*HURRICANE HELENE UPDATE* The Bottom floor is unavailable due to storm flooding. Our home can only sleep 6 until we can repair! Welcome to your very own paradise. 4/3 with over 3,400 ft.² of living sitting on almost 3/4 of an acre of the Homosassa River. This waterfront property is completely Furnished and ready for any length of stay. The home also features newer kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops and newer appliances. The bathrooms have been updated and new flooring throughout. The home is conveniently located next to the Homosassa Springs Marina and close to all amenities within Homosassa, Florida.

We were contacted the week of our stay saying the downstairs were unavailable due to damage from a storm that took place almost a month prior. This seemed ridiculous to provide us an update a month after the storm during the week of our planned stay. However, after pushing back, the management said they will get the downstairs ready for us. Upon arrival, we were greeted with hundreds of mosquitos in the downstairs area. We ended up only using the top floor due to this.
Very unfortunate and understand that the storm is out of the owners control but felt that the communication and the way it was handled could have been far better.
The upstairs area was adequate and worked out for our trip.

Beautiful spot perfect to go up and down the river very century located the property just needs some upkeep TLC. The bottom level is notable. It’s moldy and smells terrible because of the flooding but overall it’s something you’re not buying you’re just staying there for a weekend.

The House was more than big enough however....
Dishes and cabinets were full of bugs/ feces
attempting to close the blinds half of the vertical pcs. fell out. The mattresses were so old and soft they felt like a water bed. Shower drains clogged with hair.
Overall lack of maintenance and house keeping.

The location was easy to find and in a great area. It had plenty of parking and the dock was nice. They had an ice machine, too, which was convenient. This unit would be great, but needs some "TLC".
The code was supposed to be provided the day of arrival but we had to contact the owner for it when we still didn't have it at the 4pm entry time.
When we got inside, we found the unit was not very clean (we swept floors, wiped counters, cleaned cobwebs out of upper corners, etc.) We also found some unexpected issues. One of the showers needed a wrench to control turning it on/off. (The owner was obviously aware since the wrench was in the bathroom window sill). There were leaks in the plumbing and bowls under a few sinks to catch water. We found that if we used the right side of the kitchen sink the water ran out onto the floor so we had to make sure we only used the left side. The living room light and downstairs stove didn't work. The sliding doors in the master didn't fit the space so if you closed one side, the other side opened to about a 1/8" gap. The windows in the lower unit were sealed shut. One opened up and couldn't be closed so we stuffed a towel in the gap to keep bugs out. There was only one exit available from the top floor (by the kitchen) as the back stairs were locked and the elevator was out of order. The smoke detector battery was hanging out. My sister also scraped her foot on a closet door hinge that was off and hanging out from under a guest room bed.

The location of this home is top notch. Situated right next to the marina for easy access to a boat rental. Around the block from multiple restaurants, bars and shopping if needed. Home was stocked with everything we need. The downstairs and upstairs are not connected to each other, so it is two separate living quarters which I didn't realize but worked for our family. Just a heads up for families. Great stay, ice machine was a huge plus for our scalloping and boating days!

We loved staying here! It was a perfect for our planned scalloping trip! We were able to get up early and get on the water without dealing with the hassel of the boat ramp!
Also it is a beautiful veiw to wake up to in the morning, right on the water! We will deffinitly be planning to stay here again!

We enjoyed our time at this Homosassa River vacation house. The property has wonderful Homosassa River views and our whole family raved about the location. The home has its own ice machine which was so helpful while boating with our Pontoon boat. The owner was always quick to reply to any questions we had. If you are looking for a home to rent on the Homosassa River, this location is a great choice!

Beautiful location, very relaxing. House is older but comfortable, AC works extremely well. Very convenient being right next to a marina, made boat rental and return easy.

My family stayed at this house for a vacation and loved it. The house was well stocked, had plenty of space and a lovely view. We saw manatees and dolphins, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Bobby was very communicative and accommodating. We hope to be back soon.

Great home on the river
The home is very well located on a large riverfront lot. It is clean and well appointed for a rental property. We had 3 families with young children stay and had plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again.

Perfect Family-Friendly Property with Awesome Location on the River
We rented this property for a family vacation for 4th of July week. The house is spacious, clean, and very well stocked. The house has tons of windows with beautiful views of the river. The location is perfect for idling to the springs or running out to scallop. The dock is amazing and easily accommodated our two boats. The large covered downstairs area was perfect for hanging out in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to returning for future family vacations.

Our Favorite Escape Place
We have been coming to Homosassa for many years. We are always here for scallop season but sometimes we come just for fishing and boating . We have come with friends, family but this trip was just my husband and myself. Originally when we booked the property we weren’t sure if family was going to join us so we had plenty of room.
The house has everything you need, we loved grilling out and sitting on downstairs patio with water view and there was an awesome breeze that came through
Master bed is super cozy and love the big bathroom with laundry room in it! Ice machine is a bonus!

For anyone bringing a boat
The property is in a fantastic location and the views are amazing. It's very spacious and having a kitchen upstairs and downstairs is a huge plus. It was more than plenty for six adults. We had a little issue checking in but Bobby was very responsive. If you're bringing a boat, there is plenty of room for your trailer and you can easily tie up to the dock. Dock cleats would have been nice to have but it was no problem tying up to the pylons. It was in a no wake zone but I think that may change in the summer. The water is a bit shallow around the area so be careful as Homosassa is rocky and unforgiving. We launched the boat at the Riverhaven Marina which is about half a mile up the road. The ramp is very steep which made trailering a little difficult but overall, it's not bad. There are great restaurants nearby which you can easily boat to. I highly recommend Crumps Landing, it was great! The house has an ice maker which was great for packing our coolers. We spent a lot of time on the downstairs porch watching the water. I would definitely book this place again.

If you want to relax and see manatees this is the house to rent on the Homosassa river. The house was great, plenty of room for our large group. The house layout is great, very well thought out. We enjoyed seeing manatees off the dock. Quiet and tranquil. The nearby springs is a short trip down river.

Water front property, spacious home
Very nice spacious home right on the water! Crumps is a must see 1/2 mile up the road!
4 starts due to LOUD outside ice maker. Could not sit on the deck in peace and quiet also so loud you could hear it in the master bedroom.
Bathrooms where great except for the water downed hand soap, wouldn't lather it was so watery.

Wonderful location right on the river
We saw manatees and dolphins in our backyard! Morning coffee was enjoyed from the screen porch overlooking the river. We enjoyed staying in a home in Homosassa big enough for 5 adults and 2 children to spread out and all be comfortable.

Safety/security issues
Although the house was lovely and in a beautiful location, it worried us that almost all of the sliding glass doors had malfunctioning locks, including the one in the master bedroom. This made sleeping soundly at night difficult, for obvious safety reasons. If it hadn't been for that issue, the house would be almost perfect. The beds were comfortable, you had everything you needed in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. We just didn't feel totally safe with doors that did not lock. We would not rent this house again if the locks weren't repaired.

Fantastic experience
This house is in a great location, with natural scenery and not far from town. The property is very well maintained and served all of our needs. We got married in the yard by the water and it was a wonderful experience for us and our family. We would definitely like to come back some day!

So unique and wonderful.
Stayed here with my family and just loved it. So much space and open area. For a family from out west in a rocky mountain state, having a private boat dock and being on the water was just fun and beautiful. We used the two kayaks at the property to paddle around the river, the screened in porch to enjoy meals etc. 100% would love to come back. Thank you for allowing our big family to come and stay.

Went there for a Red fishing trip and the location of the house was perfect.
The trip was awesome, the location couldn't have been better it is minutes from restaurants and plenty of boat docking. The house was nice and clean and very convenient for the fisher man and only a 2 minute drive on the water from McCrea's boat ramp . I recommend this place for other people and contacting the owner was easy and seemed very nice and accommodating. I will be booking another trip at this location

Lots of room
This house was very spacious. It was perfect that my niece and her husband had their own little apt. downstairs. It would have been nice to have someplace to set our luggage on while we unpacked. The rooms where large enough to have added that. The shower in the master bedroom was hard to keep the water contained in it as there was no shower curtain and there was no towel racks. Besides those couple of things the place was beautiful and comfortable.
