excellent customer service

We loved the location, the breakfast was brilliant and good quality. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and tidy. The addition of a hair dryer was good too.
There was no full length mirror in the room which would have been useful, and there were no plug points either side of the bed to use to charge phones overnight.

We walked into our room and straight back out, filthy conditions. Thick black mould in bathroom, dead flies and moths in the room.

Parking was just around the back in the Hotel's car park. My room was a dream, space to move and a full bathroom. Breakfast each morning was a joy, you could order whatever you wanted.
The city was only a short walk away, a real joy to walk around, even in winter weather. There are multiple eating places in the town.
At the hotel the staff were always friendly and cheerful, a real joy considering the weather
Very little. I was let down by there being no Pizza when I had already made enquiry during the day.

Good breakfast. It was possible to open the room window wide and a fan was provided, which was appreciated as it was a surprisingly warm night. It was fairly close to the centre for looking round.
We had to walk down to the other Great Western hotel in the centre (the George) for our evening meal. However, it was less than 10 minutes and as guests of the Cathedral Hotel we had a discount. The food there was good. I did feel the room en suite was cramped with the towels right next to the toilet. Also the hairdryer was attached to the desk, overhanging the bin!

Staff, breakfast and location
All good

A very friendly, welcoming and helpful reception staff who ensured we got the best out of our stay in Lichfield. Easy short stroll past the cathedral and in to the town.
Paying additional £5 for parking, but still a good value stay in a handy location.

Location was good and breakfast was also good
The bathroom needs a desperate upgrade as mould around bath and hardly any room to shower due to sloping ceiling.
The heating was on full all night made it difficult to sleep until we turned it off

Lovely location that did a really good Christmas party with a benefit of rooms that you can stay in

Breakfast was good, although slightly oily.
Lovely friendly staff.
Taps in bathroom, no clear hot and cold.

Breakfast was spot on
I had to pay £5 to park because I booked with booking.com

There was nothing I did not like .

Great breakfast and very friendly and attentive staff.
The bedroom wasn't cleaned on the first night and as a result the towels weren't changed.

The room was very comfortable with a lovely king size bed. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Being on the 2nd floor was a bit of a climb with no lift. Parking limited so we had to park on the road when we returned in the evening and it would have been annoying if we had paid for parking.

breakfast good, room ok.

Great location, staff were fantastic, extremely helpful
Free parking if you booked directly with the hotel, but had to pay if booked through another means.

Staff were great, location was perfect, food was ok.
Yes, it was a 3 star, but I could make it 4 with a revamp because the staff made it. They didn't fault without anything we needed.
Helped with bags, made sure if we needed anything, they would get us.
I'm not sure if it was just me but smelt very old people's home. Sorry to say. Notbsurebif that was just decor.

clean, modern, great location.
small car park

Staff were very friendly, room was spacious, bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space
The bathroom was tiny, water spat out of the sink, a slight pong from the drain and there's a damp smell in the bar area

Very friendly reception, breakfast and cleaning staff. Great traditional breakfast. Very good offer for reduction in restaurant of sister hotel . Plenty of parking only short walk to cathedral and town centre.
Hotel and bar area is a bit dated. All clean but a bit creaky. No evening food option bur plenty available a walk away.

The room was superb
Roomy and clean
The daytime receptionist was great but the best member of staff was the lady who took my breakfast order. Very friendly and genuine. A credit to the hotel
The bed squeeked which wasn't great for my partner and I
Also I found the overnight attendant a bit moody and unfriendly

Not a lot really, staff friendly but that's about it
The overall decor of the hotel,
Run down, smelly and not a pleasant place to sleep.
Shower facilities were horrendous, complained but got an answer back , they are all like this!!
Lack of maintenance on fabric , stains on carpets just a very dull place to to stay , especially when your away from your home comforts.
Couldn't wait to leave.

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was a larger double as requested with adequate bathroom and seating area. The hotel is a short walk from the Cathedral and their are some really good restaurants and a Theatre a 15 minute walk away. The car park was adequate.
The cooked breakfast was adequate only but not expensive. Some dust noted under the bed without a serious inspection.

Information about a wedding party being there at the same time as us. The noise was excessive and stopped us getting any sleep until about midnight. Had we known about this we would not have booked there.

The staff were very helpful, despite arriving early we were able to leave luggage in our room before going into the city. Staff provided us with information as to which way to go to the city centre, the sights and eateries and were very pleasant. We left on Sunday before cooked breakfast was available but were able to have a good continental breakfast and plenty of toast. Again staff were very willing to be of help.
It would have been good to have had an armchair in between the adult and the childs bed for sitting in to watch tv rather than having to sit on the bed to do so.
A dimmer switch would be nice, the lights in the room were very bright.
