Nice ambience, a big plus that we were served a glass of wine as we were checking in, such a nice touch! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were cozy and had an amazing view over the town. Pool area was very relaxing. The food at restaurant was delicious! We had dinner there and breakfast, top notch!
I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends
You can tell that the hotel is a bit old, especially in the bathrooms.
The gym was not according to photos, so don’t have any high expectations on that part.
All the employees were very polite but their training were lacking a bit (in terms of serving wine, and us not receiving our food at the same time). To be fair, there were a lot of ppl in the restaurant, but I think that a 4 star hotel should be able to serve wine correctly.

clean and modern room, good shower, v friendly staff and good buffet breakfast,
I also appreciated the welcome gift of a small bottle of wine.
I was there over Christmas and took advantage of the hotel's evening meal - it operates a cooking school and the menu included new takes on traditional dishes

beautiful contemporary boutique hotel. Breakfasts were sumptuous. very refreshing pool.
it is located in a fairly remote area. We found that Santiago do Cacem has very few restaurants that we could walk to.

There was an amazing view from the room, the hotel is beautiful and the food was great!
The location isn’t the best since there are no good restaurants around, luckily the hotel offers a great dinner!
The bathroom is a bit dated and not very welcoming.

The space and concept is absolutely lovely. The food was the best we had in Portugal in one week & their pizza is fantastic.
The staff was very kind and welcoming.
We came down to have breakfast at 8:50 and most of the food was gone lol. So be early for your breakfast.
The hotel can work a bit on their cleaning services and remove the cobwebs from the corners.
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel appears to be promoting inclusive employment of locals.
Friendly staff.
Average hotel.
Visible wear and tear damage at rooms and common areas.
Uninteresting location.
Probably more of a family (with children) friendly hotel.
Mediocre but polite service.
Overall, not being expensive, it’s not worth the rate, nor the 4* classification.

The rooms were nicely done and the beds were super comfortable.
Few on site amenities (e.g. indoor pool or spa) , which was more noticeable during periods of bad weather.

The hotel has a wonderful concept, joining the restaurant (with cooking lessons available) with your stay.
The location is very nice, with a good view of the castle, and the hotel itself is very accomodating. The staff were all friendly, and service was always great.
Nothing really.

A little dated around the edges.
The town is a ghost town

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and nice relaxed atmosphere. The pool was very nice.
There seemed to be some staffing issues at the hotel the week we were there - with very junior members of team in training (all very pleasant) and very little sign of any more senior team members, which led to a few issues during our stay.

Breakfast was excellent, a great variety of breads, hot food, fruit, cheese, eggs, etc. The staff was exceedingly kind and did all they could to make our stay a pleasant one. The room was nicely decorated and as we stayed on the ground floor (Sunset room), we had access to the lawn and were able to enjoy the magnificent view. We were greeted with a welcome drink at the lobby as we waited for the room to be available. In the room, we had a small bottle of red wine and some cheese and toast to welcome us as well. These are small details but make an excellent impression on the newly arrived guests. The pool was big enough and the chairs were plenty to accommodate the guests who spent a few hours there in the afternoon. The food in the restaurant was very good as well and it is worth trying the local delicacies (the Alentejo gazpacho was excellent).
Unfortunately, this hotel is experiencing the same kind of problem most hotels all over the country are: lack of experienced personnel. Although the waiters at the restaurant were very kind, they were mostly young people with seemingly no experience, thus affecting the quality of the service. The housekeeping was short staffed as well and every day when we come back from the beach at around 3PM, the beds were still not made and the bathroom was not clean. As I said before, this is not an issue that is affecting only this hotel. So I hope that my comments will serve as a reinforcement for attracting and hiring more personnel. I truly believe once this problem is sorted out, this hotel will certainly deserve the best reviews in all items. And the positive aspects I mentioned above overpass these negative ones.
