The room was big and spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! We will miss that. The staff were polite and very helpfull but not too much. Just the perfect standard. The location was good as it was quiet even though it was by the main road. Beautiful hotel and we will come again.
The tuk tuk men outside the hotel were too much and constantly tried to get hold of you. We befriended one and soon regretted it unfortunately.
Also we had an unfortunate experience when we left. My old mum accidently packed one of the hotels face flannels and the hotel charged us $3 for it (worth like 50cents). Fair enough we packed it buuttt $3 - and couldn't they just let it go? It was just a flannel and we spend $130 on top of our stay on food, drinks and hotel car rides.

This is an exceptional hotel. The reception from the staff on arrival, checkin, room cleaning staff and restaurant staff was all A1. Breakfast was amazing . The pool area is relaxing and the gym well equipped . Nothing is too much for the staff .
The hotel is within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and shops . Tuk tuks are readily available and cheap .
The only small downsides : our room fronted out on to other buildings and on our last night there was so much noise . The other three nights were perfect . Prices at the restaurants are quite high but food is of good quality .

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect and the meals were excellent but what really made it special was the staff. They were so helpful and kind. They made us feel like royalty. Andy the manager noticed that my son was son was turning 15 when he looked at his passport and he had the chef make a delicious brithday cake which he presented to him on his birthday when we returned from dinner. We have traveled on my son's birthday for 10 years and no one has ever noticed, let alone gotten him a birthday cake! When we were leaving, our car didn't show up, so the staff drove us to the airport and helped us with our bags. My husband and I have travelled extensively and never felt so taken care of! Andy and the rest of the staff made our trip one we won't forget.

Staff eccezionale. Gentilissima
Avrei voluto qualche bustina di tè in camera.

Niedaleko centrum ale w cichej okolicy, w oddaleniu od drogi, można pieszo podejść do centrum lub skorzystać z wszechobecnych tuktuk. Hotel przestrzenny i z klasą. Szeroka oferta.
Brak kawy decaf i opcji mleka roślinnego. Kawa na śniadaniu niedobra.
Pokój zdecydowanie do odnowy, widać już zużycie.

Staff were so friendly and so helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. They were very accommodating with a late check out. The location was perfect.

They tried to charge me for the room again during check-out, despite having paid for the room via booking.com in advance. They claimed they hadn't received the payment from booking.com so demanded I pay again. Left it upon me to contact customer service and sat for over an hour trying to clarify things between the hotel and booking.com. I was on the phone for 45 minutes on an international call with customer service while the hotel staff did nothing to help me out, in what was basically a situation they should be handling with booking.com. All payments had been made by me through booking.com months in advance and booking.com customer service confirmed the same to them but they still demanded payment from me. There was no reason to harass the guest for an issue between them and their booking partner. Absolutely pathetic and untrained reception and reservation staff and it was the worst experience I have ever faced.

This resort is beautiful - one of our best hotel stays in Siem Reap. Cambodians are the most courteous and friendly people we've had the pleasure to meet.
The staff provided great hospitality and helpfulness during my stay. Overall experience was wonderful.

Fantastic hotel with great facilities. Large swimming pool with lots of shaded sunbeds. Well-appointed gym. Plenty of local and Western options for breakfast.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I was in Siem Reap to see my young niece and nephew who were allowed to use the pool, which was wonderful.
Only slight negative is the location. Nothing is far away in Siem Reap by Tuk Tuk but there isn't much of interest to Western tourists in the immediate area - cafes, restaurants etc. In the very hot season (April) it was a too far to walk to the Riverside & Pub St during the day.

Breakfast!!!!! It was so well presented with a significant list of options to meet any diet need. Prepared and served by sincerely pleasant individuals. I highly recommend all food service options available for a delicious meal.
Only item lacking was a central guide book available in the room with maps, instructions and eatery options and direction to city sites. However, information is readily available in direct conversation with main desk staff, 24/7.

Drinks at the bar were relatively expensive

Everything was above our expectations. Concierge Ratanek (Andy) was soooo helpful in every aspect of our stay from our arrival through to our departure. Room was very nice and tastefully decorated. Entire hotel was spotless. Pool was very nice and the breakfast was excellent with many western and Cambodian food choices.
Complimentary ride to the airport at our departure capped off a perfect stay.
No complaints. we only wish we could/should have stayed longer.

Really lovely hotel. Staff was excellent. The gentleman concierge who greeted us when we arrived in the evening was great booking restaurants on and off site as well as rides. The buffets had choices galore and the quality was great. The bar at the pool was great for a drink and an appetizer.
The service around the pool was poor.

What I liked most about the hotel was it is very green: there are palm trees, jackfruit trees, tall trees as well as plants in the whole compound which made it very pleasant, particularly in the evenings. The spaciousness of the hotel both indoors and outdoors was very refreshing. The staff were courteous and very efficient in dealing with requests. The facilities are great. The outdoor swimming pool is big. The spa is conveniently located next to the pool and in a separate building. The spa rooms are very spacious and clean, and the staff professional. The hotel room was also clean and spacious. It had a balcony which overlooks a green lawn. The buffet breakfast was also great. There was local food as well as continental and a wide range of tropical fruits. There are two restaurants, Bakan and Ox Club. While Bakan was average, Ox Club was excellent in terms of food as well as the service.
I would definitely stay here again.
Suggestion for improvements: the service at Bakan Restaurant could be improved. We had lunch twice. The service was a little slow and the food was okay. The portions could be more generous.

The staff were wonderful and kind, and the pool area is amazing. Absolutely loved the facilities.
We are a vegan family and specifically requested that we be accommodated for the included breakfast. The first 3 days were great because there was an entire table that was exclusively vegan food. This was when there was a large group of people from India staying there. Evidently the food was actually to accomodate them and not my family at all. As soon as this group left there was literally nothing for breakfast that we could eat. All the vegan options went away, no curry, not even plain vegetables anymore! When the group from India was there they made sure the veggies did not contain any animal products, and then when they left they inexplicably started putting oyster sauce in the veggies. The potatoes were moved to the table with meat, and people were using the same tongs to choose their meat as they were to pick up the potatoes. This is hugely offensive to vegans so we couldn't even eat those. My children opted to go hungry and my wife and I ate plain white rice. I am so tremendously dissapointed with this lack of care or attention to our dietary requirements, which for vegans are the equivalent of a faith based need. Aside from this terrible part of our stay, it otherwise was a wonderful place with excellent, friendly staff.
Oh, actually one more complaint. The Internet connection was absolutely awful, which is totally unacceptable at a 5 star resort. They need to get this sorted out immediately. I work remotely and being able to have a solid Internet connection is fundamental to my business.

The pool area is lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds as the hotel was nowhere near capacity when we visited (Jan 2023). The food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner is delicious, though prices are high by local standards. The breakfast is varied, with both local and Western options. Many dishes at breakfast are available to order such as egg dishes, noodles and stir-fries.
The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was also large, the shower pressure was incredible, and the massive bathtub was great!
I loved the location of this hotel: set back from the road (peaceful) and a short walk into Siem Reap. There is a pharmacy down the road where you can get cheap water and soft drinks (rather than pay hotel prices). I should add that small bottles of water were provided daily with the housekeeping, for which we were grateful.
There are several areas this hotel could do better in order to elevate the guests' experience.
1. Though very friendly, the staff can be a little overbearing. We had arrived from our flight, I was feeling quite unwell, and we were given a full tour of the hotel before being shown to our room. It would be better to be left to settle in. Around the pool or sat working remotely, we were periodically asked if we wanted food or drinks. It would be better to be left to relax / work.
2. Rooms need a little TLC. There were very few plug sockets and only half of them actually worked, which made it tricky to charge devices.
3. They play loud music around the pool. I could even hear it over my AirPods, which put me off sunbathing.

The staff was incredible. They were all very kind, helpful and hospitable. The hotel itself was beautiful! The pool and patio were both quiet yet fun and lively. Breakfast was delicious with options for everyone. The staff made us feel special celebrating our honeymoon. They surprised us with a rose petal display on our bed when we first arrived. Borei Hotel made our trip to Cambodia one to remember. We would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Siem Reap!
We loved everything about our stay! However, one thing we believe could be improved would be the amount of seating around the pool area. At one point, we didn’t have space to sit at the pool, as it was already full.

The hotel was immaculate throughout and the staff couldn’t have more welcoming and so helpful very sad to leave

The staff was polite and friendly. The breakfast had good variety of options and the service there was quick. The location was quiet but not too remote. The staff at the front door were also very helpful with getting tuk tuk rides and so on.
There were a number of electrical problems in my room. During the first night a fuse went out for an unknown reason. They sorted that out very quickly. The ”do not disturb” and ”housekeeping” lights and the doorbell didn’t work during my whole stay and they didn’t fix those although I asked about that twice.

Great staff, who are so happy to make you feel at home. As the complimentary mpv & chauffeur made its way up a spacious front driveway, the Borei Angkor seemed like a verdant oasis of calm in the middle of busy Siem Reap. Mr Watana Tan & his team at frontdesk was very kind to us. He accommodated our request for flexible check in / check out times which was most appreciated.
Not all facilities were fully functioning/available but given Covid times, it was good enough! Although our in-room tub was a standard soaking one, the hotel's Spa (steam, sauna & hot/cold jacuzzi) was a treat to use after our daily temple brisk walks & adventure stair-climbing! We were grateful for the generous portions
& variety of food items in our full breakfast deal, even though we missed their New Year's Eve special dinner & show but that was because of our own planning schedule.
