Things we liked
- The room was nice and the beds comfortable. Nice that they'd thought about including a full length mirror and a magnified make-up mirror on the dressing table, too.
- Air conditioning and TV included.
- Location was lovely with a sea view which was also quiet.
- Outsider courtyard area for breakfast is pleasant.
- Clearly a family-run establishment which was nice to read about in the comment books from the 1980s!
- Nice of them to celebrate its history with the older touches such as the telephone in reception and the tapestry along with family photos.
Things we didn't like
- Bathroom needs updating.
- Stained curtains which looked like blood.
- Lack of tea/coffee/kettle facilities in the room.
- Communally, it could have been cleaner.
- The breakfast was VERY limited and lacking in choice. There was coffee but only green tea with one choice of cereal and warm milk (bleurgh!)
- The unrelated staff member on reception was incredibly rude and miserable.
- Only one English channel but that's to be expected in a small, family run establishment.
- Not good value for money.

The bathrooms need an upgrade, very small.

The breakfast was a bit basic as not even a toaster was provided. Kettle and cups in the rooms would have been very welcome

Everything else was just great, amazing sea view.
Couldn't take my breakfast at my balcony, even though it's better than having it with other people (covid).
No blankets, so either hot or cold.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had a lovely balcony facing the sea with the best views! We enjoyed every bit of it. The location of the hotel is great, with lots of restaurants and shops around.
The AC unit was a bit dated

The lady that checked us in was lovely. The room had a wonderful view on the Mirabello Bay and the hotel is super central. The bathroom was really poor instead but ok for what we paid.
The morning of our check out date there was a super rude lady at the reception that drove us pretty crazy. First of all the breakfast was just ridiculous. Literally the only things available were some slices of bread, some cheese, ham and jams. Then there was a sad bowl of a mix of corn and beans and some slices of melon. That was the buffet breakfast. Honestly, I've been traveling and staying in many hotels in my life, but I think that this was the worst breakfast I've ever seen. On top of that the lady that was there (the aforementioned one) was extremely rude. On top of that I went to pay and, after telling us that we had to bring the dirty plates to the counter instead of leaving them on the table, I was asked for additional 3€ (city tax) on top of what I was supposed to pay according to booking. At that point I didn't want to hear anymore of this and I refused to pay. It's a shame because the lady that was there when we checked in the night before was just lovely. You should definitely form better your staff and teach them about customer service. For the owner of the hotel: you can add the City Tax on the Booking Extranet in the list of expenses that client will need to face during check out. If you don't mention it there, you will surprise people and they will not be willing to pay (specially after they've been treated like floor cleaning rags by your staff) ;)

What a seaview. It must be one of the best in town. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, ready to help. The simple but really good breakfast was served by a wonderful lady. We loved our stay here, we would come back anytime. The real Cretan hospitality is at your fingertips.
Everything was just fine. WiFi only available in the lobby, but that was no problem for us.
