The hotel was very clean and tidy with a guest pantry so we could have extra milk when needed.
It overlooked the sea with a nice outside terrace.
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the food was delicious.
The rain 😆
Nothing to do with the hotel I know.
But there was nothing I could fault with the hotel.

Breakfast was good.good choice.
Our room was at the top of the hotel and was very noisy until the kitchen closed as the extractor blew onto the roof above our room.
Not a very big room but nice bathroom. Not a good view.

Beautifully presented hotel in a wonderful setting and with first class facilities. Friendly staff. One of the best hotels we have stayed at.
Nothing to dislike.

The location is lovely and the pizzas are excellent. And not too pricey.
The breakfast service is very pampered everything is waiter service.,it would be more efficient if you could help yourself to toast, juice and cereal etc, the porridge unfortunately is watery and tasteless according to my wife..

Super staff, location, refurbished throughout , side bar Pizza bar.
Pricy restaurant with improvements required. e.g. cheap paper serviettes not consistent with intended quality. Breakfast fruit salad all served in huge chunks.

From arriving to departing it was a 5 star experience for us both. We feel well rested as the beds so comfortable and it’s a king size. The food is exceptional, they have a varied menu and even a wood fired pizza, which is delicious. Also theres a great lounge with an amazing view of the harbour, so for us, not having a harbour view room, was not a problem, we just made use of the lovely warm comfortable lounge. There is also a residents pantry, where a large fridge can store your fresh milk for coffee or wine or cheese. The pantry also has fresh fruits and extra tea coffee sugar and every afternoon, they’re a small cake samples to nibble on. A real treat.
Having to leave. This is possibly my favourite hotel by the sea and i have stayed in quite a few. Theres no boat trips early on in the year as the boats are all stored away. Would love a boat trip.

We particularly liked the welcome given to our dog Poppy, including her own waitress served sausage at breakfast.
More vegetarian options on the menu.

Great location and a lovely harbour room

lovely clean hotel, good breakfast and evening meal with a lovely position on the weir.
our room was at the back of the hotel, quite small with no view but was very clean. thought we had made the booking for a room at the front.

The hotel facilities, food, and staff were all exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel in every way apart from our disappointment with the room.
We were very disappointed to find that the upgrade to a room with a view turned out to be a room with a side view!! We were expecting a room with a harbour view, or if a side-view, a room looking out towards the coast. Instead, we were in a room with two windows, one was overlooked by the coastal path and the kitchen's storeroom entrance, and the other overlooked the pizza bar area, which was frequently crowded. We had to keep the blinds shut on both windows most of the time. The hotel tried to move us to a better room, but it was fully booked. We accept that the room was probably more spacious and had a seating area, but that wasn't why we upgraded. We feel we were cheated by Booking.com in the way the upgrade was marketed. The hotel did send an email a few days before we went that specified it would be a side-view room, but until we saw it we didn't fully realise its limitations. It didn't spoil our overall enjoyment of our stay, as all other aspects of the hotel were excellent, but it certainly wasn't worth another £120 on top of the bill.

We were delighted with the reception we received turning up at Porlock Weir, especially as they had kindly given us an upgrade to a beautiful harbour view room, which was stunning. The hotel was comfortable and the food was excellent - loved the guest pantry too!!
Nothing - we’d love to visit again.

A beautiful place and away from all the hustle and bustle, if you want peace & quiet, this is an ideal place. The hotel is clean, with an amazing view, cosily decorative and attentive to all the little details. The staff here is very professional, friendly and cares about customers. What a wonderful experience, thank you all. We will definitely come back and also will recommend to all our friends and family.
The food could be better, but overall it’s ok .
