Relaxing time in good location

Friendly staff. Good sized room. Good place for relaxation. Pool area nice

Poor for vegetarian, gluten and dairy free on the restaurant dinner menu. We had to eat elsewhere after first night. A little thought and a couple of simple GF pasta, tagine or veggie curry additions to the menu would be good. Breakfast by contrast was well catered for

Ein schönes Hotel in schöner Umgebung - wenn nur die Partygäste nicht wären.

Die Zimmer und das Bad haben eine komfortable Größe. Es empfhielt sich ein Zimmer zum Golfplatz hin zu buchen. Zum Parkplatz hin ist doch bis spät in die Nacht Bewegung und Lärm.

Das Frühstück ist für deutsche Gäste eintönig. Kärgliches Müsli und Marmeladentoast. Die Tische werden nur schleppend abgeräumt. Wir waren am Wochenende und dem folgenden Bankfeiertag in diesem Hotel. Leider fehlt es an der für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie dann an der nötigen Ruhe. Jungesellen/innen Abschiede, Golfcliquen und sonstige Parties werden ausgiebig und laut gefeiert.

Very good, as usual, apart from the breakfast options

Large room with excellent facilities. The staff were very attentive and happy to help.

There was no menu at breakfast and no obvious cooked breakfast choice apart from a full English or parts of it. As a 4 star hotel I think that items such as Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Eggs with Salmon etc should have been available.

The whole stay was ruined .

Beautiful room . Food excellent Lots of other problems

No outdoor light. Promised by staff someone would fix it …. No one arrived. Attitude of reception staff. No remote in room 125 . Spa treatment was faulty . Tables filthy in the bar area . We had to ask them to clean our table

Disappointing - not worth the money.

The staff were pleasant and the room was a good size and reasonably clean

We paid £480 or a 2 night stay. It was simply not worth this. 1. We paid an additional £30 for 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees. Both the sandwiches were the wrong order and the quality was very poor. Other than breakfast (which was pre-paid), we chose not to eat in the hotel again after this. 2. The lounge area was quiet, yet the tables not been wiped. The area was not very clean. 3. The restrooms on the ground floor had not been cleaned for 2 days (according to the hotel's own sign board in the toilet). They looked like a motorway service station toilet and there was no soap or sanitizer to clean your hands. 4. There was a wedding on the 2nd night and this kept us awake until 2pm from the accompanying Disco and banging of doors. 5. We were not advised at check-in that the room would not be cleaned (towels refreshed) after the first night. There was a small card in the room explaining this, but we had not spotted this. We had to go to Reception to get additional supplies and request new towels. 6. Other than our room, the hotel appeared dirty and unloved. I have spent more than 1,500 nights in hotels over the last 20 years and have a balanced view as to what to expect and rarely complain. At this price point the hotel should have had touches of luxury; but it fell well short of this. We would have been underwhelmed had we paid 50% of what we did.

Wouldn't return!!

Good location and reception and var areas look nice and kept clean

Obviously, we expected golfers but not rude and loud ones!! The Hotel (especially our room) is showing signs of age... marked skirting boads, pealing paint, and wallpaper. The spa, too, is in need of a refurbishment. Also, dirty glasses, plates and empty bottles outside peoples room were not removed for hours!!

Beautiful hotel and stay

The room was beautiful with our own garden area and we were given an upgrade for our anniversary and a chocolate treat. The spa was lovelyt oo, and the actual design of the hotel and the furniture was stunning

The air con did not work in our room which was really uncomfortable and the food in the restaurant was not great in the evening unfortunately, and we had to ask for our drinks 3 times

Location for our stay.

Receptionist on 13/8/23 1.30pm -3pm. On arrival Comment made to 2 elderly gentleman men booking in infront of us. Completely unprofessional made both my daughter and I feel very uncomfortable. Luckily we felt the gentleman didn't know what she was talking about. Comment was, 'A double room, who is going to be the big spoon and who is going to be the little spoon' Unbelievable quiet frankly, we were shocked!! I then felt uncomfortable booking in with her and she was the only person on reception.

Not great to be honest - sitting outside the room overlooking the golf course was the best part

The location was pretty much the only thing that was good - but that's just circumstantial to the hotel

Check in was very slow and painful - seems only one member of staff was available to service a number of guests. a lack of exceptional customer service was evident, as was any real experience or knowledge in that area. Room service order took a long time and wasn't correct. Room could have been cleaner, more towels and toilet paper.

I’ve stayed about 5 times now and this time weren’t as good as the last as the our next door kept us awake all night with noise and rude, and also I had one pint of becks from the bar and was vomiting all night it was stale and didn’t taste right other than this the staff were great 👍🏻

enjoyable stay, Hubby enjoyed his golf and a nice break to our journey

large, very comfortable room altho a little lacking in character . Evening meal In restaurant was very good as was breakfast

Lovely Weekend Stay

Lady on reception was lovely. House keeper very helpful in finding us a more powerful hair dryer. Room was clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable.

Everything was lovely but if i had to pick holes ..there was no availability at the spa, but understandable i suppose as our stay was a weekend.

Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good.

Corridors smelt of cigarette smoke, checking in process didn't give all info clearly, room wasn't clean (but bed sheets were clean) - huge amounts of dust on tea tray (incl mugs and glasses) and bathroom floor wasn't clean. Corridor had lots of dirty room service outside, including outside our room when we didn't have any, so must have been there a while.

Good facilities, food and staff spoilt by disrespectful hotel guests

Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Too often buffet style hot breakfast can be dried up but definitely not the case here.

Unfortunately we had noisy neighbours either side of our room that kept us awake until the early hours which put a dampener on our stay.

Pleasant two day break.

Ground floor location of our room. Size and decoration. Large bathroom which included bath and shower. Breakfast choice.Free parking. Helpful and pleasant staff.

Great hotel and facilities, spacious rooms and great value - see you again soon!

Lovely hotel and facilities, an added bonus was the acoustic singer “Callum” in the bar area. I’d messaged in advance to ask if there was anything on but told no. So this was a bonus. The hotel was extremely busy due to Mothers Day lunch ( upstairs). Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We had the evening dinner which was lovely and catered for mum who is gluten free. We stayed in the bar area Sunday afternoon to take advantage of the entertainment and went over the spa on Monday. All staff were spoke to were very helpful and professional, reception, bar staff, waiting on staff and leisure staff. Thank you ps. I always leave feedback saying have a singer on as makes for a great atmosphere! Also that last time we stayed we noticed the rooms were a little dusty/ cobwebs but I know towards the end on the pandemic it was hard to hire / retain good staff. Fair to say the staff we met we’re working g hard to ensure everything was completed. Spotless this time 👍

We didn’t have a problem but some staff were waiting at the bar for a while. Nut it was Mothers Day so an even t on upstairs plus heard people complain at reception as treatments had been cancelled ( staff sickness) this has happened to us previously at a hotel on the Wirral and is disappointing! The only thing we noticed was the jacuzzi was out of order (being repaired on the Monday). PS. Perhaps out a cheeseboard on the bar menu!
