Look elsewhere first, but it'll work in a pinch
Great location for a last minute trip. AC worked great. Unfortunately, it was bare bones (no extra towels, hand soap, wash towels, coffee for pot). Response from management was quick but snarky. No view, but great ocean breeze from balcony. Thin walls, so highly recommend sleeping with ear plugs. Wouldn't come again, but made the best of the situation.

Close enough to the beach
We just loved our time here at the Coral Reef apartments on Galen Drive. It was exactly the low key, no hassle, easy in, easy out resort hotel stay we were looking for. This property is in a great location and very central for both entertainment and nature. It was just 5 minutes walk to our own private beach access, 5 minute walking distance to shops and restaurants, as well as 5 minutes in car to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and Rickenbacker Causeway. We saw tons of Iguana, Flying fish, Manatee, Tortoise, Dolphin, Stingray and large birds of all kind. The staff were all so amazingly friendly as well. We are coming back to Key Biscayne in a few years and we are definately going to stay here again.

Not what was expected
I know that we are supposed to try to work things out with a property manager, but we never saw one. Nobody was there when we arrived, although we did get a text stating what number of unit we would be in and where to find a key.
Our biggest concerns were:
One of the twin size beds had a plastic covering that was noisy and uncomfortable to sleep in. We tried to solve the problem by taking it off. However, when removed, the mattress had a large stain that was evidence of a wet bed at one time. We had to turn the mattress over and slept on the back side for the whole stay.
Additionally, there were no washcloths or hand towels in the whole place. When requested, the response was “apologies , we have none”
There was one dish towel in the kitchen for four days and no dish cloths. There were no napkins or any paper towels.
Four towels were in the unit for four days for four adults. They did bring us some more once I found someone working there to ask.
There were no baking pans in the kitchen, and only a 2 cup coffee pot for four people, with no coffee for even the first morning.
We had to ask for an additional roll of toilet paper.
There were no trash bags for replacing when we took out our trash each day.
We were given permission for a 12:00 checkout, but were rushed out early.
Also, there was no access to ice-and only one ice tray-again for four adults for four days.
The property is described online much differently than it really is in cleanliness, overall age and condition
We insisted on still having a good time, but this might help others who are thinking of booking
I would not rent this location again.
Thank you.

Great snorkel spot
Very basic apartment in a beautiful area. The staff was super kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the loading dock for the ritz Carleton is well within earshot and apparently they like to get their deliveries all night. Between the noise and the uncomfortable beds, it was very difficult to sleep.
There is a nice little snorkel spot just off the beach. Also, you can rent a paddle board from coral reef which was fun as well. Would consider staying again if they can guarantee me an apartment on the other side of the building.

charged upon checkin
we had paid the full amount for our stay before we went, two days before we were to arrive we were told there was an additional fee, we paid it, but told the manger that we were not happy with it. the place did not sleep six people as advertised but only four, we had to tell my daughter and friend not to come, also not ready for prime time, as there were a number of things missing that we had to request,
I am surprised that you rent to these people , not up to your expectations

It's the little things
Overall it was a good stay despite the rain.
Place was clean and comfortably sized for 2 couples.
Where it went awry was the little things.
Advertzed to be 1/2 block from beach and that beach towels were covered by resort fee. We did not pack beach towels and were told by staff they do not supply towels for beach use. I pointed out in the listing where they say they are supplied and never received further response.
I was really looking forward to being only 1/2 block from beach because of medical issue farther can be difficult. It was more like to a block and a half to two to get to the gate then another block-ish through the greenery tunnel (which was very nice) to the actual sand.
My sister loves to cook so at the grocers we picked up quite a bit. Turns out the oven is nonfunctional and appears to be fixed so pilot light cannot be lit.
We were only supplied with liquid dish soap for hand washing the dishes, even though there was a dishwasher, but no sponge, cloth, or drainer for hand washing.
None of these things would have stopped us from renting but would have made life easier (and less expensive) if we had known in advance.
Oh, and office is being run remotely like so much during pandemic. Ok. Day 2 I noticed someone leaving beach chairs outside the office door. I texted office person to ask if they had chairs to loan. Since their pool towels were not for beach use it seemed reasonable. They responded that beach chairs were available to rent from the office. No mention of price or when a person might be there to rent from. 2 days later those same chairs were still sitting in the exact same spot. So...

Do not stay here
Checked in at 8pm had to text credit card and ID before they told me which unit. Text would not go through due to no WIFI. Used another phone to send the info which also took along time for it to go through. Even though I had paid in full. When we went into the unit, the smell was so bad. Musky, mold like smell. The noise from outside from people partying was so load, wanted to tell them to shut up but didn't fancy dying that night. This went on till I fell asleep at 2am. Got up at 5am to leave went to the bathroom to find a huge cockroach in the sink. I text the office and had asked for half my money back. No response. Told them we were leaving. I am going to dispute this with my credit card. This place is the worst place I have ever stayed by far. I would not stay here if it was free. This is my first bad review I have ever written. Just wanted to prewarn anyone that thinks about booking this place. Just not worth it!

Location, location, location
This condo was in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and to town. The pool are was small but very cute and we enjoyed it. The condo itself was ok. It was fairly sparse. One tiny couch that served as a futon. We intended to use it for one person to sleep on but it was so small and uncomfortable we did not use it. The kitchen was ok, but again, very sparse. There was 1 6 inch frying pan and 1 saucepan. There were no bowls other than soup/cereal bowls. We made it work but if you intend to do more cooking you would have trouble. The staff was kind and helpful. Key Biscayne and the general area are so amazing that we didn't spend too much time in the condo anyway.

Not as advertised; poor response
Family of five booked a two bedroom. Called day of to ensure late arrival and confirm all details. Traveled a long distance and arrived at 1030pm to find a one bed unit. No one answered the phone number that was given to me hours earlier. We tried til midnight and eventually had to rebook. Closest accommodation were 20 miles away and this was Thanksgiving so rates were outrageous. So they delivered on absolutely nothing. The unit they did have for us (one bed for five people) was marginally suitable from a cleanliness stay point. We traveled from very far away and had to pivot to another location because of the poor service. I was not about to entrust them to the rest of my family vacation and got a better rate with the other hotel by committing to more nights. In the end that was still double but got nothing from them and wanted all my money back. They agreed they made an error and paid me some of my money back but still charged me for one night. I have them a chance to rethink this decision as they took money for zero service provided but decided to keep my money. I would strong advice you do not risk your limited family time with service like this.

Good and bad
The property was in a very nice area on Key Biscayne. Very quiet and secluded. Unfortunately, one of the bathroom sinks drained extremely slow, thus shaving was quite a mess. The other bathroom had some serious plumbing issues requiring us to plunge multiple times. The other toilet didn’t have this problem, thank goodness! The dishwasher almost came out of its socket whenever the top rack was pulled out. Very scary! Also, in a 2-day stay, I killed over 12 cockroaches! Several were in the cabinets where the dishes were! And it’s not even close to being Summer! Our 2 bed/2 bath needs some serious attention before the next guest stays there! I informed the manager upon our check out. Hopefully all of the things will be fixed for the next guest. Not sure if I would return to this property.

Motel 6. The place is very simple, completely overrated.
Side of the road Hotel,
no better description.
PAID for 6 PEOPLE, only BEDs for 4, had to sleep on a very uncomfortable couch that fitted barely 1 person.
Be AWARE, only 4 PEOPLE. (ah, extra bed or whatever would cost you $15/night)
simple, filters are very dirty and with mold. No door locks
The bathrooms fits 1 person, sooo small.
The pictures cause a completely different impression.
we Paid a lot for 3 nights stay. DISAPPOINTMENT.

Family Winter Vacation
Location and access to beach via walkway by Resorts made the stay.
The apartment - a two bedroom that sleeps 6 - maybe 4 adults and to kids... the Futon sofa did not fold down flat. It had for large sections that made it impossible for an adult to sleep on.
I was not aware the 2 bedrooms were only on the first floor. The first floor wasn’t elevated... so people parking in the parking lot were at eye level. Only the bathroom had film over the windows so people couldn’t see in. It was very unnerving while using the kitchenette, a man decided to lean against the window and talk on his cell phone. Because the shades opened from bottom up- we kept them closed for privacy... making the apartment quite dark, and needing to put on a light (not dimmable) to read. Normally, I would just have gone outside, but we had bursts of rain during our stay...so frequently we needed to retreat to the room.

Shocked Upon Arrival, However Ended Up Being Okay
If you’re looking for a resort feel, this is not the place to stay, however it ended up being okay. We didn’t realize Key Biscayne was such a “quiet” little area. We found an Enterprise close by and rented a car to get to Miami Beach for a more lively beach, restaurants, fun shopping, jet boat ride, hop on/hop off bus & boat tour.....a few of the many things we did during our 6 day stay. The manager of the property was VERY attentive to everything we brought up regarding the room thus my review title.

Good place, well located but dated
The Homeaway pictures look much better than the actual place . The administrators are really nice and ready to help. But we felt the place filthy and dated. It would be an excellent option if the hotel could be remodeled. There were not enough towels, the floor was dirty, the in suite bathroom was very small.
However, the hotel is well located and the surroundings are very nice.
The price is good but because of the pictures we felt disappointed. At the end they charge an extra resort fee that makes no sense since it is not a resort, and they do not give extra services for this fee.
