Staff - very pleasant and helpful, rooms - spacious and clean, bar - excellent selection of beer on tap, outdoors - lpvely space for a short walk, breakfast - tasty and plentiful
Pool - freezing cold, food in bar - served in 5 mins (far too quick!), atrium - lacked atmosphere

Breakfast was a good selection but could be warmer or microwave in the restaurant
No carlsberg in the bar would have liked a view from the room but that’s the luck of the draw

Attended a wedding recently. Beautiful location. Food was beautiful and breakfast delicious.
2.5
Nice grounds. Easy to get to (off M4). Hard working ground staff. High quality food. Good quality breakfast.
Mediocre rooms. "No frills" at any point. Basic facilities, at a premium price. Little character. No attention to detail noted. Nothing would endear me to return.

We stayed in the lodges, so had an independent stay from the hotel which we liked the freedom off. We could use hotel facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities were very good.
When we checked into the lodge they allocated us, it was not what was advertised on booking. Com it was in need of refurbishment and the fridge door did not close. I did contact reception and told them I was not happy they moved us to an executive lodge as what matched the pictures on your site. They said the other lodge was a standard lodge this was not reflective from the advertising on your site. Only the bar was opened not the main restaurant it only opened from Wed or Thurs for evening meals, this was a bit disappointing but realise post covid things have changed. Food was average in the bar.

Amenities were good
Room was too hot and the windows could only be opened small amount.
Service in the brasserie was poor.

Breakfast was very good. The best meals of our stay.
The bed was very uncomfortable, very noisy(every time I moved I woke my wife and vice versa). The toilet seat badly needs to be fitted properly. Wardrobe doors need to be fixed so they close.

Spa was overpriced. Corridor and pool area off spa was freezing cold

lovely hotel, Gordon, the duty manager was excellent and helped us no end along with Denize in the restaurant who was super too
we found the manager of the spa very hard to work with to accommodate us but Gordon managed to help and sort the slots for us to go together

The staff are exceptional - friendly, professional, well informed and determined to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The spa is excellent and the room was comfortable.
We ate dinner upstairs at the Coach house. The food was good but the atmosphere would be better if the lighting was softer, the decor cosier and the TV switched off. Next time we'll try the other restaurant. The staff were great though!

Hotel was amazing! Fresh and clean! All the staff we met during our stay had a smile and it was quiet clear they were happy to be working there, which is always a plus!
Menu in the Coach House bar was average but service was great! Breakfast was perfect, gentleman at the door, host I’m sure was welcoming and was great with young kids, he interacted with my own and then I could also see him helping another family which the little one was a little out of sorts! Those are the kind of things that you remember, going the extra mile! Leisure centre extremely clean and kids loved the pool!
Couldn’t fault much, other than we booked a lodge purely so we all didn’t have to go to bed at same time as kids due to sharing an open plan room. We received a call the day before our arrival to be made aware of maintenance issues in lodge, at this point we couldn’t not accept the room in the hotel as we promised the kids a night away. so meaning we were all in bed by 9:30pm

the staff are very friendly and the spa is exceptional
we had booked dinner for 8pm but when we came down we where told the restaurant is closed the the waiter sat us in the bar with a football match playing she then moved us to the package deal area
however we weren’t on a package had paid full price for 2 rooms and then extra for a package dinner very very disappointed

Overall it is a lovely hotel but service let it down so badly
Staff seemed like they weren't trained or in training - a full pint of Guinness was dropped over my fathers back, we were brought wrong drinks, my sister was given a whiskey glass with a chip out of it and only realised when drinking her drink, womens toilets were so dirty, in fairness another guest must have left them this way but when we went back about 1 1/2 hours later, it hadn't been cleaned and my sister brought to their attention. Also think there were some overcharges on our bar bills which were only noticed next day. There was also a glass table outside the Loft which about 3 of our group walked into. Breakfast set up is not very well thought out with queueing system - we just felt it didn't match the 4 stars it has -rooms were nice
