About this villa rental
Surrounded by olive groves at the foot of the Soller Tramuntana mountains just on the outskirts of the town of Soller just a 10 min walk from the town center Plaza where you can find many restaurants, coffee shops with wifi, bars, pharmacies, banks, outside terraces to relax, galleries, local artisans, and the lovely antique train station with its wood trams that run between Soller and the fishing Port where there are beaches, boat rentals, and other water sports. Olivera is a rustic converted farm house. The master bedroom has a full king size bed. The top bedroom to the left has a queen size bed. The top bedroom to the right also has a queen size bed and a single bed. Two bathrooms with sinks, wc, and showers, and electric towel racks for the winter.
The large living room opens up to the veranda. The sunny well equiped kitchen also opens up to a veranda with table and chairs so summer dining is a delight with views of the mountains, bird song, and distant sheep bells. A hammock in the shade of the carob been trees to rest and read. There is a combined gas and charcoal barbecue. At the old Soller market you can buy fish caught the same day by our local fishermen also local vegetables.
You can hike into the mountains right from the house or walk to the square and take the tram to the beach. As I do quite a bit of hiking I am happy to recommend good walks and indicate the best maps that are available locally. There are several good walks that are in walking distance from the house.
Arrival time from 4 pm. Departure time by 10 am unless otherwise arranged. Checking in is normally Saturday to Saturday but if we can we will be flexible.
Combine this villa with our Little Romantic Cottage ( the Relaxing Casita ) that is in the vicinity and sleep a total of up to nine people. To find it just put the Property number 6300799 in the search box and you can check it out. Ideal if you have two families with children and a couple that want to be close but maintain their privacy.
Each property (The Relaxing Casita and the Olive grove Villa Olivera ) is independent, autonomous.

Stayed with my family and parents . Really nice villa and the host was excellent, very attentive and helped us out with advice on where to go and the one time there was a small issue small issue (flushing toilet) we had it fixed within the hour

We had a lovely week and Robert the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The pool and pool area was a little tired compared to the pictures but overall a good stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Robert and Maria’s villa. It was equipped with everything we needed for our week long visit. Robert was only a call away if we needed anything and was very helpful. The only thing that could’ve made our stay better would’ve been fans in the bedrooms. Highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful week staying at Robert and Maria’s villa. Robert was very helpful upon arrival and made himself available throughout if we needed anything.
It was a joy spending time together around the pool and strolling into town for evening meals. The hike back is a bit of a challenge but my 7 year old boy and 73 year old mum both managed it well.
We loved listening to the birds, although never saw them. The villa is well equipped and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
It was the perfect family holiday, exactly what we hoped for and we will definitely be back. There is so much to discover in the area, we ran out of time.

This Villa that is a short walk from Soller town center is even better than pictured. It is quiet and as picturesque as it could possibly be. The home is comfortable, and Robert’s greeting and recommendations for the island were much appreciated. I would 100% stay here again in future Mallorca visits.

Although the house is just a 10 - 15 mins pleasant walk from the beautiful town of Soller, once in its environs it feels secluded, very private and remote. Surrounded by the majesty of the Serra de Tramuntana, the house is uncluttered, clean and offered everything we needed it to on our relaxing holiday. Four adults and two small children were comfortably accommodated and everyone had a very enjoyable break. The saltwater pool was deliciously cool and the combination of poolside furniture and hammocks arranged around olive trees ensured there was both sunshine and shade throughout the day for everyone. We enjoyed our early morning visits to the bakery, our evening meals on the terrace and the cool rooms of the house at nighttime. Robert and Maria were wonderful and very responsive hosts and dealt with our enquiries expediently and efficiently. All in all we had a lovely time and hope to return on day if we can.

A gorgeous farmhouse, simply but beautifully decorated, with a lovely homely feel. Robert couldn't have been more helpful with advice on where to go/what to see and a quick fix of a plumbing problem too. Would highly recommend :)

We had a wonderful stay in the house - it was beautiful and peaceful and no detail had been missed in helping us have an incredibly comfortable holiday. It felt like a real treat. Robert met us in town so that we could find our way there and welcomed us with kindness and much love and information for the island. There is a steep walk back to the house from the town, but that gave us a sense of achievement at the end of each day! The area is stunning and there is so much to do - more than we could fit into a week. We are already planning a return.

We, a family of six adults, all enjoyed our stay at Olivera. On arrival Robert met with our taxi driver to ensure that he could find the house and Robert then offered to take us shopping, which was apppreciated.
Robert responded promptly to a small issue we had and, whilst he was at the house, he ordered pizza for us as the place we contacted wasn’t doing delivery.
The house itself has everything that you need. Air conditioning would be good, but fans are provided.
The pool, which is well maintained, was most welcome as the temperature was 32-35c whilst we were there. One thing to note though is that there is no shallow end.
As others have mentioned, the house is up a steep hill. The younger members of our party didn’t find it too much of a problem.
Soller itself has a number of good restaurants, whilst other towns and villages such as Deia, Port de Soller and Fornalutx, are easy to get to on the excellent bus service.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday.

We had a glorious 2 week stay in the Sóller villa. It is close enough to the centre to enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and shops. A 10 minute walk downhill and 20 minutes back. The location is really special, at the foot of the mountains it is both beautiful and very peaceful. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing break. We all totally loved the house and pool and had a fabulous holiday, thank you Robert and Maria.

We loved our week here. With the mountains on one side - green with pines & olives, despite the heat (mid-high 30s) - and the distant sea on the other, the house feels very private & remote but is only a short walk into the town of Sóller, with its shops, buses and marvellous wooden train to Palma. Apart from sleeping & cooking, we hardly spent time indoors. The long table on the veranda is great for family meals, and the deep pool is a good size and has soft salty water rather than chlorine. Robert is a really thoughtful host, who made us feel welcome and well looked-after and provided plenty of information on local walks, places to eat etc. Back home in rainy England, it all feels like a dream, but we hope to return sometime!

A Beautiful villa with fabulous outdoor space. The pool was just perfect for cooling off and relaxing. It was well equipped although rather warm at night without air conditioning.
We loved the peaceful walk into Soller and the location was a great starting point for exploring.

A family event to celebrate two significant birthdays found the perfect location. Never before found accommodation that provided both champagne flutes and cake forks in a great kitchen. Rural location was a joy and the property had enough space, both inside and out, for everyone to find 'space' if they needed.
Nothing was too much trouble for Robert and Maria although we did our best to be self-reliant and not bother them.
Some of us did find the the walk up the hill, back to the property, a challenge as did the dreadful hire car, a DR, but everyone has benefitted from the exercise it seems.

This house is a little gem and my husband and I really enjoyed our week there. Robert was so helpful and gave us amazing recommendations for our stay.
Will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful time again in Soller - we've been many times and it never fails to charm us with some of the best walking and cycling you'll find in Europe. Our Villa was tasteful done, well equipped and peaceful and despite some poor weather with occasional cloud, rain and thunderstorms, we made the most of the pool and the the comfortable facilities it offered.

Robert was so accommodating and friendly on my arrival.
The house is immaculate and sympathetically designed to a very high standard . I have fallen deeply in love with this area and the house itself . I had the most romantic week of my life there and if you appreciate the beautiful of nature then this is your place . It aroused all of my senses . Beautiful location could not fault it I will be back VERY soon Rob !

Our stay at Villa Olivera was fabulous. The outdoor seating and pool area are so charming, we ended up spending more time at the villa than planned to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
Upon arrival at the airport, Robert was very responsive and as we were travelling by taxi, he picked us up from a nearby landmark and drove us to the villa. As we did not have a hire car, he offered to take us to the big supermarket which was incredibly kind and made all the difference.
The bedrooms are all good sizes and the house was in fantastic condition. The walk down into town is quite pleasant, around 10 mins although we did find it difficult walking back up to the house from town in the middle of the day as its uphill and was extremely hot while we were there. The town itself is very charming with a good selection of restaurants and cafes.
I would recommend renting a car if you are staying at this villa, as we found trying to get hold of taxi companies to pre-book taxis or flagging them down in Soller town impossible. We missed a dinner reservation we had in Port de Soller due to an inability to get a taxi and another evening we waited 1hr 15mins when the restaurant we were in called a taxi to take us back to the villa. This seems to be an issue at the moment across Soller so is in no way a reflection of villa olivera! The tram service to and from Port de Soller was however very easy and a lovely way to travel.
Thank you Robert and Maria for having us in your beautiful home!

We had a lovely time at the villa. We spent a lot of our holiday relaxing around the pool and enjoying lunches on the outside dining area which was very quiet and peaceful. Robert, the property owner gave us a great handover and was promptly on hand when needed. The villa was close to Soller and surrounded by the stunning Tramuntana Mountains. Thoroughly recommended.

We´ve spent a week in this beautiful house and had a great time. The house offers everything one can look for: location (nearby to Soller, 15 mins walk), garden and pool with mountain views, privacy, spotless clean, lots of attention (I would call it love) to details throughout, all amenities one needs to cook and BBQ - and great hosts (thanks again Robert and Maria for having us!) Highly recommended.

The villa was set in a beautiful location with mountain views but just a ten minute walk into Soller with all its lovely restaurants and cafes. The owner was super helpful with lots of recommendations and nothing was too much trouble.

We can just second all the former positive reviews. The location, the equipment, the pool, the mountains around - everything is just great. The hammocks were my personal favourite.
It's hard to find a better place to enjoy two weeks on the beautiful island of Mallorca.

We have fully enjoyed our stay at Robert and Maria’s wonderful house. The house is perfectly equipped with everything you might need, beautifully decorated and very clean. The outside area including the pool is a real gem! The house is perfectly located, near to Soller but still providing a lot of privacy.
Thanks also for the great tips to explore the island and picking us up from the bus station, Robert!
We can totally recommend to stay here & will definitely come back! :)

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean, well equipped and so relaxing! The house was not ready when we arrived, but we were made to feel at home while they put the finishing touches on the home. Maria and her crew came half way through our two week stay to tidy up and provide new linens. The walk into town is lovely, and the walk home strengthened our muscles and endurance! It was a fabulous stay! Robert and Maria were terrific! Thank you.

We spent a week at Roberts House and it was a very nice time! Robert was so nice and picked us up from the Bus station and went shopping with us as we didn’t had a car. The house was very clean and lovely like on the pictures! I can very much reccomend staying there!

Pros: We loved the finca. A small but very charming home set on a country road in Soller. The pool and outdoor shower was a treat. We do recommend getting as small as a car as you can if you aren’t used to driving in Majorca. You just can’t beat the views of the mountains.
Cons: There wasn’t any hand soap or shampoo which the listing does mention it offers so we had to get some in the town. The Moka Pot had old coffee grounds in it when we tried to use it. All trash is asked to be removed from the home before departure. Which was a hassle for us. Overall a nice experience with just a few small things that could be improved on.

A 5* star stay at this wonderful villa in the foothills of the mountains overlooking the lovely town of Soller. The villa had everything we needed for a perfect fortnight in the Majorcan sunshine. Thanks to Robert and Maria for making such a great place available and for being so welcoming. We will be back...

We just came home from the most fantastic week in this lovely house. Situated in the mountains behind Soller with a most spectacular view on the mountains.
The house - and everything around it - was the most perfect place to stay.
Everything was just tip-top - so not at all impossible that we will come back to this little gem.
Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Six close friends from Bath in the UK stayed at this lovely property in the outskirts of Soller. The property was located just past the cemetery, in the foothills of the mountains, about 15 mins walk, slightly uphill from the centre of Soller (and 10 mins walk down). The location was very peaceful, and you could see the port from the house in the distance. The house was simply, very clean, and worked very well for our party of 3 couples. All of the three double rooms were of a good size. The downstairs one had a bathroom next door to it, but not en-suite. The upstairs one to the left was slightly bigger with lovely views, and the one to the right had the 2nd bathroom ensuite to it. The Kitchen was small, but well equipped. The swimming pool was quite deep, and very refreshing on the hotter days. Robert, the host, was exceptional helpful. We did not hire a car, and booked a taxi for 6 from the airport. This turned out to be a huge minibus, and could not get to the house, but Robert sorted this out and ferried us from a nearby location to the house. He then took us shopping to the main supermarket in Soller. He was very helpful in sorting out major walks for us as well. We had a great week, and eat in half the week, and in restaurants the rest. Luna 36, Salvia, and the fish restaurant in the beach at Deia were exceptionally good.

We loved our two weeks in Sóller at Robert and Maria’s house. It’s a simple house with simple amenities but clean, bright and charming, everything worked well and it felt like home after a very short while. Robert and Maria were very responsive when we needed them to be (twice) and Robert was very helpful with our orientation when we arrived. We loved the location and walking the kilometer down and up, to and from the town - past orange trees, our friend the horse, the majestic view east to mountains which feel like Switzerland. We loved waking up in the morning with our window wide open to the sounds of birds chattering, a lamb bleating and the church bells in town ringing. We’ll miss it all. While we spent most of our days on the road getting to know the island, the times we spent just lazing around the pretty pool and the terrace were some of our favorite. Lovely house, lovely spot, lovely town.

Robert greeted us upon arrival, and welcomed us up to the home. The location is a short walk up from the city center. The home is decorated beautifully! Every detail was well thought out for our stay. We cooked at home for many meals, enjoyed walks in the hills, day trips per Robert’s great suggestions, and walked down to dinner. The town of Sóller is gorgeous and we couldn’t have been happier with the house. We will definitely come back, it is a gem!

We had the most wonderful holiday here. We took the train from Palma to Soller, followed by a 2 min taxi ride with our bags to the Villa, then after that just strolled the leisurely 10 to 15 mins to and from the restaurants, bars, boutique shops and cultural attractions at the heart of Soller. When you're at the Villa you are in the beautiful Mallorcan countryside and yet so close to all the lovely things that make a holiday truly memorable. The Villa itself is very stylish in a low key, relaxed manner: you feel at home, in a really lovely home. For those who love water, the pool is exception. Crystal clear, chlorine free, spacious and natural feeling. We were there a year ago. I'm writing this now because I dream of being there again but won't be there this year, it was all booked up. Having stayed there once it is for sure a place we long to be, time and again. Julie & Peter

It's a struggle to top the comments already left about this property and Robert. I agree with everything that has been said before. What I loved about this place is that it feels organic, rustic and remote but, you notice the attention to detail in making the place clean, finished and accessible. It's all very clever and feels like it's been created with love and care, coupled with the wondrous setting (I never tired of the towering mountains each morning as I ventured out) it's a gem I'm delighted to have found. If you're looking for every mod con, clean lines, town center noise and instant access to everything, this isn't the place for you but I challenge anyone to find a more superb setting, genuine charm and character and a more accommodating and friendly host.
