This is a very special resort in Kata area - quiet, away from the bustle and craziness of Kata but close enough to walk to the beach and the centre. It's located amongst green gardens with fragrant frangipani trees with spectacular terrace view onto the beach. The pools are clean and very relaxing. The rooms are updated, clean and very spacious. The staff is very nice and polite, accommodating and understanding. We stayed during low season so the resort was not busy. The guests are multinational and because of the location the resort does not get many Russian tourists or families with kids so it's quiet, relaxed and the vibe is more boutique and elegant. Breakfasts are very nice, tasty, with plenty of choice of hot meals, different every day, suitable for vegetarians. The hotel has no smoking policy in the rooms and balconies so it is very very good - there's a dedicated smoking area in the gardens. We were very satisfied with our stay and considering the unappealing and busy Kata area this hotel is perhaps the best choice for those who are looking for something quiet and away from mass consumerism. We got a room upgrade which was very nice - the room was overlooking the gardens with partial see view and it was bright and pleasant. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach and back. The hotel organised an event during our stay to promote sustainability, there is many displays around the hotel to raise guests awareness of the food waste, especially during breakfast, about the water conservation and recycling so it's a positive gesture as well.
Things to improve - display a clear no smoking sign on balconies so guests who are not aware will be informed on the non smoking policy. More flexibility with shuttle booking - without having to book every time and especially the return shuttle because it's hard to estimate when one will be coming back. The hotel is located on the steep hill, it's not that bad as others say but it's definitely a workout. It would help to have the garden beach access pathway cleaned on a regular basis to make it more accessible and pleasant to use - it's faster to go down and back than using the road. The rooms have central AC so it's inconvenient to use it at night because there is no remote control to regulate the temperature. But so far it's been like that in all the hotels we stayed in Phuket so probably it's how it's done here.

We extended our stay so I've copied my previous review here. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The area is quiet and away from the road noise but close enough to walk to the centre and beach. The room was clean - it was located on the ground floor so a bit more darker. The gardens are very nice, lots of frangipani trees around the pools, the place has a very nice vibe, not touristy but more like a boutique. The breakfast was very good - lots of options, tasty and good quality food. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended. There was a power cut in the building where we were staying and the staff moved us to a different room. There is a shuttle to the beach, which is very convenient.
The only thing perhaps is the hill that you need to climb when you miss the shuttle back from the beach.

Location and views
First check in was cold and unprofessional, and out of 3 rooms, only the last one smelt fair. The other 2 smelt sewerage.
Many other concerns, cleanliness, water pressure in that room were like a drip.
The following morning asked for a rectification; which was aceptable but not 5 star. Mould in shower.

Amazing hotel! The most beautiful pool! The place is full of trees with flowers. Food from the restaurant is very good, prices are like in all the other restaurants from Kata. Breakfast was maybe a little repetitive, but you can always find something to eat. There were eggs, sausages, rice and chicken, vegetables, pancakes, fruits, cakes and biscuits, juices and coffee, dry fruits, etc.
The cleaning was made daily. We had a lot of towels, even beach towels, slippers and a beach bag. They put bottled water in the room daily, free of charge. The transport till the beach (or town) is assured by theme all they long.
The property is literally on the hill. But we knew this. They offers free transport to and from the beach. So, nothing to complain.

Chambre spacieuse
Salle de bain un peu petite

The view over the Kata Beach is stunning. Also, the pool area is very nice.
The breakfast and food in general was limited and average.

Really nice staff, courtesy bus to the beach, quiet pool.
I know they have to cater to a wide international clientele, but I did find the breakfast offering a little left field, for example I have never been offered sauteed potatoes as a breakfast option.

Not giving water because " it's the check out day".
What an impressive last touch.

Lovely pool area. Good location at quieter end of Kata Beach. Helpful and efficient taxi service at hotel.
Potential to be a wonderful hotel, however it is let down by the poor quality of it's food and restaurant services. The pool bar often closed early. Service in the restaurant in the evening was slow and the food was not of good quality. One of our dishes was poorly cooked showing raw chicken - they were happy enough to take the dish away but still wanted us to pay for it. The rooms were adequately but not sparkly clean. The air conditioning was temperamental and one of our rooms smelt damp.

Rooms were great, pool was nice
TV had absolutely nothing to watch, 6 non English channels, and 1x English boring news channel, hotel should include a streaming device.
Breakfast was limited, real juice, and more variety needed.

The location of the resort was fantastic with exceptional views. A hill we needed to conquer each time to go home but this was fine. The staff were great and the amenities were great. The pools were nice and the bar area overlooking the beach was ideal
The transport to and from the beach could've been offered more frequently.

Breakfast and pool
the toilet didn't have a proper door, it had like 5-7cm between both parts, was like going without a door. everything was broken, like the phone, and employees didn't care, they just tell you try again later, should be working... in the end they changed the phone and it worked

Beautiful hotel. We got a free upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite which was an incredible room. The staff were always polite and happy to help. The pool was great with a few layers and a view of the ocean from the top. The bottom of the hill had great access directly to a lovely white sand beach or lots of shops and restaurants.
If I have to be picky: of course, if you want great views, it is better to be on top of a hill. But the hill is very steep. It is only a 5 minute walk, which is fine downhill, but uphill in the summer heat is quite tough. The hotel does offer a free hourly shuttle though. And the walk is good to walk off dinner.
