Excellent value for money, clean and comfy bed, hot shower and high quality breakfast cooked well! Friendly staff and as a solo traveller it was spot on.
Carpets/decor could do with a refresh.
4.0
nice basic room just right for a bed for the night breakfast was good along with service location was ok parking bit of a problem but ended uo in railway car park which was cheap for length of stay
only one chair in room and shelving or table at bedside would have been better
3.0
Majority of staff were nice, bedding clean! towels clean! Bar nice when drunks not in there !
Dirty carpet. Rude lady on Sunday a.m. stairs! noisy! Drunk people on arrival!

Carpet filthy, bed awful
2.0
Inexpensive and convenient location for meeting friend. Private shower.
Disturbance at night from music in bar downstairs and drunken guest next door (who'd forgotten his room). No parking facility. Reception was through the bar, which at nighttime was busy. No breakfast provided early on Saturday morning. Linen and towels weren't replaced.

The staff were very friendly and helpful & the food was very nice but the rooms do need refurbishing the carpets & general decoration were in a poor state, although the bed linen was fresh and the bathroom was clean too. Apart from this I did enjoy my stay!

The location was great and the bar seemed okay.
There was no heating apart from a small, noisy fan heater. When I complained, the staff and management were unconcerned and in no way apologetic. The same with the broken shower.

great location and convenient
the door to the hotel wasn’t opening which meant made it difficult to get in independently in the evening.

Location
The corner of the bed was under a fixed shelf, so to get into or out of the bed, draw the curtsins etc. my husband had to climb on the bed.to get to the other side.

THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
A ltttle noisy on occasion

The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the very friendly and amicable bar staff. The lovely lady we saw each morning for breakfast was their only good feature.
The rooms were small, dirty, dated and needed complete overhaul. We were staying with an assistance dog and had asked for a quiet room. We were placed in a room up 3 flights of stairs in a bedroom overlooking the railway line and Main Street. The noise was horrendous, mainly thanks to the ill fitting single glazing windows, but also the drunken patrons that shouted and blasted their TV’s through til the early morning! The mattresses on the bed were the worst I have ever experienced. You could see the springs just looking at them! The carpets were stained, shower door falling off and shower head broken so water sprayed in every direction but where you wanted it to. An utter disappointment! Breakfast had the choice of a full English or veggie breakfast; tea, coffee, pineapple juice or orange juice. No other options, no menu, no dietary needs met, no decaf choices, no gluten free bread, nothing! When we asked to be moved to a quieter room we were told that the hotel was full…. funny how we only saw 4 other people each day at breakfast!

Breakfast was great and the shower was very powerful.
The bed was the worst bed we have ever slept on. Springs were sticking out all over the mattress.
4.5
Ideal location. Quiet, bar good value
1.0
Location ok. Breakfast ok
Cleanliness awful
Shower awful
1.5
The only good thing was the proximity to where I needed to be.
The room was dirty, the bathroom was far too small, the bed was uncomfortable. The furniture in the room was chesp and poorly put together.
