Location
Couldn't work TV. Shower heat difficult to control

Very peaceful by the river and close enough to walk to main sights of Salisbury
Room was a bit dirty and tired. Cobwebs in corners, very dirty between main and secondary glazing, curtains didn't close properly, when people moved around upstairs it was very noisy in the room.
It was very expensive I felt for what we got. I actually paid more than the declared price on the wall in the reception (for my room type) which is very unusual.

We loved our room, friendly staff, and the location on the river with a short walk into town.
Everything was fine.

I loved the location of the hotel and the room was comfortable and well appointed and opened out onto the garden where you could sit and enjoy the river view. The shower was very good with good pressure and consistent hot water.
The staff in the dining room were attentive and helpful.
Breakfast was particularly good, with an excellent hot, full English!
There was nothing to dislike but the light on one side of the bed didn’t work and the bathroom could do with some repainting.
I was interested in booking a punt along the river (Sunday morning)and the only information (in reception) was a card with contact details. There was no response until it was time to return home. I was told it wouldn’t be available until midday. I think it would be good to have had this information in the hotel, especially as the punt trip leaves from the hotel garden.

All was good .
Just the room needed airing before we arrived. There was a slight damp smell when we arrived.

Nicely set out and fabulous location next to the river
A little dated

The hotel is well located. It sits alongside a river with a quaint little bridge over it. There is a local corner shop at the end of the street and a pub to get a meal in around the corner. Approximately a 10 minute walk into town which is a lovely little town with plenty of places to shop, eat and drink etc.. it has a decent parking area too. The bed was comfortable. I like how our room opened up to the grassed seating area with a river view. I opened the curtains in the morning and saw a duck outside the door. Just lovely. The room was spacious and had a hairdryer, kettle with tea, coffee etc, iron and ironing board, TV etc... Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was nice and the eating area looked good too although we never ate here (we only stayed 1 night). You'll have to let them know if you have mobility issues as to get to our room you had to go up and down quite a few steps.
The rooms need to be updated, more so the bathroom. We were in room 15 and our bath really was more than ready for replacing as the coating off the bath all around the plug area was peeling away. Toilet roll and tissues provided felt cheap. There were cigarette butts in the ashtrays outside left from previous guests. We are non-smokers so found this a bit disgusting. Breakfast seemed over priced so we opted to go to Weatherspoons in town instead. Both breakfasts including refillable drinks were less than £20 there. I think if you mention you are staying for a special occasion it would be nice if the hotel did a little something extra as a nice surprise for guests, for example, a bottle of wine/chocolates or something even a little note saying 'Happy anniversary' (we were there for our anniversary)...but they don't do anything.

No elevators. Had to carry the luggage .

Fantastic situation. Nice to have a patio with view of the cathedral.
Slightly tired decor which could do with refreshment. Some mould in grouting in bathroom could easily be removed.

Everything except ……….
The music in the restaurant both dinner and breakfast.
Tap in the bathroom sprays over you.

Room was lovely with doors out to patio, to overlook the beautiful river. Excellent dinner and very good breakfast.
Great advice from Lucy when booking as to good choice of room.

It’s proximity to the river it was so pretty and tranquil-also liked the quirky layout and the food in the evening was nice
The room I had was lovely although possible for some it would need updating. I wasn’t bothered as it just worked out so well
I’d imagine if there was a wedding on it wouldn’t be so tranquil

Beautiful location, close to the medieval city
Bedroom with no window, just a skylight in a sort of chimney

The breakfast was absolutely lovely. Hot and fresh with plenty of choice. The location on the edge of the river was also absolutely beautiful & close to the town centre
The location was brilliant the staff was very nice. However, our short stay away was ruined and spoilt by the room we booked & paid for was unavailable, clearly double booked. The room we were offered was disgusting. Dull, no daylight, i.e., window. Dark and grim. No space, no bath and not pleasing to the eye in any way. After complaining we were offered one night in the original room we booked (The Suite) of which was spacious & over looking the river so lovely window view however cobwebs & photos show the state of the room. Clean bedding & bathroom but otherwise tatty & disappointing. We checked out the following morning. I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

Room very basic. Bathroom not clean.

The building is rather dated and the shower controls were jammed on hot, I reported this to the receptionist who had a look and managed to free the control.

Beautiful hotel , our room 16 had it on doors that opened to the garden which was lovely sitting there in the evening with views of the garden River & cathedral, bed very comfortable, robes & slippers were provided in our room , plenty of tea & coffee in our room also very nice .
Been on the ground floor, at night I could hear people walking around upstairs & sounded very loud 😳, the lights in the bathroom were not very bright & one was broken, shower curtain had seen better days , carpets didn't look hovered ,

Confusion over billing and checkout. Breakfast items not available

Breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice. Rooms were well appointed, large double bed was very comfortable. The view from the terrace is lovely, river and cathedral. White fluffy dressing gowns were a nice extra.
Evening meal was disappointing, very greasy. The wine prices were high
6.0
Excellent location and, mostly, friendly staff. Stayed before so it just about met our expectations.
We were given a room that was effectively below ground as the only window that was not large was actually at the level of the ground so anyone looking in would have to bend down to do so. The bar shut (empty) so we struggled to get a drink at a time before nine.
