This was my second time staying at this extraordinary property. The spacious home and grounds are impeccable and well-appointed (we particularly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and huge backyard), and it’s minutes away from great hiking trails (we found the wolf’s den!) and a distillery that was an experience in itself. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This property is a great getaway from a busy schedule. My family and I only went a few days for my sister’s wedding nearby, but we fell in love with the property. It is a little far from supermarkets/gas stations but it wasn’t a problem to us. It rather added to its beauty, since you can actually relax without hearing noises from traffic. The house is clean and completely equipped with anything you could need and the host is readily available in case you have doubts or need help. We would definitely choose this property again whenever we visit Connecticut.

Great country location / close to Pomfret School
My wife and I went up to our daughter's high school graduation from Pomfret School. The location was fantastic - Pomfret was only a 10-15 minute drive away. The country setting allowed us to relax between events and enjoy some beautiful New England weather! The owner was super friendly when we asked about a potential bonfire for smores (we wound up not having one but he was more than helpful). All in all it was a fantastic experience.

Hidden gem, highly recommended
This is an immaculate, secluded home surrounded by greenery with ample sleeping and bathroom space and an open downstairs plan (linking kitchen, dining room, and living room) that’s excellent for connecting with others. We particularly appreciate the spacious backyard and the hammock under the stars. Communication with owner was smooth and straightforward – can’t say enough good things!
