Proximity to river.
Friendliness of owner.

Beautiful and quiet
Parking a little difficult in xl truck but pretty standard

No breakfast included.
4.0
The location, room cleanliness and decor of the room.
Only white venetian blinds covering the window, no dark curtains or drapes. The room had too much light coming into the room after dark; I need a very dark room to sleep well.

The staff was exceptional.
Shower head was so low that tall people have to bend over to shampoo hair, etc.

Great location on the river and the room with river view was great.
It’s a bit outdated and the bathroom is very small. Overall great short term stay.

I loved staying right on the river. I would come here again. It was one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed.
I would have preferred to have the counter space rather than a microwave. There really is no space to put one's toiletries. Or, how about a small shelf underneath the mirror opposite the sink? One could put one's makeup on using a small shelf or table there.

Shady Cove is beautiful. The grounds of the hotel were nice.
I didn’t get my room cleaned. I wasn’t told at the beginning of my stay that the room is only cleaned on request. Even when I went to get a few things to refill(Sunday), nothing was said. And when I did ask the cleaning lady on Monday, “Do you only clean the rooms upon checkout?” She stated “of course not mam.” Tuesday evening I inquired by actually stating “my room has not been cleaned.” Did the manager state “only upon request “. Now, she did state then they could clean my room on Wednesday. But I was checking out on Thursday so I didn’t see the point. I did not leave a tip for the cleaning lady even though there was an envelope for her excellent attention to the cleanliness of my room. I will ask from now on especially if I am staying 6 nights.

We loved the cozy, cabiny environment. I picked a room on the river, with a porch! We sat and watched the river flow by and we listened to the peaceful sounds of water and birds. It’s right on the 62. There are stores across the street. We had a fun and yummy dinner next store at Mac’s. We had a kitchen in our room. There was a common outside area with tables and chairs. It is about an hour to Crater Lake. AC worked great.
We enjoyed our time. Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Friendly staff. Good location.
The shower.

The view was incredible, the location was great, easy access to wherever we were wanting to go.
Not much as far as amenities, no plastic water cups, no utensils, not even coffee stirrers no available ice on the premises.

everything thing you need, greating heating for the cold.
Another tenant at the time. I drove through the lot and to my designated parking spot and got rushed by someone else staying there and starting asking me questions to confirm where I was staying.

The rooms were so cozy and the beds were amazing. Especially the suit rooms that faced the river!

Room needs more lighting

Beautiful deck and scenery by the river. Also comfortable bed.
Not the fault of management but annoying construction starting next door early morning. Also second night no internet working at all and no one answered when we called the service desk.
3.5
Room was cute and comfortable. For the most part clean. Bed and sheet made for a good night sleep.
For the most part room was clean but the bathroom floor was pretty gross. Dirty and dingy. Room didn't even have a writing pen.

The room was very clean, beautiful decor, and lovely sorroundings. After a long day in Crater Lake, we had a great rest and slept well.

Great find along the route to Crater Lake! Very clean lodgings, staff very friendly, lovely deck overlooking the Rogue River!
Bed linens (mattress cover and "pillowtopper") did not fit the bed, and so they popped off the edges soon after getting in the bed and it was annoying. Also, the bathtub/shower was very narrow, so husband could not fit his shoulders in tub to lay down and soak!
3.5
It was a great spot and clean.
Second bed and pillows had a lot to desire, but got the job done - a good nights rest. Would have appreciated easier control over room temperature.
Door mats inside and out would have been nice to keep mud out of room. And a broom to clean up what made it past our defenses.

big clean rooms
parking and hard bed

Our room was very comfortable and cheerful! The community deck overlooking the Rogue River was fabulous!!! Spent hours there enjoying our beverages, playing cards, and watching the birds & rafters go by. Couldn't beat the view!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful too!!!
The dirt driveway.
3.5
The location was good. Closer to crater lake. A different experience than staying in a traditional hotel
The cars are parked right next to your room. For people looking for a peaceful sleep, this won't be recommended as vehicles would make a lot of noise at night.
3.5
quaint and cute.
The bathroom door would jam shut when closing, so you had to pull hard to open it. The toilet seat didn’t remain open on it’s own.
3.0
The owner is very nice, Crater Lake is accessible
Real coffee for the coffee machine
AC is very old and noisy, impossible to sleep with AC
The double bed is very saggy, the duvet cover is too small for the bed and comes off.
Small jumping insects in bed.
Water pressure is too low, showering almost impossible
Little water comes out of the tap
It takes a long time for hot water
