idea we would use the two kitchen areas, but at this point everyone was vaccinated in our group and we barely used the downstairs kitchen. Lovely, comfortable and best view in Shady Cove. I especially appreciated the owner's prompt response to our questions prior to the trip. Would definitely recommend this home.

Beutiful home in a great location
We spent time with family in this spacious home- it is more like two homes, one upstairs and one down stairs, with 2 kitchens- it allowed everyone to have space and privacy. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It was amazing to have the river in the backyard; we spent many happy hours in the backyard fishing. Very close to other great fishing spots as well. My husband was able to catch a 12lb steel-head from shore, and we baked it that night at the house. It was the perfect dinner for a perfect day! The beds were very comfortable, and the kids loved the ping pong table. Hoping to return one day.

Enjoy wild life and tranquility
Are you looking for a big property for your family to enjoy wild life and tranquility? This is the place for you! WOW. My family loved the layout of the house - plenty of room for all 1 year old to 60 years old. The view from the deck is just out of this world gorgeous. The kids enjoyed watching deer every morning/evening on the lawn. Plenty of beds, large kitchens (yes 2 of them), large dining table and all that we needed.
To be honest the cellular reception is OK and data network/WI-FI access is average or slow. Not strong enough for others to be on it while you need to work/get on zoom calls. I was remoting in for 2 days with zoom calls and Microsoft teams video calls and it did not work half the time. I did have a few panic attacks but got thru it. I want to mention this because many folks are opting to work remotely these days from house rentals. We would definitely stay here again but I would not remote in for work and just enjoy life.
